Oleksandr Usyk is the betting favorite at practically all sports betting sites. No surprise there – after all, he’s already defeated Tyson Fury once.

Why Usyk is Favored to Beat Fury in Rematch

Actually, judging by the social media posts, he’s been working hard to prepare for the bout. He does look heavy, but the big belly has never been a problem for him. He’s always been fast and agile inside the ring, even when he was weighing close to 300 pounds.
Believe it or not, even though he doesn’t look capable of doing it, this guy’s been running 10K races in under 55 minutes. Last year, Tyson finished a 10-kilometer race in 52:17 minutes, just 47 seconds slower than his much fitter younger half-brother, Tommy Fury.

Tyson Fury is my favorite bet, especially because his odds are +135 at BetOnline. Sure, I understand that Oleksandr Usyk is a hell of a fighter, which is why I don’t claim this is the safest bet ever.
However, there are some very safe bets on the Fury vs. Usyk 2 undercard. The first of those is Johnny Fisher, who’s one of the most interesting characters in boxing.
The son of social media sensation “Big John,” Johnny “The Romford Bull” is a history graduate who did his dissertation on the aerial bombing in World War II. He’s interesting outside the ring but also inside of it – this guy is 12-0 with 11 wins by knockout.
Fisher is a former sparring partner of many elite heavyweights, including Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois. Another of his former sparring partners is Dave Allen, who he’ll face on December 21. He knows him, and he knows how to beat him.
Unfortunately, bookmakers know this as well, which is why they’re giving -1500 odds on Fisher. However, there’s a solution to this – put Fisher together with Moses Itauma in a parlay, and you’ll get better odds.
Itauma is very, very likely to win as well. Despite being just 19 years of age, he’s already a WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight champ, and he’s got no intention of losing the belt.
Upset Picks for the Fury vs. Usyk 2 Fight Card
With +135 odds, Tyson Fury can be considered an upset pick. I’ve already explained why I suspect he might win on December 21. Now, it’s time to explain why I think Serhii Bohachuk can upset the odds as well.
Bohachuk is a former WBC light middleweight champ who lost his belt last August when Vergil Ortiz Jr. beat him by a majority decision. The Ukrainian did well in that fight and has every right to feel optimistic about his chances against Israil Madrimov.
BetOnline’s oddsmakers, however, think differently. They see Bohachuk as a +185 underdog. But you should know that this guy is coached by Manny Robles, whose former protégé, Andy Ruiz Jr., was responsible for one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.

All my other picks come with minus-money odds. I’m almost certain Johnny Fisher will win, and the same goes for Moses Itauma. Each of them is priced at -1500 at BetOnline, meaning that bookies agree with me.
When it comes to the Dennis McCann vs. Peter McGrail bout, it’s 50-50 really, but I’m gonna go with McCann. The reason? Even though he’s five years younger than McGrail, he’s got more experience fighting at an elite level.
