Latest UFC 312 Odds & Picks
SportsBetting.ag and many other sports betting sites have released the UFC 312 odds for Dricus du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland 2 and other fights scheduled for Saturday, February 8. Based on the betting odds, this is going to be a very interesting PPV event, especially for bettors.
Odds for UFC 312
Fighter A | Odds | Fighter B | Odds |
---|---|---|---|
Dricus du Plessis | -205 | Sean Strickland | +175 |
Zhang Weili | +108 | Tatiana Suarez | -128 |
Justin Tafa | +133 | Tallison Teixeira | -133 |
Jimmy Crute | +145 | Rodolfo Bellato | -170 |
Jack Jenkins | +190 | Gabriel Santos | -225 |
Tom Nolan | +116 | Viacheslav Borshchev | -136 |
Kevin Jousset | -215 | Jonathan Micallef | +187 |
Anshul Jubli | +450 | Quillan Salkilld | -570 |
Wang Cong | -450 | Bruna Brasil | +350 |
As you can see, the UFC 312 odds are pretty good for almost any bet available. The biggest favorite is Quillan Salkilld at -570, whose odds moved from -250 since the betting markets opened. If that’s too short for your taste, worry not as all the other fighters have much shorter odds.
Plus, SportsBetting.ag and other online sportsbooks are giving great value on underdogs like Sean Strickland and Justin Tafa, who, in my opinion, shouldn’t be underestimated.
SportsBetting.ag is probably your best sportsbook for UFC 312 odds, but that’s not the only reason. This betting site is also great for sports bonuses, starting with the 50% first deposit bonus.
Then, there’s the UFC Last Minute KO Insurance. How this promo works is that if your fighter gets KO-ed in the final 60 seconds, you don’t lose the bet but get the money back instead. This can be very useful for UFC 312 where I expect to see some fighters get put to sleep.
Dricus du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland 2 Preview
Sean Strickland (26-6) is a former UFC Middleweight champ who lost the belt to Dricus du Plessis (22-2) a year ago. The South African fighter won the fight, but it was very close – he won by split decision.
Du Plessis won that fight thanks to superior wrestling, but when it came to striking, Strickland did better. That’s no surprise as this guy is the fighter with the second-highest average number of significant strikes in the middleweight division with 6.01.
Guess who’s currently at the top of the list? Du Plessis. He’s landing 6.18 significant strikes a minute, but what’s really interesting is that striking isn’t his most lethal weapon.
Instead, this guy is famous for his ability to put the opponent to submission – 50% of his wins happened this way. This includes the win over Israel Adesanya last August in Australia.
What’s interesting is that he failed to beat Strickland by submission, even though he made six takedowns in that fight.
You can bet that he will try to do it this time as well, but I’m not 100% confident he will succeed. In fact, I think Strickland will give him real war and the fight will last until the final bell.
So, who do I predict will win after 25 minutes of fighting? My pick is Strickland.
Best Bets for UFC 312
Tatiana Suarez is a real warrior both inside the cage and in real life. I mean, Suarez beat cancer 13 years ago and has since had an incredible MMA career, with a 10-0 record.
Her forte is wrestling and grappling, but she’s also a pretty decent boxer, famous for her ability to dodge opponents’ strikes.
So far, she’s defeated some real elite opponents, including three former champions – Alexa Grasso, Carla Esparza, and Jessica Andrade. Can she beat another champ? I think she can!
I also think Quillan Salkilld will destroy India’s best UFC fighter, Anshul Jubli. The Aussie is a well-rounded fighter with incredible power who’ll be going for a KO win on February 8.
Given that Jubli got flattened in his most recent fight, I think he’s not ready for such a talented opponent as Salkilld.
Top UFC 312 Upset Picks
I’ve already explained why I suspect Strickland might get his revenge for the controversial loss from a year ago. Now, it’s time to show you my second upset pick. It’s Justin Tafa who’s a +113 underdog against Tallison Teixeira.
Tafa is a hell of a striker with a knockout-to-win ratio of 100%. His opponent is still undefeated, but I think that’s because he hasn’t yet fought in the UFC. On the other hand, Teixeira is also very good striking-wise with six of his seven wins happening by KO/TKO.
This is why, if you’re going to bet on Tafa, you should do it at SportsBetting.ag – if he gets KO-ed in the closing moments of the fight, you will get your money back.
UFC 312 Card Predictions
- Sean Strickland to Beat Dricus du Plessis
- Tatiana Suarez to Beat Zhang Weili
- Justin Tafa to Beat Tallison Teixeira
- Rodolfo Bellato to Beat Jimmy Crute
- Gabriel Santos to Beat Jack Jenkins
- Viacheslav Borshchev to Beat Tom Nolan
- Kevin Jousset to Beat Jonathan Micallef
- Quillan Salkilld to Beat Anshul Jubli
- Wang Cong to Beat Bruna Brasil
There you have it, my top UFC betting predictions for the February 8 event. As you can see, I predict we will see a couple betting upsets on February 9, although in my opinion, those won’t be big surprises.
Strickland, for example, came very close to beating du Plessis last year, which is why I wouldn’t be surprised if he got a win this time around. I also think Tafa has the power in his fists to destroy Teixeria.
In other fights, however, I think favorites will win. Wang Cong, Quillan Salkilld, Gabriel Santos – they should all win easily.
On top of everything, I also think Tatiana Suarez will win. In fact, priced at -128, she’s my favorite UFC 312 bet.
Betting On UFC 312
This PPV event is on the program this coming Saturday, so now is the right time to place your bets. My advice is to do it at SportsBetting.ag as this site offers great odds, as well as awesome sports bonuses like the UFC Last Minute KO Insurance.
My favorite bet is Tatiana Suarez at -128, but feel free to back some underdogs as well. Betting surprises do happen in PPV events.
For example, in my UFC 311 preview, I predicted that +275 underdog Merab Dvalishvili was going to win. Guess what? He did! I expect the same from Sean Strickland (+175) and Justin Tafa (+113).
