  • Teams like the Buffalo Bills (+135) and New Orleans Saints (+120) are early favorites.
  • My best bets include the Chiefs, 49ers, and Titans to win each of their divisions.

We are less than two months away from the start of the 2023 NFL season. There’s a lot to be excited about this year as each team gears up for a run at the Super Bowl.

If you can’t wait for the season to begin, one of the best ways to help pass the time is to bet on NFL futures.

There are a lot of great betting markets that you can place your wagers on, such as the Super Bowl winner, MVP, win totals, and more. The Division winners are among my favorite things to bet on each year.

The 2023 NFL Division odds are already live on the best sports betting sites, so I’ll break them down and offer my best bets below.

Current 2023 NFL Division Odds

A quick glance at the NFL Division betting odds will tell you that we are in for an exciting season. There aren’t any overwhelming favorites this year, which means 2023 should be very competitive.

Let’s look at the 2023 NFL Division winner odds from BetUS to see who stands out.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills+135
New York Jets+225
Miami Dolphins+300
New England Patriots+750

We are starting off hot with one of the league’s best divisions in the AFC East. All four teams have a shot at the title this year.

Buffalo is the early favorite at +135, closely followed by the New York Jets (+225) and Miami Dolphins (+300).

New England dominated the division for nearly two decades, but it’s been all Buffalo in the last three. Josh Allen and the Bills will remain a top threat all season long as they chase their first Super Bowl in franchise history.

The Jets made a big trade with the Packers to acquire quarterback Aaron Rodgers. They have a phenomenal defense, so it’s just a matter of if Rodgers can take their offense to a new level.

Miami has a very underrated roster, and in addition to being equipped to win the AFC East, they’re also one of the best 2023 NFL win total bets with an over/under set at 9.5.

With 10+ wins on the horizon, they’re a solid bet to win this division. If you agree, consider betting on them at BetUS.

NFC East

Philadelphia Eagles-105
Dallas Cowboys+175
New York Giants+650
Washington Commanders+1000

The Philadelphia Eagles were dominant in 2022 and went all the way to the Super Bowl. They tied the Chiefs for the best record in the NFL at 14-3 and will be looking to repeat their success this season.

Philadelphia still has a loaded roster on both sides of the football. Jalen Hurts emerged as a superstar QB and will be looking to lead his team to the Super Bowl again in hopes of winning it this time around.

The 2023 NFL Division winner odds have the Dallas Cowboys not too far behind the Eagles at +175. They also have a star-filled roster and will be looking to win their 25th division crown in franchise history.

This division hasn’t had a repeat champion since 2006, which is the longest stretch in the NFL. Could this mean the Cowboys are poised to get their revenge on the Eagles?

Or will the Commanders or Giants surprise us all?

AFC North

Cincinnati Bengals+125
Baltimore Ravens+250
Cleveland Browns+375
Pittsburgh Steelers+525

Cincinnati is favored to win the AFC North this year, which would be their third win in a row. Joe Burrow leads an incredible roster after a solid 12-4 season. They’ll be a top Super Bowl contender this year, and a division title comes hand-in-hand.

Baltimore will try and prevent that from happening. The Ravens went 10-7 last season and will remain within striking distance of the Bengals in 2023. Lamar Jackson’s contract issues were resolved when the Ravens signed him to a five year, $260 million deal.

Cleveland will look to improve after finishing in last place last year. Deshaun Watson struggled after returning from his long suspension, so a full offseason should mean improvement is in store.

If the Steelers want any shot at the AFC North in 2023, Kenny Pickett will have to go from a promising rookie to the franchise guy.

NFC North

Detroit Lions+135
Minnesota Vikings+300
Chicago Bears+350
Green Bay Packers+400

The last four winners of the NFC North have won 13 games. Minnesota did it in 2023, while Green Bay did the same the three years prior. Interestingly enough, the Vikings also won 13 games in 2017.

So, will the next NFC North winner reach that total again in 2023? Detroit is the current favorite to win, but the three other teams aren’t too far behind, either.

Detroit hasn’t won the division since 1993, but they are coming off a promising season. After starting the year with a record of 1-6, the Lions won eight of their final ten games.

Can they carry their momentum into 2023?

Green Bay will look forward to the future without Aaron Rodgers, while the Bears hope for an improved year after finishing with the worst record in the NFL.

AFC South

Jacksonville Jaguars-160
Tennessee Titans+330
Indianapolis Colts+550
Houston Texans+725

The AFC South was one of the more lackluster divisions in the league in 2022. Jacksonville took the crown, and they only needed to go 9-8 to do so. Trevor Lawrence showed a lot of promise last season and will look to enter the “superstar QB” discussion this year.

Indianapolis and Houston are both in the midst of a rebuild, which makes it easier on the Jaguars. Their only competition will be the Tennessee Titans, who just landed wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

It will be interesting to see how the quarterback situation plays out for the Titans. Jacksonville has a leg up on them for this reason.

Both the Colts and Texans drafted quarterbacks earlier in the 2023 NFL Draft. Anthony Richardson and C.J. Stroud will look to establish themselves as the new faces of their franchises.

NFC South

New Orleans Saints+120
Atlanta Falcons+240
Carolina Panthers+325
Tampa Bay Buccaneers+750

The NFC South is also coming off a horrible season. Tom Brady’s last year with the Buccaneers didn’t go as planned, but they still won the division after going 8-9.

All the other teams in the division went 7-10, so at least they made it slightly interesting. New Orleans is the current favorite to win at +120.

We knew their defense was capable, but their offense should improve after they signed Derek Carr.

Atlanta drafted Bijan Robinson in the first round, which gives them three young superstars in their offense. Kyle Pitts and Drake London will help Desmond Ridder out in 2023.

