  • The 2023 World Series of Poker odds are live on the top online betting sites, such as BetUS.
  • Michael “SirWatts” Watson and Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo are among the top favorites to win.
  • Other props exist outside the main event winner, such as the winning hand, winner’s age, and more.

It’s almost time for the biggest poker event of the year. The top poker players worldwide will make their way to the Horseshoe Las Vegas to participate in the 2023 World Series of Poker’s main event.

These players will be putting a ton of money on the line in hopes of winning, which might have you feeling left out. Not to worry, though, as the top betting sites offer the 2023 World Series of Poker odds.

You can bet on the event in several ways and win a nice chunk of money yourself.

If you’re interested in the 2023 World Series of Poker props, head to Bovada or BetUS, as both sites are offering wagers this year.

I’ll be breaking down how to bet, all the available markets, and more in my guide, so let’s get right into it!

Where to Bet on the 2023 WSOP

The 2023 World Series of Poker betting odds aren’t available on just any site. In fact, most sites won’t offer odds in the first place.

If you’re looking for a site with the odds up now, you’ll want to check out Bovada and BetUS as I mentioned.

BetUS is one of the top online gambling sites for many reasons. Not only do they offer the 2023 World Series of Poker odds, but they also have a ton of other unique betting markets.

You’ll find the 2023 WSOP odds in the “entertainment” section on their site, in addition to other fun props.

Bet on movies, TV shows, awards shows, politics, and other markets that aren’t always available on other sites. And yes, they also have a full sportsbook and casino at your disposal.

Not only do you get access to these markets, but you also get one of the best welcome bonuses out of any gambling website. New users at BetUS get a welcome bonus of 125% (up to $3,125) to help get their account started.

There’s a good chance this is your first time betting on the WSOP, so these extra funds will surely come in handy.

Of course, you can also bet on the 2023 WSOP at Bovada. Bovada Casino has a fantastic slots library, and is known as one of the best sportsbooks online.

There are a lot of reasons to go with Bovada, but keep in mind the sites have virtually the same World Series of Poker main event odds.

Because of that, you may want to choose BetUS if you want more WSOP props to bet on. That, or let welcome bonus or other needs dictate where you bet.

Odds to Win the 2023 WSOP Main Event

Michael “SirWatts” Watson+6000
Steve “Mango” O’Dwyer+6000
Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu+6000
Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo+6000
Phil Ivey+6000
Christopher Brewer+8000
Stephen Chidwick+8000
Jason Koon+8000
Ethan “Rampage” Yau+8000
Phil Hellmuth+8000

Here are the 2023 WSOP Main Event odds for the top 10 players. The 2023 WSOP odds list doesn’t end here, either. You can bet on over 100 different players with odds as high as +75000.

Funnily enough, the players in that price range are celebrities, such as Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. It would be quite a shock if either one of them won the whole thing, but you never know.

Espen Jorstad took home the victory in the 2022 WSOP Main Event. He took home the $10 million grand prize and etched his name into the history books.

Some recent champions will be looking to win again as well.

Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu ranks second in all-time WSOP earnings with over $21 million. Over $16 million of that came from his 2013 victory, earning him the honor of being in the Poker Hall of Fame.

Phil Hellmuth has the most WSOP bracelets with 16, so it’s a bit surprising that he’s not one of the main favorites.

Speaking of the main favorites, Michael “SirWatts” Watson, Steve “Mango” O’Dwyerm, Daniel Negreanu, Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, and Phil Ivey all have a price tag of +6000.

Hellmuth’s odds of winning the World Series of Poker are at +8000, which is a step below the top five.

It’s hard to ignore Hellmuth’s price considering his skills. This will be an insanely competitive event, which is why you can get these prices as high as they are.

You could make an argument for just about anyone here, but Hellmuth’s resume, and price makes him my preferred bet.

Other 2023 World Series of Poker Props

Everyone’s odds of winning the 2023 WSOP are insanely profitable, which reflects how difficult it will be to predict the winner.

Luckily, that’s not the only way we can bet on the event. There are several 2023 WSOP prop bets worth betting on at BetUS.

If the 2023 WSOP main event odds are a bit too daring for you, consider betting on these props instead.

Winning Hand for the WSOP Main Event

Two Pair+200
Pair+250
High Card with an Ace+400
High Card of Any Other Kind+400
3 of a Kind+1400
Flush+1400
Full House+5000
4 of a Kind+6000
Straight Flush+10000
Royal Flush+75000

One of the best props you’ll find for the WSOP has to do with the winning hand. There’s a slim chance you predict the winner, but maybe you can predict how they win.

The 2023 World Series of Poker odds for this prop mostly reflect common winning hands. It would be insane for the winning hand to be a Royal Flush, which is why it’s priced at +75000. There’s a 0.000154% chance you get this hand in the first place.

Justin Phillips had a Royal Flush in the 2008 WSOP, but it wasn’t the winning hand.

It’s more likely that the winning hand is one of the more common methods, such as a two pair.

That’s not to say it’s impossible for one of the longshot options to win. In fact, Jorstad won the 2022 WSOP with a full house. You can get +5000 odds for a full house if it’s the winning hand again.

