  • Find some of the best Mermaid slots available online, and where you can play them.
  • Maximize your earnings with Cash Money Mermaids, which offers a progressive jackpot feature.
  • Under the Sea also makes the cut as one of the top mermaid slots with its RTP of 95.5%.

You don’t have to be a sailor to enjoy a good mermaid story. Still, you’ll definitely want to gamble for real money online when you discover how generous and surprisingly adult the five mermaid slots I’ve selected for your next slots session.

Sure, you can try out the best fish slots, but why not spend some time with those beauties of the sea, the mermaids?

To that end, I’ve selected these five mermaid slots as the best of the genre. Some include recognizable favorites, and others lean toward very adult scenarios, but regardless of their content, art, and music, each deserves a test drive.

If you woke up this morning wondering where to play mermaid slots, you’d be happy to know I’ve identified the locations of five of the best places for you.

Before we start our list of the best mermaid slots online, it’s always a good idea to check out our slots guide for insightful advice.

Now, this game completely contradicts the “little mermaid” motif. It’s called Cash Money Mermaids, and if you suspect this isn’t a Hans Christian Andersen bittersweet fairytale, you are very, very correct.

The actual star of this slot is not a mermaid.

Instead, it’s King Tune, a wide-brimmed hat-wearing sea-something “gentleman of leisure” with a cheesy grin and no visible means of support, who employs a trio of shapely mermaids who, one can guess, are not here to do housekeeping.

That trio of mermaids is one of the regular symbols on the reels. Others include a bartending octopus, two tough-looking seahorses who—despite their size—look like they serve as bouncers and the nine thorough the ace.

The special symbols are self-explanatory: there’s the “Cash Money” scatter (which pays regardless of where three or more of them appear and triggers five free spins). There’s the “Wild” that substitutes for any other regular symbol to fill a pay line.

This is a unique take on a time-tested theme, and Cash Money Mermaids also features a hot drop progressive jackpot that can make you smile. That may not make it the best mermaid slot machine, but it certainly makes the game one of my top five.

Mermaid Royale

Mermaid Royale
  • Software: RealTime Gaming
  • RTP: 95.92%
  • Release Date: December 21, 2022
  • Pay Lines: 25 (fixed)
  • Betting Limits: 25 cents to $25
  • Where to Play: Lupin Casino

This unique addition to mermaid slots features a 5×3 reel set with a “bonus” row of three (above reels 2, 3, and 4) that can make quite a difference in win amounts and other aspects of play. The artwork is very good and quite adult-contemporary (rather than cartoonish and fun-for-all-ages” like a lot of slot art).

Regular symbols include four different mermaids (thankfully, each with different background colors that match their hair–red, green, blue, and violet), and four gemstones, each with one of the same colors.

The special symbols are where most of the real action takes place. First, let’s talk about the wild symbol (conveniently labeled “wild”). If a wild symbol appears in the bonus row, it fills the reel below it with wilds.

Whenever the treasure chest (scatter) appears on the bonus row, it causes a special 3×3 symbol to fill reels 2, 3, and 4, triggering three re-spins.

And then there’s the scatter that serves different purposes, depending on its label (2x to 4x multiplier, 3 free games, 1 free game, etc.). A blank symbol only appears on the bonus row, as does the special scatter, which triggers free games.

Of all the mermaid slot games I vetted for this blog, I enjoyed this one the most. It’s a low-medium volatility slot that will pay off more frequently. And it’s generous with re-spins and free spins.

Under the Sea

Under the Sea
  • Software: BetSoft
  • RTP: 95.5%
  • Release Date: May 15, 2012
  • Pay Lines: 30 (fixed)
  • Betting Limits: 2 cents to $150 (1 to 5 coins per line, coin value 2 cents to $1)
  • Where to Play: Drake Casino

We can all be forgiven for the misapprehension that this is a Disney slot.

It only looks like it might be a Disney slot—from the friendly grinning fish to the pretty blonde mermaid and right on to the name of the slot, which is, of course, the name of one of the most popular songs in Disney’s 1989 movie, The Little Mermaid.

The regular symbols on the reels are the aforementioned fish and mermaid.

Special symbols are a treasure chest (three of which trigger a bonus round), a sunken ship (three or more of which trigger up to 15 free spins), and a pearl-bearing oyster (the wild, which—when it appears in a paying line—also serves as a multiplier up to 5x).

The bonus round takes you to a separate screen where you click on up to six treasure chests. Most of the chests contain cash prizes, but one contains “COLLECT,” which means your choices have ended, and it’s time to settle up.

After that, it’s back to the regular spins.

Mermaid’s Pearls

Mermaid's Pearls
  • Software: RealTime Gaming
  • RTP: 97%
  • Release Date: June 7, 2019
  • Pay Lines: 3125 (all ways)
  • Betting Limits: 20 cents to $20
  • Where to Play: El Royale Casino

Talk about strange and unusual; Mermaid’s Pearls is that and more. Its 5×5 playing screen is full of surprises, and most of the symbols on the reels are very sexy mermaid in various poses.

As I noted, regular symbols include a cute mermaid in several enticing poses—a full-body shot of a reclining sultry mermaid, a sultry mermaid doing an Ann-Margret thing for the camera, close-up of a sultry mermaid doing a different Ann-Margret thing for the camera, and a sultry mermaid leaning her head back and biting her little finger (okay, I KNOW she stole that one from Ann-Margret).

Oh, and four assorted seashells fill out the bottom of the pay table—unnecessary if you ask me, but I wasn’t asked. In any case, this game definitely qualifies as one of the best mermaid themed slots online.

While you’ll hit some good wins with those symbols, the real engine of this slot is the special pearl symbols. As you continue to spin, you collect these pearls, and as the counter number continues to climb, you win special prizes or play.

Hitting 300 pearls, for instance, triggers the shipwreck bonus, which presents you with a choice of one of four pearls. You win whatever prize is hidden within that pearl.

When you hit 600 pearls collected, you win 10 free games. During these free games, only pearls and blanks appear on the reels, and the number of pearls dictates the number by which your pearl wins will be multiplied.

I should probably mention that the mermaid appears on the left side of the screen to encourage you (and sometimes, just to shrug her shoulders). This one goes on my list as one of the best real money slots online.

Mermaid’s Treasure

Mermaid's Treasure
  • Software: Nucleus Gaming
  • RTP: 96.4%
  • Release Date: N/A
  • Pay Lines: 1 to 30
  • Betting Limits: 1 cent to $150 (1 to 5 coins in)
  • Where to Play: SportsBetting.ag

This 5×3 game from Nucleus bears an uncanny resemblance to BetSoft’s Under the Sea (noted above), at least as far as the artwork is concerned.

The various regular symbols are blue, green, and yellow colored fish, most of them grinning, for one thing. And there’s even a cute mermaid.

There is, however, one striking difference: The mermaid is green-skinned and scaly. Still cute and Disneyesque, however.

The game’s wild symbol is a pearl inside an open oyster, which also serves as a win multiplier of up to 8x. A sunken sailing ship is the scatter symbol, three or more of which trigger up to 15 free spins.

There’s also an open treasure chest full of gold that serves as the bonus symbol, three of which will trigger the bonus round, where the player selects treasure chests for cash prizes.
