2024 Canadian GP Odds text centered, Max Verstappen and other F1 drivers to left and right
  • BetOnline’s 2024 Canadian Grand Prix odds suggest Verstappen will bounce back after a loss in Monaco.
  • It’s been nearly two years since the last time Verstappen failed to win two races in a row.
  • Leclerc and Norris are seen as Verstappen’s top rivals on June 9, each with the Canadian GP odds of +450.

The 2024 Canadian Grand Prix odds are live at the top auto racing sportsbooks, so it’s time to place your bets. As has been the case throughout the season, Max Verstappen is favored to win, but his 2024 Canadian GP betting odds aren’t as short as they were in most of the previous races.

It’s because his main rivals Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris have tasted blood and are hungry for more. Each of them has already won a race this season, showing the motorsports betting world that Verstappen might not be the undisputed king of Formula 1 after all.

It’s not just Leclerc and Norris who want to see Verstappen fail again. Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz, and many others will do all they can to get to the top of the podium on June 9 in Montreal. So, can some of them actually do it or will Verstappen crush their dreams?

Odds to Win the 2024 Canadian GP

Many great Formula One betting sites have released their Canadian Grand Prix betting odds, but it’s BetOnline that I recommend using. The reason is simple – this sportsbook is giving the best odds for my top Canadian Grand Prix pick.

Even if this wasn’t the case, I’d still recommend betting on Formula 1 at this site. It’s because of its 50% sports bonus up to $1,000, 24/7 support, and many other reasons, all of which you can read about in our BetOnline review.

But let’s get back to the most important thing – the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix odds. Here’s what expects you at BetOnline:

  • Max Verstappen (-215)
  • Charles Leclerc (+450)
  • Lando Norris (+450)
  • Oscar Piastri (+1100)
  • Carlos Sainz Jr. (+2500)
  • Sergio Perez (+3300)
  • George Russell (+6600)
  • Lewis Hamilton (+6600)
  • Fernando Alonso (+12500)

There you have the 2024 Canadian GP odds for the top 9 drivers. All the others are given the odds of +50000 each, suggesting that they have almost no chance of winning.

The driver who’s got the best chance of winning the race on June 9 is Max Verstappen with -215 odds. This makes him an odds-on favorite, but you should know that his odds aren’t as short as they were ahead of some of the previous events on the 2024 F1 calendar.

Excluding the Monaco GP – which he didn’t win – all the other races had Verstappen as a favorite with odds of -300 or shorter. Likewise, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris were only given odds shorter than +500 on only a few occasions this season.

The odds alone are reason enough to place your bets at BetOnline. However, this sportsbook offers a plethora of compelling betting markets, as well as a solid 50% welcome bonus up to $1,000.

Why Is Max Verstappen the 2024 Canada GP Favorite?

The short answer to this question is that he’s the best driver in the world in 2024. A longer answer is that he’s got a special motivation to win this race as he’s coming off a disappointing performance in Monaco two weeks ago.

Sure, the race in Monaco is one of the trickiest events on the F1 calendar, but not many people expected Verstappen to finish outside the podium.

Even in my colleague’s Monaco Grand Prix 2024 preview, he predicted the Red Bull driver was going to win. But he didn’t, he finished in 6th place – his worst finish in exactly 560 days.

For most other drivers, this wouldn’t be too big a deal. But this is the three-time F1 Championship winner we’re talking about, the man who holds numerous motorsports records, including the one for most wins in a season (19).

Speaking of which, he still has a chance to break that record, but for that, he needs to win 15 of the remaining 16 races. Winning the 2024 Canadian GP would be a good start.

If you think he’s gonna do it, why not back him at BetOnline? That’s the site with the best value for Verstappen (-215), with all the other sportsbooks giving shorter odds.

Top Canada Grand Prix Contenders

In this part of my 2024 Canadian Grand Prix betting preview, I’m going to analyze the chances of Verstappen’s two biggest rivals for the No. 1 spot on the podium. The drivers in question are Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, each of whom is given the Canadian GP odds of under +1000.

Charles Leclerc (+450)

The Ferrari driver is probably buzzing after winning the race in his hometown of Monaco two weekends ago. It was his first Formula One win since July 10, 2022.

You can think of the Monaco GP win as a culmination of a brilliant run in the 2024 F1 season. He finished in the top four positions in each race before that.

For all these reasons, Leclerc looks like a very good bet. If you wanna play it safe, you can bet that Leclerc will finish on the podium at -275 at BetUS. If you feel lucky, you can back him to win at +500.

Lando Norris (+650)

Lando Norris just loves racing in North America. A month ago, he won his first-ever Formula 1 race – the Miami GP. Now, he’s the No. 3 driver on the list of the top favorites to win the 2024 Canada GP.

The 24-year-old keeps impressing and it seems it’s only a matter of time before he wins his second F1 race. Will it be this coming weekend? If you think so, you can back him at +650 at BetUS.

Top 2024 Canadian GP Value Bets

Lewis Hamilton is tied with Michael Schumacher for the most wins at the Canadian Grand Prix with seven triumphs. The Englishman has a chance to break this record on Sunday, June 9. The good news is that he likes this race, but the bad news is that he hasn’t won it since 2019.

He did come relatively close in the last two races in Canada, finishing in third and fourth spot. Another veteran who did very well in those races is Fernando Alonso.

In fact, the Spaniard finished second each time, which is why it’s kind of surprising that BetUS’s oddsmakers are offering +25000 on this guy winning in Montreal. And let’s not forget that he won this race in 2006.

That said, even though he’s not my top Canadian GP pick, I do recommend going to a sports betting site and putting at least a couple of dollars on this guy. Even a $1 bet would bring a nice profit your way – you’d get $250 back if he ended up winning.

2024 Canadian Grand Prix Prediction

You can call me a Verstappen apologist, but I can find a reason why he’s not to blame for not winning the Monaco GP. This is a race where it’s almost impossible to overtake in, so the car in the lead has all the advantage.

In Miami, Verstappen had a lead throughout the race but unfortunately hit a safety bollard, damaging his RB20 in the process. I also have an explanation for why he didn’t win the Australian GP – his car broke down.

I just can’t see anything similar happening at the 2024 Canadian GP. Verstappen and his team will take this event super seriously, which can only mean one thing – he will win.
