  • Bovada favors Max Verstappen (-600) to remain the only man ever to win the Miami Grand Prix.
  • Verstappen’s Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Perez is second on the list of the top Miami GP favorites.
  • The two-time Formula One champion Fernando Alonso is hoping for another podium finish.

It’s time for the third edition of the Miami Grand Prix Formula One race. Guess who won the first two? Max Verstappen.

Are we going to see him win it for the third time this coming Sunday at Miami International Autodrome? Based on the 2024 Miami Grand Prix odds, such a scenario is very likely to happen.

But maybe he’ll call in sick that day? Or maybe his car will malfunction as it did a few weeks ago in Australia? Or maybe someone else will take their driving to a whole new level and make Red Bull’s driver eat the dust?

These are all the questions I’ll try to answer here. But first things first, let’s see where to bet on this race and which motorsports betting sites offer the best F1 Miami GP odds.

Odds to Win the 2024 Crypto.com Miami GP

I’ve checked a number of online sportsbooks for the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix betting odds and saw that Bovada is giving the best value.

If you want to see Bovada’s Miami GP odds, you can check them out in the list below.

  • Max Verstappen (-600)
  • Sergio Perez (+1100)
  • Carlos Sainz (+1800)
  • Charles Leclerc (+1800)
  • Lando Norris (+1800)
  • George Russell (+4000)
  • Lewis Hamilton (+4000)
  • Oscar Piastri (+5000)
  • Fernando Alonso (+6600)
  • Lance Stroll (+25000)

All the leading F1 betting sites have already released the odds for the Miami Grand Prix. They all put Max Verstappen in the No. 1 position on the favorites list, but it’s Bovada that’s giving the best value on the Dutchman. He’s priced at -600, while most other bookmakers are giving -700.

The No. 1 reason why I went with Bovada is the lucrative 2024 Miami Grand Prix odds. However, there are several other reasons why I recommend this website for Miami GP betting.

It has great bonuses on the table (e.g., $750 Crypto Welcome Bonus), instant deposits, 24/7 support, etc. If you’d like to learn more about this betting platform, the best thing you can do is give our Bovada review a read.

Why is Max Verstappen the Miami GP Favorite?

Who will win the Miami Grand Prix? It seems that everyone thinks Max Verstappen will do it. He’s priced at -600, which is the shortest odds he’s had this season. In comparison, his odds to win the previous race (Chinese GP) were -550.

Unsurprisingly, the Red Bull Racing driver won that event, which was his fourth win of the 2024 season. In fact, the only race he didn’t win this season was the Australian GP when his car RB20 malfunctioned.

Red Bull has fixed the issue since, the evidence being that Verstappen went on to win the following two races. In both of those events, he had the pole position and dominated the race from the very start.

If you’re still not convinced that you should bet on Verstappen, you should also know that he just loves racing in Miami. The proof of this is that he’s the one who won both previous editions of the Miami GP.

Top 2024 Miami Grand Prix Contenders

You can think of Sergio Perez as the No. 2 driver in the Red Bull Racing hierarchy. He’s meant to be Verstappen’s backup. If the reigning champ fails to win, Perez should save the day. That was the case last season – Perez won two of the three races Verstappen failed to win in 2023.

Who won the third? It was Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz. Not only did he win one race last season, but he also won the 2024 Australian GP. And he’s one of the top contenders to win the race in Miami.

Another reason for this is that he’s got some good memories from Florida. Last season, he finished third in the Miami GP.

There’s also Leclerc, who is just too good of a driver to fully ignore at his +1600 price tag at Bovada. Is he likely to win? Not with Verstappen leading the charge, but if you want some value with a viable threat, he’s a good try.

Speaking of value, Perez is the best pivot away from Verstappen, but his best price isn’t at Bovada. You can still bet on him there if you prefer that book, but you can access +1200 odds (compared to +1100) at BetOnline.

BetOnline is a worthwhile sportsbook, regardless. You can hop on a better price and also take advantage of their 50% welcome bonus (up to $1,000) while you’re at it.

My Favorite Miami GP Sleeper

Fernando Alonso is my top Miami GP sleeper bet. The Spanish driver competing for Aston Martin is priced at +8000 at BetOnline, meaning that a $10 bet will bring $800 your way if he ends up winning on May 5.

But can he win? Although he’s not my top favorite, I do think his odds are much longer than they’re supposed to be. The current odds are just too disrespectful toward the two-time Formula One champ.

The thing is that he’s a great driver who’s coming off a couple of big performances. Two weeks ago, for example, Alonso had the fastest lap in China. He also loves Miami, which is where he finished second last year.

Aiming high isn’t always the best strategy when betting on F1 races, but in this case, it’s worth a shot. Consider taking a stab on Alonso, where a $100 wager could bring you back $8,000.

2024 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix Prediction

Max Verstappen

My Miami Grand Prix prediction is that Max Verstappen is going to win on May 5. The best odds await you at Bovada, where he’s priced at -600.

You might not think of this as particularly great value, but considering how likely the Red Bull superstar is to win, those are pretty decent odds. If you’re looking for more attractive odds, my advice is to bet on Fernando Alonso.

Sure, backing him to win seems too ambitious, but Bovada is offering other F1 markets as well. Fernando Alonso Top 3 Finish, for example, seems like a very good bet, especially given that the odds are +800. And if you’re looking for even better value, maybe check out other races happening in May.

The Indianapolis 500, which is scheduled for the Memorial Weekend, seems like a perfect event for betting given that the biggest favorite is priced at +600.

In case you don’t know whom to back to win the iconic race, you might find my 2024 Indy 500 betting preview helpful.
