Pinocchio, Snow White, Peter Pan—for nearly a century, Disney animation has mined myths, legends, fairy tales, and even modern fiction to produce more than 50 adaptations of true and fanciful stories. One thing it has never done, however, is license its animation and characters to slot machine developers. But the fairy tales and historical records existed long before Disney Studios emerged. Sure, Disney may have capitalized on these popular tales first, but each character was introduced to numerous generations of children long before Tinker Bell did her sparkly thing every Sunday evening. Slot developers build games around ideas, conventions, and even tall tales that most of the gambling public will readily understand. So, it’s no surprise that many of our favorite online slot machines have mythological or magical themes. These games all share something our inner child responds to. Disney knew how to do this, and the best slot machine developers know it too. Here are five of the best Disney slots and a vetted online casino that features it.

Pinocchio

Pinocchio
  • Software: BetSoft
  • Release Date: February 24, 2015
  • RTP: 96.53%
  • Paylines: 1 to 15
  • Betting Limits: $0.01 to $75 (1 to 5 coins, 1 to 15 lines)
I like how BetSoft treats the characters in this adaptation of a 150-year-old Italian children’s book about an old woodcarver who longs for a son and carves one out of wood. Geppetto, Pinnochio—even Tinker Bell (I know, I know… I’ll explain in a bit)—are clearly drawn from the Disney movie, and yet, they seem truer to the original book. There are two symbols for Pinocchio—one is his wooden self, which is a regular symbol, while the other is Pinocchio as a real boy. The real boy only appears once five Real Boy mini-cards have been collected, at which time all wooden Pinocchios are converted to real boy Pinocchios (all of which serve as wilds). The real boy mini-cards are converted to wooden Pinocchio mini-cards, and you’re the game returns to regular play once five of those wooden Pinocchio mini-cards have been collected.
Other regular symbols include Pinocchio in a wooden bird cage, a poster for The Great Stromboli’s Marionette Show, a carpenter’s plane, a cuckoo clock, and the ten through the ace.
Special symbols that can be collected as you play are the workshop (a covered wagon) and book symbol. Collect ten of the workshop symbols to trigger the Stage World, while ten book symbols get you into the Classroom World. Both generate free spins and plenty of wilds. That fairy I mentioned earlier can come to your aid if you’ve somehow been blocked for specific sorts of winning pay lines. She flies across the screen and magically causes it to re-spin, hopefully righting the horrible wrong of you not winning initially. If this sounds like an intriguing Disney slot machine to you, play it now at BetUS.

Aladdin’s Wishes

Aladdin’s Wishes
  • Software: RealTime Gaming
  • Release Date: February 8, 2016
  • RTP: 93%
  • Pay Lines: 1 to 20
  • Betting Limits: $0.01 to $20
We posted a full Aladdin’s Wishes review a while back and was featured in a blog about the five best genie slots a while back. Looking at it again with fresh eyes, I’m still impressed with how the game manages to evoke Disney’s Aladdin without copying the signature Disney graphical style. The regular symbols here include a dark-haired princess, the genie, a monkey, an Arabian palace, a flying carpet, a scimitar, a crown, a bag of gold, a vase, and a bowl of fruit. None of these are drawn the way Disney Studios would have drawn them. And yet, the game still manages to make us recall the Disney movie quite easily.
Special symbols are Aladdin himself—naturally, he’s the wild icon and packs a 2x multiplier. His magic lamp (full of genies and other stuff we probably shouldn’t inspect too carefully) serves as a scatter that adds cash to any winning combination.

