Alvaro Bautista’s 2022 World SBK odds have been shrinking faster than the size of a chocolate bar in an economic crisis.

Fans will know why. The Spanish legend has been tearing it up for Ducati this season following two less happy years spent at Honda. The 16-year veteran is enjoying a 56-point lead over defending champion Toprak Razgatlioglu and is seemingly the man to beat.

Jonathan Rea still has a mathematical chance of clinching the title. But is it all a done deal? Should I just spare you the details and reveal my 2022 World SBK prediction right now?

Of course, not. Never say never in racing. If you’re keen to get some bets down on the title’s winner, let’s start with where to bet on the Superbike World Championship.

Odds to Win the 2022 Superbike World Championship

Alvaro Bautista-2500
Toprak Razgatlioglu+1200
Jonathan Rea+5000

I’ve taken the 2022 World Superbikes odds above from the Betway sportsbook.

What can I say about these prices? A good starting point would be that Bautista is miles ahead of the pack. The Ducati rider has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign so far, with 448 points heading to the Circuito San Juan Villicum for event number ten of the season.

The 2022 World SBK odds strongly suggest the Spaniard will win. But reigning world champion Razgatlioglu has not given up yet.

Turkey’s star man is priced at +1200 to eclipse Bautista and secure what now looks like a lost championship. Again, you can never discount surprises popping up when you least expect them to.

That said, it would take a brave man to make Jonathan Rea their 2022 World SBK pick. The Brit comes in at +5000 to eclipse the two men above him. Although he is just 36 points behind Razgatlioglu on 366, it would take something truly special to catch up with Bautista.

Whatever your 2022 World SBK prediction is, you’ll find odds for all three scenarios at Betway.

Alvaro Bautista Isn’t Even Worth a Bet

If Bautista isn’t thinking of the title, at least I am.

Getting back on a Ducati has turned out to be the right move for the Spanish rider. With his five wins and three second-place finishes, he has improved his overall record to 27 victories and 48 podiums from 109 starts.

Remember, Bautista has never won the title. He has a 125cc World Championship under his belt, but this would be a maiden championship win in this category.

Aside from a couple of hiccups here and there, he’s been tremendous. His latest 2022 World SBK odds are a testament to that.

With Argentina, Indonesia, and Australia set to decide on this championship, Bautista knows the job at hand. There has been no one better than him thus far. The question is, can he maintain this form when it matters most?

To win a $100 bet on Bautista, you’ll need to put down $2500. That’s not great value, even if he looks a very good thing indeed.

Should You Bet Against Bautista?

From Barcelona to Portimao, the native of Toledo has looked unstoppable.

So much that betting against the World Superbikes betting odds for Bautista is essentially wagering on the uncertain. In other words, the only thing that can stop Alvaro is himself.

Portugal showed that the gap between the top two riders is very thin. Bautista denied Razgatlioglu a treble win, again cementing himself as the most exciting name in the tournament.

He has the best bike and technical team in the world, making his life much easier.

I always try to clarify that it’s not over until the wheels have stopped. Yet, as difficult as it is to admit, there’s no point looking elsewhere with big money.

Does that mean you shouldn’t bet at all? Let’s look into your options.

Could We See an Upset at the 2022 World SBK?

As I see things, it’s not so much a question of who will win the Superbike World Championship but when Bautista will triumph.

Yet somehow, I am still looking at the 2022 World Superbikes odds with curiosity. Rea is out of reckoning; let’s make that part clear. But Toprak Razgatlioglu might be worth a wager of five dollars or below at +1200.

Don’t go betting anything over that unless you see or know something I don’t.

The Turk still has a little time to shine in this championship. However, he will need absolute precision and a nice dollop of good fortune to defend his title.

A 2nd place finish is far more realistic than the first. But those odds are worth a few dollars. If he has a successful weekend in Argentina, +1200 will not be on the board on Monday.

There’s a chance he can upset Bautista. A moderate one, sure, but that’s why the bookies offer such fat odds.

Who Will Win the Superbike World Championship in 2022?

The 2022 World SBK odds have not been pulled out of a hat by a punch-drunk shepherd.

On the contrary, they accurately represent the chances a certain Bautista has of winning the SBK in 2022. As you can see, he’s nailed on to be coronated in Australia this November.

At these odds, I can’t see many gamblers taking the plunge.

Admittedly, the 2022 Superbike World Championship odds to win are slim.

That is if you are backing Bautista. But rather than take the path of the contrarian and back someone else, why not bet on the remaining races? Perhaps there is more value that way than betting against the prime candidate for the title.
