This guide highlights the odds for the top contenders in season 37 of The Amazing Race. I will analyze the top contenders, discuss my favorite sleeper, and reveal my prediction for The Amazing Race 2025.

Top entertainment betting sites list Cason McCalley and Jack Dodge, a pair of gamers from Brooklyn, New York, as the +200 favorites to win season 37 of The Amazing Race. The pair of Brett Hamby and Mark Romain, a married couple who perform in LAs Vegas, are a distant second at +700. 

There is a six-way tie for third place at 8-1 odds, and the pair of Jackye Clayton and Lauren McKinney round out the top nine at 10-1. The remaining five teams are tied for the 10th-best odds at 12-1 each. 

Why Are Cason McCalley and Jack Dodge Favored to Win in 2025?

Season 37 of The Amazing Race features 14 teams, the most ever for a single season. Of all the 14 teams participating this season, the duo of Cason McCalley and Jack Dodge are the betting favorites at +200. 

McCalley and Dodge are best friends from Brooklyn, NY. They are gamers, which could give them an advantage in the mental challenges and puzzles during the season. 

Like Survivor and other reality competitions, strategy is also an important part of winning The Amazing Race. As gamers, McCalley and Dodge could have the edge over other teams when it comes to working together and creating or adjusting strategies mid-race. 

They are also both in their late 20s, so, in theory, they are in their physical prime. The last three winning teams have all consisted of players aged 34 or younger. 

Based on their Amazing Race season 37 cast reveal photo, McCalley and Dodge appear to be in good physical shape. However, I would still be hesitant to wager on the gamers until I see how they perform in the physical challenges of the race.

Top The Amazing Race Contender

Of the 14 teams for this season, 11 are listed at either 8-1 or 12-1 odds to win The Amazing Race season 37. Figuring out which team to bet on can be challenging as a result. However, it also creates a lot of value for teams that are undervalued. 

My top contenders, other than the favorites, are Jeff “Pops” Bailey and Jeff Bailey. This father-son duo is one of the six teams tied for the third-best odds at 8-1. 

The Baileys are lumberjacks from St. Louis, Missouri, and are in tremendous physical shape. If they can hold their own in the mental aspects of the games, the Baileys should make a deep run this season. 

My biggest concern is Pops’ age; the elder Bailey was 64 years old at the start of the show. Only two of the last 10 winning teams have had a player aged 40 or older. Dave O’Leary, who was 59 when he and his son Connor Amazing Race All-Stars, is currently the oldest player to win The Amazing Race. 

Best The Amazing Race Sleeper Pick

Locking in a dark horse early is a great entertainment betting tip. With five of the 14 teams tied at 12-1 odds, there are a lot of sleeper picks available. Mark Crawford and Larry Graham, for instance, are retired firefighters who have had years to build their team chemistry. 

Crawford and Graham are a good pick, but I like the team of Scott and Lori Thompson better. Lori is a stay-at-home mom, and Scott is a physician’s assistant. 

The Thompsons are both at least a decade younger than the former firefighters. As parents of eight children, the couple from Utah also have plenty of experience dealing with a variety of unique challenges. 

All of the Thompson’s children were boys, too, so they are no strangers to dealing with chaos. If they can translate their parenting skills to the challenges in the game, the Thompsons should make a deeper-than-expected run. 

2025 The Amazing Race Prediction

A pair of gamers are the favorite in the latest The Amazing Race odds for season 37. McCalley and Dodge are listed at 2-1 odds to win, but I think the father-son team of Pops and Jeff Bailey (+800) is the best bet to win this year. The Bailey’s physical condition will serve them well as the race goes on.