Age of 2023 WSOP Winner

20s+150
30s+160
40s+350
50s+550

You can even find on the 2023 World Series of Poker betting odds for the winner’s age. The props I’ve covered already will be pretty difficult to predict. This one will be a bit easier, with only four options to choose from.

Peter Eastgate (2008) was the youngest WSOP winner ever at the age of 22. The past two winners (Espen Jorstad and Koray Aldemir) were both in their 30s.

If you’re looking to get a better idea of which age group to target, you can look at the odds for the main event. Here’s a look at the top five contenders and their ages:

  • Michael “SirWatts” Watson (39)
  • Steve “Mango” O’Dwyer (41)
  • Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu (48)
  • Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo (37)
  • Phil Ivey (46)

These five players have the most favorable odds of winning the World Series of Poker. As you can see, they are all in their late 30s and 40s. It’s a bit surprising that the “20s” option is the favorite for this prop after noticing this.

They say that with age comes wisdom, so you’d think the odds would be in the reverse order.

For this reason, I’ll place my bets on the “40s” option, which has a great price of +350.

Where Will the Main Event Winner Be From?

Non-US+300
California+500
Texas+500
New York+600
Florida+600
Pennsylvania+800
Illinois+1000
Ohio+1200
Georgia+1400
North Carolina+1400
Michigan+1600

Another way to bet on the WSOP is to bet on where the winner is from. Most of the betting options are states from the US, but the favored option is the “Non-US” option.

You can bet on whichever state you want. Maybe you have state pride and want to cheer for whoever is representing.

If you want to make a more educated guess, then it’s a good idea to know where the top players are from.

Mike Watson is from Newfoundland and Labrador, while Daniel Negreanu is from Canada. Those are two of the top players, which makes sense since the favorite is “Non-US.”

Phil Ivey is from California, which is likely the reason why it’s considered a top state for this prop.

It’ll be difficult to pinpoint a single US state, so I find “Non-US” the most appealing option with a decent price of +300. It also helps that some of the top players are from different countries.

How Many Players Will Start the WSOP Main Event?

Over 9,000.5-135
Under 9,000.5-105

One of the easiest ways to bet on anything is to bet on the over or under. Most of the 2023 World Series of Poker odds are rather complex. It’s not exactly easy to predict the exact winner, their age group, or where they are from.

If you prefer a nice simple prop, I recommend the over or under for how many players will start the main event. The buy-in is set at $10,000, and we’ve seen a high number of entrants in the last few years.

8,663 players entered the 2022 tournament, which was the second-most ever.

The busiest event was the 2006 WSOP, which had a whopping 8,773 entrants.

It’s worth mentioning that the COVID-19 pandemic crushed the number of entrants. Only 1,379 played in 2020, and 6,650 joined in 2021. In 2019, the total number was 8,569, only 94 less than last year’s main event.

Since we aren’t dealing with a global pandemic, the total number of entrants should be above 8,000. The real question is, will they break the record and surpass 9,000?

Gambling as an industry has grown dramatically in the last year. I expect a large number of entrants for this year’s event, so I’ll be taking the over option.

Number of Final Table Players Wearing Headgear

4-6-125
1-3+165
7-10+350

Last but not least, we have the betting odds for the number of final table players wearing headgear.

If you’re a fan of unusual bets, this one is perfect for you. Poker players tend to wear some form of headgear, such as sunglasses or hats.

As you can see from the betting odds, they expect four to six players to be wearing headgear at the final table. That is going to be right around half of the entire table.

The next most-favored option is one to three players, while seven to ten players is the longshot at +350.

Wearing headgear, specifically sunglasses, could be an effective way for players to avoid giving away a tell. You want to maintain as much of a poker face as possible so other players don’t pick up on certain tendencies.

Poker is a card game, as well as a mind game. These are some of the best players in the world, which means you won’t be able to beat them if you are constantly giving away your tells.

Although betting on the number of players wearing headgear isn’t something you’ll find in our complete poker guide, it is something that could be fun to bet on.

I’ll be going with the favored 4-6 players option. It comes at a reasonable price and is right in the sweet spot.

Advice for Betting on the 2023 WSOP

This is shaping up to be a very exciting year for the World Series of Poker. Some of the best players from around the world will clash, but only one will come out on top.

If you’re able to predict who that is, you’d be taking home a large sum of cash yourself.

The 2023 World Series of Poker odds can be found at the top betting sites, such as BetUS. Visit BetUS to make your predictions for the main event, and be sure to check out their other available props as well.

It will be very difficult to predict the exact winner of the main event. There are so many great players to choose from, and they all have to outlast each other. The good news is that the betting odds are very rewarding.

My pick to win is going to be Phil Hellmuth. Hellmuth has +8000 odds to win the 2023 WSOP.

He has the most WSOP bracelets with 16 and close to $17 million in earnings. If all goes well, Hellmuth will further solidify his case as one of the best WSOP players ever.

I also strongly recommend checking out the other prop bets for the event. They are a bit easier to predict and still offer great payouts.
