Betting Odds & Pick for the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize – Who Will Win This Year?
- Volodymyr Zelensky is the favorite to win the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize with +275 odds at BetUS.
- Alexei Navalny, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, and Ilham Tohti are other top contenders for the 2023 award.
- My favorite sleeper prediction for the Nobel Peace Prize will be Masih Alinejad (+1600).
The winner of the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize will be announced in just a few weeks. There are many deserving nominees, but unfortunately, not all of them will win.
To be nominated for the award is a high honor, and recognition should still be given across the board.

Odds to Win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2023
Here are the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize odds from BetUS, one of the top betting sites for unique markets. As you can see, Volodymyr Zelensky is the current favorite to win with +200 odds.
There’s a healthy drop-off after him, with Alexei Navalny and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya coming at +500 and +700, respectively. Zelensky’s implied odds of winning are 33.33%, while Navalny is at 16.67%.
You get more money betting on long shots, but they don’t have as good of a chance of winning as the favorite. Speaking of long shots, there are plenty more to choose from.

If there’s someone you’d like to bet on and they have a good price, be sure to place your bet before their odds drop significantly.

Why Is Zelensky the Favorite to Win in 2023?
With any betting market, you always want to look closely at the favorites to see if they are worth betting on.
Favorites have the lowest possible payout but the highest implied chance of winning. It’s our job to decide if the odds are solid enough to bet on and if they should actually be favored or not.
So, the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize odds favor Volodymyr Zelensky. Why is that? Well, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been the most impactful event in the world, and he has helped his country stand tall.
Zelensky is Russia’s main target, which prompted other ally countries to offer evacuation. He responded by saying that he needs “ammunition, not a ride.”
The Ukraine President has even drawn comparisons to Winston Churchill for his war actions.
Russia has still not been able to conquer Ukraine, and Zelensky has also led some counter-offensives in addition to his relentless defenses of his country.
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to the person or organization that has done the most work in promoting peace in the last year. Last year’s winner was Ales Bialiatski, Memorial, and Centre for Civil Liberties.
Many suspected that Zelensky would be the winner, but he was not. Is there a chance they won’t give it to him two years in a row? The war has dominated the Nobel awards recently, so it’s hard to imagine he won’t win in 2023.
It’s hard to imagine anyone else having more impact on demanding peace in the world, and that’s what the award is all about, right? That makes Zelensky the favorite to win, and it’s a bit of a surprise his 2023 Nobel Peace Prize odds are still in positive territory.
You should also use the top entertainment betting sites for markets like this, especially since you can’t find odds anywhere else. As for right now, Zelensky makes a lot of sense, and he has a great price, considering his high chance of winning.

Top 2023 Nobel Peace Prize Contenders
- Alexei Navalny (+500)
- Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya (+700)
- Ilham Tohti (+750)
Let’s say that the Nobel Peace Prize isn’t awarded to President Zelensky this year. In that case, who else would have a high chance of winning?
The odds for the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize tell us that it is Alexei Navalny, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, and Ilham Tohti.
Let’s first look at Alexei Navalny. Dmitry Muratov won the 2021 award and even said it should have been Navalny instead.
I don’t think the Nobel Peace Prize is in the business of trying to correct their mistakes, even if you would call it that. However, it does prove that Navalny has had a massive impact and has the respect of a previous winner.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is a Belarusian political activist, and this is not her first time being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Will this be the year she finally wins?
Another top contender is Ilham Tohti, who is serving a life sentence in China. The Uighur scholar was sentenced eight years ago, but his work still remains prevalent. In fact, he won the award for Man of the Year for The Muslim 500: The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims.
If Volodymyr Zelensky doesn’t win the award, there’s a good chance it’s one of these three.

My Favorite 2023 Nobel Peace Prize Sleeper
Betting on the Nobel Peace Prize is not exactly easy. It’s hard to gauge who has a high chance of winning because everyone nominated has made a massive impact on the world. Some more than others, but it’s hard to compare.
That said, there is a chance that the winner will be a bit of a surprise. Last year’s winner is a perfect example. Many expected it to be Volodymyr Zelensky, but it ended up being Ales Bialiatski, Memorial, and the Center for Civil Liberties.
If you are making your 2023 Nobel Peace Prize pick on a sleeper, you’ll also make a huge profit. For example, my favorite sleeper pick for this year is Masih Alinejad (+1600).
A $100 bet on Zelensky to win would return $300, whereas the same wager would get you $1,700 on Alinejad.
Now, her chances of winning are not nearly as high as Zelensky’s, but she still has a fair shot.
She’s an Iranian activist who has been standing up for freedom of expression, democracy, and women’s rights in her country. Her actions have gained global recognition, meaning she deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.
When making a sleeper prediction, you want to make sure you’re betting on someone with an upside. That’s exactly what you’re getting with Masih Alinejad.

My 2023 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Prediction
I think it makes sense to bet on a sleeper pick, but my official 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner prediction is on the favorite. It’s hard to argue if anyone has had a more global impact than Volodymyr Zelensky in the last year or so.
He’s stood tall against Russia and Vladimir Putin, which is pretty significant, to say the least. Winning the Nobel Peace Prize is something he doesn’t care about, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t win.
It’s also a good idea to place your bets as soon as possible. His price dropped from +275 to +200 as I was writing this, and it could drop even further soon.