The Panthers and Buccaneers have solid overall rosters, but their quarterback positions are unreliable.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs-155
Los Angeles Chargers+325
Denver Broncos+450
Las Vegas Raiders+1200

Anyone could have told you that the Chiefs would have the best NFL odds to win their division in 2023. They’ve established themselves as the current NFL dynasty after securing their second Super Bowl win in four years.

The real question is, will Kansas City suffer from a Super Bowl hangover? Eric Bieniemy left to be the offensive coordinator for Washington, but Patrick Mahomes should continue to lead the best offense in the NFL.

Los Angeles is a very promising team with Justin Herbert and company. They were able to sign Kellen Moore to be their OC, so I expect their offense to be right behind Kansas City’s.

Sean Payton will try to fix Russell Wilson, while Las Vegas has little to look forward to in 2023.

NFC West

San Francisco 49ers-175
Seattle Seahawks+210
Los Angeles Rams+850
Arizona Cardinals+2500

Last but not least, we have the NFC West. If you look at all the favorites to win NFL Divisions in 2023, you’ll find that the San Francisco 49ers have the best odds. They are -175 favorites to win the NFC West, which isn’t a major surprise.

Arizona has a brand-new coaching staff, and Kyler Murray is coming off a major injury. All signs point to a slow start, which leaves just two other teams to challenge the 49ers.

The team with the second-best chance of winning the division is the Seattle Seahawks. Geno Smith has been reborn, and the Seahawks couldn’t be happier.

Matthew Stafford’s injury devastated the Rams. They seem closer to a rebuild than another run at the Super Bowl.

As for the 49ers, they have one of the best rosters in the NFL. There are questions about the quarterback position, but Kyle Shanahan’s QB-friendly scheme helps out tremendously.

Top 2023 NFL Division Winner Picks

It’s a good idea to shop around for the best available prices when making your 2023 NFL Division picks. Above are three of my favorite bets for this year as well as the sites that have the best prices.

Two of these are relatively safe picks, that being the Chiefs and 49ers, to win their divisions.

Kansas City is coming off a Super Bowl win, and if we learned anything last year, it’s to never doubt the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes will continue to shred defenses in 2023, and they should cruise their way to their eighth consecutive division title.

I do think the Chargers are an interesting sleeper pick, and Sean Payton should make Denver competitive again. The Chiefs face the challenge of a Super Bowl hangover, but I still think they should continue their dominance in the AFC West.

Heading over to the NFC side, San Francisco is poised for another great year. Their quarterback room is still a question mark, but one of them has got to figure it out, right? The 49ers’ defense should continue to be lockdown while their superstar playmakers put up tons of points on offense.

Seattle should make things interesting, and maybe the Rams get back into shape, but I’m not counting on it.

Those are two of my safer picks to win the 2023 NFL Divisions, so how about we throw in a sleeper team?

One team I like this year is the Tennessee Titans. Mike Vrabel’s squad is coming off a disappointing 7-10 season, but it’s not like Jacksonville blew them out of the water.

The Jaguars’ defense ranked 14th in points allowed, but their DVOA ranking was 26th. They did little in free agency or the draft to improve that side of the ball.

Jacksonville has a very strong offensive unit, and they’ll be a solid team because of it. However, I think Tennessee makes this an interesting race, and their +330 price just seems too good to pass up.

No matter which teams you’re betting on, make sure you use the top football betting sites to get the best possible prices.

2023 NFL Division Predictions

  • Buffalo Bills to Win the AFC East (+135)
  • Philadelphia Eagles to Win the NFC East (-105)
  • Cincinnati Bengals to Win the AFC North (+125)
  • Detroit Lions to Win the NFC North (+135)
  • Tennessee Titans to Win the AFC South (+330)
  • New Orleans Saints to Win the NFC South (+120)
  • Kansas City Chiefs to Win the AFC West (-155)
  • San Francisco 49ers to Win the NFC West (-175)

Here are all my 2023 NFL Division winner predictions and their odds. I already touched on my Chiefs, 49ers, and Titans picks, so I won’t elaborate further.

The AFC East will be incredibly competitive this year, making it very difficult to pick a winner. Buffalo will be my pick, but New York or Miami has a lot of value.

Dalton Kincaid gives Josh Allen another weapon in the offense, and Von Miller should be back to full strength. I fully support betting on the Jets or Dolphins, but the Bills simply have the best chance to win, and +135 odds are good enough for me.

Dallas and Philadelphia will be the two top teams in the NFC East. I think the loss of Kellen Moore is significant for Dallas, and Philadelphia still has a remarkable roster, so I’ll take the Eagles.

Baltimore should be in for a solid season, but how could you confidently bet against the Bengals? The loss of Jessie Bates III in the secondary will hurt, but they should remain a top unit led by Lou Anarumo.

Minnesota is a great value bet to win the NFC North again, but I’ll be betting on the Lions instead.

Detroit’s offense should be in for another respectable season, while their defense should be better in 2023 as well.

Derek Carr gives the Saints some stability at quarterback, something they’ve lacked since Drew Brees retired. They also have a great defense, and every team in the NFC South has issues. Atlanta is another great pick, but my money is on the Saints.

Betting on NFL Division Winners in 2023

We are closing in on the start of the NFL season, and if you’re anything like me, you couldn’t be more excited. The hunt for the Super Bowl will start on September 7th, but before that, each team will be aiming to win their division.

My top two picks to win their division this year are the San Francisco 49ers (-170) and Kansas City Chiefs (-155).

Both teams are incredibly talented, and their 2023 NFL Division odds are respectable.

My favorite longshot bet to win their division is the Tennessee Titans (+330), but I also like the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and Atlanta Falcons.

These three teams have +240 odds and above, which would make for quite the payout.
