Odds and Picks for the 2023 US Open – Bet on Novak Djokovic and More
- Carlos Alcaraz (+120) and Novak Djokovic (+150) are the top favorites to win the 2023 US Open.
- Each of the last five Grand Slam tournaments saw either Alcaraz or Djokovic reach the final.
- Iga Swiatek has 2023 US Open odds of +225 and is the defending champion of Women’s Singles.
The betting odds for the 2023 US Open suggest the Carlos Alcaraz-Novak Djokovic rivalry will reach a boiling point at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
The two occupy the top two spots in the ATP Rankings and are seen as the top two favorites for listing the trophy on September 10.
When it comes to the women’s singles tournament, it’s almost as equally exciting. Iga Swiatek is favored to win again, but there are several players whose 2023 US Open odds suggest they might ruin the plans of the reigning champ.
Let’s further examine the betting odds for the tournament below.
Odds to Win the 2023 US Open
The US Open is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments (a.k.a. majors), so you shouldn’t be surprised that most sports betting sites have already published their 2023 US Open odds.
In the next section, I will examine the odds, starting with those for the Men’s Singles tournament.
Men’s Singles Championship Odds
Player | Odds |
Carlos Alcaraz | +120 |
Novak Djokovic | +150 |
Daniil Medvedev | +450 |
Jannik Sinner | +1100 |
Stefanos Tsitsipas | +1600 |
Holger Rune | +1600 |
Casper Ruud | +1800 |
Alexandr Zverev | +2200 |
Matteo Berrettini | +2500 |
Felix Auger Aliassime | +3300 |
Frances Tiafoe | +3300 |
Taylor Fritz | +3300 |
The 2023 US Open betting odds you see in the table above are from BetUS. I used this sportsbook because I like the prices it’s giving for the top two favorites – Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.
I’m almost 100% positive that one of them will win the title on September 10. Daniil Medvedev is seen as someone who could sneak his way to the trophy if one of them fails, but I don’t think that’s likely to happen. Nevertheless, his odds of +450 do look tempting.
I also like the odds of Casper Ruud, last year’s runner-up, who’s priced at +1800 to win the 2023 tournament.
If you liked the price of these 2023 US Open odds, then head to BetUS.
Women’s Singles Championship Odds
Player | Odds |
Iga Swiatek | +225 |
Aryna Sabalenka | +400 |
Elena Rybakina | +550 |
Jessica Pegula | +1000 |
Ons Jabeur | +1200 |
Coco Gauff | +1300 |
Caroline Garcia | +1600 |
Belinda Bencic | +3300 |
Madison Keys | +4000 |
Barbora Krejcikova | +4000 |
Petra Kvitova | +4000 |
Maria Sakkari | +5000 |
Veronika Kudermetova | +5000 |
I think Iga Swiatek is the best female tennis player in the world in 2023. That’s why I used the sportsbook that gives the Polish player the best value. The betting site in question is BetOnline, where Swiatek is given the 2023 US Open odds of +225.
What’s great is that all her main rivals are also given attractive prices. Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina are another two players with odds shorter than +1000.
Then there’s Jessica Pegula, the player who defeated Swiatek at WTA Montreal in mid-August, whose odds are +1000 at the moment.

