  • We continue the 2023 PFL season with Week 2 bouts on Friday, April 7th.
  • The 2023 PFL 2 odds suggest Larissa Pacheco will destroy Julia Budd in the main event of the evening.
  • Find out how and where to bet with this betting preview, complete with picks and predictions.

It’s time for Week 2 of the PFL season, which will bring us fights from the heavyweight and women’s featherweight tournaments. The PFL 2 is on the program on Friday, April 7, and I think this will be a great event for betting.

I’m not bragging, but I did correctly predict that the underdog would win in the main event last week. This time, however, I doubt we’ll see a surprise in the headliner.

With the 2023 PFL 2 odds of -750, Larissa Pacheco is very likely to beat Julia Budd in the main fight of the evening. Still, I wouldn’t advise risking $750 to make a $100 profit. The good news is that other bets with much better 2023 PFL 2 betting odds are available at top sports betting sites.

Before I tell you which bets are those, let me show you which sportsbooks give the best odds for Friday’s event.

Launched in 2018, the Professional Fighters League is still a toddler in the mixed martial arts universe and does explain why so many MMA betting sites do not cover events organized by the PFL.

However, the good news there are a few online sportsbooks that does cover PFL events – BetOnline, SportsBetting.ag, and Bovada. These online bookmakers have published their odds for PFL 2, and you can place your bets straight away.

Now that you know how to bet on PFL 2, it’s time to learn which fighters to back. You must look at the odds to get a better idea of who’s likely to win on Friday.

Latest Odds for PFL 2 in 2023

BetOnline is the top site to wager on the PFL 2 odds. This sportsbook was among the first to release the 2023 PFL 2 odds, offering great value both for favorites and underdogs.

Before placing any PFL bets, make sure you note the latest pricing, and also be sure to shop around and check out what other PFL betting sites are offering.

PFL Week 2 Odds for Main Card Fights

  • Women’s Featherweight: Larissa Pacheco (-750) vs. Julia Budd (+550)
  • Heavyweight: Bruno Cappelozza (-205) vs. Matheus Scheffel (+165)
  • Heavyweight: Denis Goltsov (-300) vs. Yorgan De Castro (+240)
  • Heavyweight: Renan Ferreira (+145) vs. Rizvan Kuniev (-175)

There are four fights on the PFL Week 2 main card, three of which are heavyweight fights. The main event of the evening, however, is a women’s featherweight fight – Larissa Pacheco vs. Julia Budd.

As you can see, Pacheco’s 2023 PFL 2 odds currently stand at -750. This makes the reigning PFL Women’s Lightweight champ the biggest favorite on the entire fight card.

Although no other fighter comes with such odds, a couple of huge favorites are on the preliminary card.

2023 PFL 2 Odds for Preliminary Fights

  • Women’s Featherweight: Olena Kolesnyk (+325) vs. Aspen Ladd (-425)
  • Lightweight: Biaggio Ali Walsh (-600) vs. Isaiah Figueroa (+425)
  • Women’s Featherweight: Martina Jindrova (-240) vs. Amber Leibrock (+190)
  • Heavyweight: Marcelo Nunes (-225) vs. Maurice Greene (+185)
  • Heavyweight: Patrick Brady (+275) vs. Michal Andryszak (-350)
  • Women’s Featherweight: Evelyn Martins (+146) vs. Karolina Sobek (-176)
  • Women’s Featherweight: Marina Mokhnatkina (-500) vs. Yoko Higashi (+375)

Four of the seven 2023 PFL Week 2 prelims feature a favorite with odds of -350 or shorter. This means that oddsmakers think we won’t see too many thrillers on the preliminary card. Big favorites are expected to have a field day.

That’s what bookies think, but if you want to see whether I can smell some upsets happening on Friday, make sure to check out my 2023 PFL 2 predictions.

But before you do, don’t forget to head to BetOnline to get in your bets for your chance at real money.

Top 2023 PFL 2 Picks

  • Larissa Pacheco to Beat Julia Budd
  • Bruno Cappelozza to Beat Matheus Scheffel
  • Yorgan De Castro to Beat Denis Goltsov
  • Biaggio Ali Walsh to Beat Isaiah Figueroa

Priced at -750, Larissa Pacheco looks like the safest bet of the evening, but I cannot recommend putting too much money on her. That’s exactly what you’d have to do to make decent profits – you need to risk $700 to make a hundred bucks.

That simply isn’t a good deal, but there are some great ones on the PFL Week 2 fight card. One of those is Bruno Cappelozza, who I think will get his revenge against Matheus Scheffel for the unanimous-decision loss last season.

It was his first loss since the summer of 2018 when Jiri Prochazka (ex-UFC champ) beat him. Between those two losses, Capelozza went 5-0, winning the 2021 PFL Heavyweight Tournament along the way. Two of those fights saw him beat Ante Delija, whose most recent fight saw him destroy Scheffel by TKO.

Speaking of Delija, the reigning heavyweight champ was supposed to headline the 2023 PFL Week 2 event but had to quit due to an injury. Denis Goltsov stepped in as his replacement and will fight Yorgan De Castro on Friday.

Oddsmakers see De Castro as a +240 underdog, but I think the former UFC star could stage an upset. There are several reasons for that, the main one being that Goltsov has only had a couple of weeks to prepare for this fight.

In addition to the three main card picks, I also got one for a preliminary card – Biaggio Ali Walsh to Beat Isaiah Figueroa. Sure, the odds aren’t too attractive, but I’m almost 100% certain Ali Walsh is going to win on Friday.

Why? Because he’s the grandson of Muhammad Ali, and same as his gramps, he too “floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee.”

2023 PFL 2 Predictions for All Fights

  • Larissa Pacheco to Beat Julia Budd
  • Bruno Cappelozza to Beat Matheus Scheffel
  • Yorgan De Castro to Beat Denis Goltsov
  • Rizvan Kuniev to Beat Renan Fereira
  • Aspen Ladd to Beat Olena Kolesnyk
  • Biaggio Ali Walsh to Beat Isaiah Figueroa
  • Amber Leibrock to Beat Martina Jindrova
  • Maurice Greene to Beat Marcelo Nunes
  • Michal Andryszak to Beat Patrick Brady
  • Karolina Sobek to Beat Evelyn Martins
  • Marina Mokhnatkina to Beat Yoko Higashi

Eleven fights have been confirmed for Friday’s event, and I think the betting favorites will win in most of those. This goes particularly for the favorites that come with PFL 2 odds of -350 or shorter – Pacheco, Ladd, Ali Walsh, Andryszak, and Mokhnatkina.

Admittedly, there’s not much betting value in those, but if you put them together in a parlay, you’ll get the PFL 2 odds of +153.

You can add Cappelozza there as well, thus boosting the odds all the way to +278.

Speaking of Cappelozza, he’s my favorite bet for Week 2. I can see no scenario in which he loses to Scheffel two times in a row. If Cappelozza is your favorite too, then back him at the best betting app for MMA..