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast
  • Software: Yggdrasil
  • Release Date: February 18, 2017
  • RTP: 96.3%
  • Paylines: 20
  • Betting Limits: $0.20 to $100
This entry into the Out-Disneying Disney Tournament, Disney Slots Division, comes from Yggdrasil—well-known for their quirky takes on just about everything they tackle. This version of Beauty and the Beast is no exception. Yes, you’ll find plenty of the same characters you cheered and jeered from the Disney movie, but the characters are drawn darker and less playfully than in Disney Animation versions. Even the soundtrack is darker, even a bit ominous. This is one of the Disney slot games least likely to be confused with an actual Disney production.
As you might guess, there are two versions of both Beauty and the Beast.
There’s the beast and the human prince he once was, and there’s the beauty, which looks pretty much the same in both graphics except for that princess crown she’s wearing in one of them. Different colored gems fill out the rest of the regular symbols—red, green, blue, yellow, pink, and violet. The servants—including the Butler, the Chef, and the Maid—are special characters that can appear during any regular spin, and each triggers a different activity. The butler nudges one reel up or down to make a win happen. The Chef synchronizes reels 2, 3, and 4. The Maid distributes two to four wilds randomly about the playing screen. A rose is the free spin scatter, and three or more of these trigger 10 free spins, with four adding a 1,000 coins to your win and five adding 5,000 coins to your win. During free spins, you get to choose a servant to assist you. Additional free spins can be retriggered, allowing you to select a second and even a third servant, but once you’ve selected all three, free spins cannot be retriggered. I recommended reading this BitStarz review to learn more about banking at the casino before heading to there to play this Disney online slot.

Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror
  • Software: NetEnt
  • RTP: 96.48%
  • Release Date: July 24, 2018
  • Pay Lines: 243
  • Betting Limits: $0.10 to $100
My list of the best Disney casino slots continues with Mirror Mirror. Snow White is a favorite among many Disney fans. The ageless tale features many memorable characters, such as the Seven Dwarfs, the Evil Queen, and of course, Snow White. If the story has a special place in your heart, you’ll certainly consider this one of the top Disney online slots. It has five reels, three rows, and a strong RTP rating at 96.48%. You also have 243 ways to win and a maximum multiplier of 1,822 times your wager. Speaking of your wager, you can spin for as cheap as 10 cents or as high as $100.
Of course, the game had to feature something with the Magic Mirror. After all, the title of the game would be rather misleading.
The Mirror symbol only appears on the third reel in the base game, but it’s on the first, second, and third in the free spins. Each time you spin the Mirror symbol, it turns into either the Princess or the Queen. You also keep that symbol in the re-spin that you get along with it. There are two more features in the game that are rewarding as well. They are called the Magic Fairy and Fairy Surprise. If you’re looking for slots with a Disney theme, this one is certainly worth a look. It’s also one of the best Snow White slots online. Read to play now? Head over to 888Casino!

Alice in Dreamland

Alice in Dreamland
  • Software: Arrow’s Edge
  • Release Date: October 10, 2019
  • RTP: 96%
  • Pay Lines: 243 (all ways)
  • Betting Limits: $0.40 to $240
My list of Disney slot machines will end with Alice in Dreamland. This slot is based on the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. You might know it better by the 2010 movie, but like most of these slots with a Disney theme, they originated from a book. This one has five reels and three rows, an RTP of 96%, and 243 pay lines. As you might have expected, this slot machine is full of vibrant colors, interesting creatures, and the star of the show, Alice. Speaking of Alice, she’s the bonus symbol that you’ll be hoping to spin. The Cheshire Cat is the most rewarding symbol, followed by the caterpillar.
In addition to big wins, you can also earn the spinning wild, bonus games, and more free spins.
Spin three of Alice’s symbols to earn the “Drink Me” bonus feature. You can also earn the “Mushroom” and “Croquet” bonuses, depending on which multiplier you’re able to land. On top of all these great features, Alice in Dreamland also has a progressive jackpot. The jackpot prize is displayed at the top of the screen. For reference, it’s over $12,000 at the time of this writing. If this was your favorite Disney story, this is definitely one of the best Alice in Wonderland slots online. Head over to Drake Casino to play Disney slot games, such as this one!