Top US Open Contenders to Bet On
- Carlos Alcaraz (+120)
- Iga Swiatek (+225)
- Novak Djokovic (+150)
- Aryna Sabalenka (+400)
Novak Djokovic is the tennis GOAT, and the only player who can take that title away from him in the foreseeable future is Carlos Alcaraz.
In 2023, these are the best players on the planet, so if one of them didn’t win the US Open, it would be a major upset.
These two met in the final of the 2023 Wimbledon, while at least one of them played in the final of each of the last five Grand Slams.
Knowing that they’re the two top seeds, the earliest Alcaraz and Djokovic can meet is in the final. That said, putting some money on each player could be the right move. If you put $500 on each player, you can profit either $100 or $250 if they both reach the final.
Over in the Women’s Singles Championship, Iga Swiatek looks set to defend her title, with Aryna Sabalenka seen as her main rival. Swiatek is priced at +225 at BetUS, but if you want to back Sabalenka or some of her other rivals, sportsbooks like MyBookie and Xbet would be a better option.
Sabalenka, for example, is given +440 odds at MyBookie right now.
Best 2023 US Open Sleepers
- Casper Ruud (+1800)
- Elena Rybakina (+3300)
If you’re after big betting value, backing Casper Ruud might not be a bad idea. He finished second in the US Open last year, losing to Alcaraz in the final after a 200-minute war on the court.
Since then, his biggest achievement is reaching the final of the 2023 French Open, where he lost to Djokovic.
Has the time finally come for the Norwegian to win his first-ever Grand Slam? His 2023 US Open odds suggest otherwise, but +1800 sure looks good enough for a small bet.
The same goes for Elena Rybakina. She has been struggling with an injury, which is why you can’t find her odds at many online sportsbooks. However, Everygame offers +3300 on her, which I think is a great value.
Elena Rybakina pushed herself to do some incredible things this week.

She saved match point in a 3.5 hour match that lasted til 3 a.m.
She’s tied with Swiatek for 2nd most hard court wins this season.

The reason is that she’s been a real giant slayer in 2023, the evidence being that she was the one to knock Iga Swiatek out of Wimbledon earlier this summer.
Speaking of Rybakina, you might want to consider betting on her once the tournament starts. If she ends up playing against players from Russia or Belarus, she’s bound to shine. In her last 10 matches, she played three times against players from those countries – Victoria Azarenka (twice) and Daria Kasatkina – winning each time.
That said, if she gets to play against one of them, my advice is to head to the best sites for live sports betting and back the Ukrainian.
2023 US Open Props to Look Out For
At the moment of writing, no 2023 US Open props have been released by online sportsbooks.
However, history teaches us that bookmakers like BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag do publish the odds for such bets just before the beginning of the tournament.
- Men’s Singles Tournament to Be Won w/o Dropping a Set – My prediction for this prop is no. It’s because only five players have ever won a Grand Slam tournament without losing a single set, but it has never happened at the US Open.
- Unseeded Finalist in Men’s Singles – Another interesting US Open prop would be “Unseeded Finalist.” I remember seeing this bet at BetOnline for the 2023 French Open, with the odds being somewhere in the ballpark of -500. If the same is going to be the case for the American Grand Slam, you can be sure I’ll be putting my money on “No.”
You won’t find these 2023 US Open prop bets just yet. Heck, they may never exist. However, they are props I wouldn’t be shocked to see, and I’d be pretty excited to bet on.
For your own benefit, keep an eye out for other US Open props and use my betting guide to place some bets.
2023 US Open Winner Predictions
- Novak Djokovic (+150)
- Iga Swiatek (+225)
Novak Djokovic isn’t the player with the shortest 2023 US Open odds, but I think he will win. He’s the best player in the world whose career is slowly coming to an end.
The Serbian superstar won’t get too many chances to add a few more trophies to his collection, which is why he’s going to take this tournament very seriously.
Plus, he wants to put on a show for the crowd in New York as they haven’t seen much from him since 2018, when he won the US Open the last time.
He retired from the 2019 tournament due to an injury, while a year later, he got disqualified for hitting a lineswoman in the throat.
He came back in 2021, going all the way to the final, where he lost 3-2 to Daniil Medvedev.
In 2023, he’s allowed to come to the United States, and I think he will do well. Personally, I’m going to back him to win his first US Open in five years.
Over in the women’s tournament, it’s all about Iga Swiatek. She’s a level above all the other female players. Sure, she did lose a couple of matches this year, but overall, it’s been a fine year for the Pole.
So, unless something really unusual happens in America, she should be able to defend the title.
