Here are the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize odds for the top 10 contenders over at BetUS. Navalny and Zelensky shape up as the best bets this year, and it’d be somewhat shocking if one of them didn’t win.

The top Nobel Prize betting sites have 40 different candidates for you to choose from, but these 10 have the best chance to win.

Technically the nominees are private, so we don’t actually know how accurate the odds list is. That said, these people and organizations have been at the forefront of peace and humanitarian causes. It would be quite a surprise if the eventual 2024 award winner wasn’t one of these 10.

The betting upside makes up for the fact that we don’t know who is nominated to win. You can win a substantial amount of money by betting on almost all of these candidates.

Why is Alexei Navalny the Betting Favorite?

The current 2024 Nobel Peace Prize odds have Alexei Navalny as the favorite to win at -200, but why is that? Navalny was a leader of the Russian opposition, in addition to being the founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation.

He’s been involved with many different activities throughout his political career, including the 2011-2013 Russian protests, 2018 presidential campaign, anti-war protests, and much more.

Navalny was sentenced to nine years in prison for embezzlement and contempt of court in March of 2022. Six months later, he was sentenced to 19 more years for extremism. He went missing from prison for three weeks in December of 2023, and ended up in an Arctic Circle corrective colony.

The Russian prison service said that he had died on February 16th of this year at the age of 47.

His death sparked protests around the world, including Russia. Other world organizations are convinced that Russian authorities are connected to his death, especially since Navalny claimed Vladimir Putin poisoned him in 2020.

In short, Navalny is the favorite to win the Nobel Peace Prize for his fearless efforts against the current Russian government and his determination for peace.

2024 Nobel Peace Prize Contenders

Although Navalny is deserving of winning the Nobel Peace Prize, there’s no guarantee that it will be him. There are tons of other people and organizations around the world that deserve recognition for their efforts to promote global peace.

Two other candidates that also have high chances of winning the award include Volodymyr Zelensky and the World Health Organization.

Volodymyr Zelensky (+400)

Volodymyr Zelensky is another person who is not afraid to stand up against the Russian government. The President of Ukraine has gained worldwide recognition for his relentlessness and heroism for his country.

Despite many brutal attacks, Ukraine has yet to fall to Putin’s armies. Zelensky has also been a target of many unsuccessful assassination attempts. Over 90% of Ukrainians supported his actions, and he won the 2022 Person of the Year award from Time Magazine.

His efforts have been recognized and have inspired many across the globe, making him one of the top contenders to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2024.

If you plan to bet on Volodymyr Zelensky, it makes more sense to do so at BetOnline. His odds to win the Nobel Peace Prize are at +800 on their site, as opposed to +400 at BetUS.

BetUS is the preferred site for betting on the Nobel Peace Prize winner, but it’s hard to pass up odds like that if you want to bet on Zelensky. If you’re interested in that pricing, consider checking out our BetOnline review, or head straight there to bet on Zelensky now!

World Health Organization (+900)

International organizations have won 26 Nobel Peace Prize awards throughout history, dating back to 1901. The World Health Organization has yet to win, but 2024 could be the year it finally does. COVID-19 has killed more than seven million people, and the WHO is committed to ending the pandemic once and for all.

Recently, members of the WHO have begun negotiations for a pandemic treaty, which would put more focus on pandemic prevention around the globe. They want to focus on further prevention, preparedness, and responsiveness to COVID-19 and potential diseases in the future.

This reform is the main reason why the World Health Organization is a top contender to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 2024.

Top Sleeper Pick to Win the Nobel Peace Prize

Although there are tons of different people and organizations who are deserving of the award, there are some that offer significantly more betting upside than others.

The betting odds imply that Alexei Navalny, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the World Health Organization have the highest chance to win, but you also don’t get as much of a return on your investment when betting on them compared to others.

For example, a $100 bet on Navalny would profit $50, but the same wager on Jens Stoltenberg would profit $3,500. Stoltenberg does not have as high of a chance of winning compared to Navalny, but the price difference is noteworthy, to say the least.

The biggest reason why any sleeper bet is appealing is because the list of Nobel Peace Prize nominees is private. We don’t actually know if the top contenders are nominated for this year, which makes it hard to justify betting on them at their prices.

Jens Stoltenberg is a key member of NATO and has been active as of late. He urges alliances to aid Ukraine and said the presidential elections in Russia were “neither free nor fair”.

You can also bet on NATO itself at +2000, but it also makes sense to bet on one of their key members like Stoltenberg.

Who Typically Wins This Award?

We can make more accurate predictions for the Nobel Peace Prize by looking at previous winners. Throughout history, there have been 93 men, 19 women, and 26 organizations to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Last year’s winner was Narges Mohammadi, who was not considered to be a top contender. Before Mohammadi, Ales Bialiatski, Memorial, and the Centre for Civil Liberties won the 2022 award.

If you look at the list of laureates, you’ll notice that a lot of them have been involved in the major events of that year. For example, Narges Mohammadi won the award because of her fight against the oppression of Iranian women.

Memorial and the Centre for Civil Liberties were recognized in 2022 because of their efforts in the Russia-Ukraine war. The war is still ongoing, which is why Alexei Navalny and Volodymyr Zelensky are top contenders.

When placing your bets, think about what is happening around the world and who is leading the cause to promote global peace.

2024 Nobel Peace Prize Prediction

The 2024 Nobel Peace Prize odds are quite intriguing, mostly because of their betting value. You’ll get a lot of bang for your buck if you are able to correctly predict the winner of this year’s award. As we’ve discussed, some potential nominees have better odds than others, but they all deserve recognition for their efforts.

Alexei Navalny is the favorite to win, and deservingly so. However, I find it more appealing to bet on someone with more appealing odds, especially since we don’t know who is actually nominated for this year.

As for my 2024 Nobel Peace Prize prediction, I am going to go with Jens Stoltenberg. He’s one of the key members of NATO and his +3500 odds have a lot of upside. You can place your bets on Stoltenberg or any other person/organization by visiting BetUS.
