Latest 2025 Australian Open Odds & Picks
Australian Open odds for the 2024 tournament are so close, promising plenty of excitement awaits at Melbourne Park from January 11 to January 26, 2025.
Sure, we’re still weeks away from the start of the first Grand Slam tournament of 2025 – the entry list hasn’t even better confirmed. However, that hasn’t stopped oddsmakers from BetOnline releasing the AO2025 odds for as many as 65 male and 55 female players.
Betting Odds for the 2025 Australian Open
The top online tennis betting sites have odds up for the 2025 Australian Open. There are several to choose from, but in terms of site offerings, pricing, and wagers, I think the best option is BetOnline.
Before you head there and place your bets, though, let’s analyze the men and women’s odds and see who is likely to win these tourneys.
Australian Open Tennis Betting Odds for Men’s Tournament
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Jannik Sinner | +175 |
Carlos Alcaraz | +240 |
Novak Djokovic | +275 |
Daniil Medvedev | +700 |
Alexander Zverev | +1000 |
Taylor Fritz | +3300 |
Jack Draper | +4000 |
Arthur Fils | +4000 |
Andrey Rublev | +5000 |
Stefanos Tsitsipas | +5000 |
Go to BetOnline’s tennis futures section, and you’ll find dozens of bets, with odds ranging from +175 to +30000.
Obviously, most of the 65 players listed there have almost no chance of doing anything in Melbourne, which is why I put only the biggest AO2025 favorites in the table above.
Defending champion Jannik Sinner is at the top of the list with +175 odds. Carlos Alcaraz is in second place with +240 odds. This is at BetOnline, while many other sites give him significantly shorter odds (around +200).
Next up is Novak Djokovic – last year’s No. 1 betting favorite and the man with the most Aussie Open trophies won in history – his odds for the 2025 tournament are +275.
Daniil Medvedev at +700 and Alexander Zverev at +1000 are the only two other serious contenders for the men’s singles title in Melbourne. All the others have way too long odds, suggesting that BetOnline’s oddsmakers don’t have much faith in them (and neither do I).
Australian Open Tennis Odds for Women’s Tournament
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Aryna Sabalenka | +225 |
Iga Swiatek | +350 |
Cori Gauff | +450 |
Elena Rybakina | +750 |
Qinwen Zheng | +1000 |
Naomi Osaka | +1200 |
Jessica Pegula | +1400 |
Mirra Andreeva | +1400 |
Karolina Muchova | +1600 |
Ons Jabeur | +3300 |
When it comes to the Australian Open odds for the women’s singles tournament in 2025, the top favorite is Aryna Sabalenka. She won the tournament last year, as well as the year before.
In 2024, the Belarus player was brilliant, winning the title without dropping a single set along the way. But her job was relatively easy because last year’s No. 1 favorite, Iga Swiatek, had her trip cut short in the third round.
The Polish star wants to do much better this time, and bookies have faith in her, giving Swiatek +350 odds. Cori Gauff is just behind with +450 odds, suggesting that she’s ready for war in Melbourne.
Elena Rybakina is also high on the list of favorites, a player who’s built the reputation of Aryna Sabalenka’s kryptonite in recent years. The odds of her dethroning the champ are +700.
BetOnline Best 2025 Australian Open Sportsbook
BetOnline is the online sportsbook for 2025 Australian Open betting. The site was quick to publish the odds, which remain very attractive. In fact, whichever player you wish to back, you’re going to get good value at this bookmaker.
At the moment of writing, the odds for AU2025 futures are up, but you can expect odds for individual matches to pop up quickly after the schedule is released by the tournament organizers. And we can bet that those odds will be great as well!
BetOnline is great for many reasons other than its tennis odds. We love its sports bonuses and promotions (e.g., $250 Free Bet), banking options (bank cards, cryptos, etc.), and more.

2025 Australian Open Best Bets
I think Carlos Alcaraz is the best bet for the 2025 Australian Open Men’s Singles. The 21-year-old is a hell of a player – he’s third in the ATP Rankings with three Grand Slam trophies in his cupboard.
Guess which one’s missing? The Australian Open. Can he win it in 2025? Obviously, he can. He’s not the top favorite because he wasn’t too impressive in the second half of 2024 – right at the time when his main rival, Jannik Sinner, switched to the top gear.
But it’s the start of the season; Alcaraz is fresh and ready to get back to the top. Literally the same goes for Iga Swiatek, a tennis superstar from Poland, who’s coming off a disappointing couple of months.
The 23-year-old is currently second in the WTA Rankings, just behind Sabalenka. Last year, she won the French Open, but since then, she hasn’t done much. The reason? She struggled with injuries and even got banned for one month for using a banned substance.
But she’s back, and she’s ready to prove to the world that there’s a lot more for her to be seen. Priced at +350, she’s my top bet for the women’s tournament.
My Favorite 2025 Australian Open Sleeper
I was really surprised to see that Alex de Minaur’s AO2025 odds were +6600. That’s way, way too long for Australia’s highest-ranked player.
The Sydney-based player is currently 9th in the rankings, coming to Melbourne after a very successful year. In 2024, he defeated a couple of real heavyweights, including Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal.
With a little help from Australian betting fans and sports aficionados in the stands, he could go far in January. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win the AO2025.
An even better sleeper, in my opinion, is Zheng Qinwen to win the women’s singles tournament. She came very close to winning it last year – Sabalenka beat her in the final.
The Chinese player did win a major tournament in 2024. A few months after the Australian Open, she won the gold medal at the Olympics.
Top Australian Open Props for 2025
- ATP Tour 2025 Novak Djokovic: Total Grand Slam Wins ZERO (-143) – Bet Now!
Here’s a long-term investment that can bring a 70% profit your way – Novak Djokovic won’t win a single Grand Slam tournament in 2025.
This is probably going to be his last year on the Tour, and I doubt he’s going to win a single major. The Australian Open is the Grand Slam where he’s got the best chance to win, so if he fails to do so, you can be confident that this prop is going to win.
He loves this tournament, the evidence being that he’s already won it 10 times. But he’s turning 38 in a few months’ time and is struggling with fitness. In fact, Djokovic opted out of the 2024 ATP Finals in December, citing an ongoing injury as the reason to do so.
If you’d like to make this prop, you can do it at Everygame Sportsbook, where the odds are -143 at the moment.
2025 Australian Open Betting Tips
Betting on the Australian Open requires much more than pure luck. You need to do your research before placing any bets. I’m not going to present you with a couple of factors you must focus on.
Previous AO Performances
Take a look at how certain players performed in this tournament in the last couple of years. The thing is that some players simply do great in Australia, the best example being Novak Djokovic.
ATP/WTA Rankings
The Aussie Open is the first major of the year; everyone’s well-rested and eager to get on the court. This is why the best players tend to do best in this tournament. So, how are you supposed to figure out who’s the best? Just look at their position in the ATP/WTA Rankings.
Australian Open Tennis Odds
Keep in mind that bookmakers are great at coming up with odds. If they suggest someone’s likely to win, there’s a reason for this. Likewise, players with too long odds are underdogs because they really don’t have what it takes to win the tournament.
Australian Open Winner Prediction for 2025
I think Carlos Alcaraz will win the 2025 Australian Open, which would push him to the top of the ATP Rankings – which is where I believe he belongs.
I also think we’ll witness Iga Swiatek’s resurrection this January. Her Australian Open odds are +350, which I think is fantastic value.
Need more Australian Open 2024 betting picks? Well, wait for the odds to be released for individual matches, then bet against Djokovic. I think someone will knock him out early in the tournament, possibly even before the quarterfinal stage.
