The 2024 NBA Finals could wrap up with game five at TD Garden on Monday night, which provides even more reason to target the best NBA player prop bets while you still can.

Unless you’re a Celtics fan, the hope is Dallas can get a win and extend the series. No matter which side you root for, though, there are some good NBA Finals props to consider. Everyone has their bias, but I ran through the best wagers at Bovada and landed on my favorite four.

Check out our Bovada review or see which NBA player prop bets for today stand out the most.

Luka Doncic Under 32.5 Points (-114)

Normally I wouldn’t bet against Luka with confidence, but I fully expect Boston to win game five and claim this year’s championship in front of their home crowd.

If that’s the case, there’s a decent chance they win this game easily. Of course, even if Dallas keeps it interesting – or somehow manages to win – I’m not sure Doncic is a great bet to score 33 or more points.

Doncic hasn’t been able to do that at any point in this series and he’s scored more than 33 points just twice all playoffs long. Obviously he’s capable of getting there, but Boston’s defense, Luka’s injury situation (he’s been operating at less than 100%), and the point spread (Dallas are +6.5-point road dogs at most basketball betting sites) combine for an uphill battle.

Al Horford Over 2.5 Assists (+118)

I like Horfy to get three dimes and offer a solid plus money bet tonight. He’s usually known for more his defense, rebounding, and timely outside shooting, but the 38-year old has been a pretty low usage scorer in this series.

Horford can heat up from long range at any time, but he’s let the offense come to him naturally, which has led him to sending that extra pass when Boston needs it. It’s also helped him hit the Over on this bet in two of four games. In the two games he missed, he still had two dimes.

Horford would understandably be pretty involved if he’s the main man at the five spot. That’s a real possibility, seeing as Kristaps Porzingis is once again questionable to play.

At best, it sounds like The Unicorn would be severely limited if he did suit up.

The likely absence of Porzingis should give us 30+ minutes of Horford. For a guy who averaged 2.5 assists per game on the year, I think this bet feels like a smash at this price over at Bovada.

Jayson Tatum Over 43.5 PRA (-108)

I’ll stick with the Celtics for my next NBA Finals game five player prop bet. Tatum is obviously the alpha in Boston’s offense, but he has really only had one huge scoring effort in this series. His impact has been so moderate, in fact, that he’s not even favored to win Finals MVP.

While true, he’s not so far behind Jaylen Brown that a huge effort to clinch a title wouldn’t launch him to being the favorite. Posting a huge double-double or pouring in a ton of points might do the tick, and I expect him to deliver in a huge way.

Tatum averaged 39.9 PRA during the regular season and actually has hit the Over for this PRA total two times in these Finals. He needs a huge game, both to claim this championship and to give him a chance at series MVP. I think he gets it done.

Dante Exum to Make Over 0.5 Threes (+136)

My last NBA player prop for game five of the 2024 NBA Finals is centered around Dante Exum. Exciting, right? I know, but the guy earned a few more minutes after exploding with 10 real points in 14 minutes in game four.

With Jaden Hardy out of the rotation, it makes sense Exum would get a chance to prove he can stay hot from long range. The best part? You just need him to connect on one shot from distance, and the price at +136 is just too good to pass up.

It might get better. Exum should continue to come off the bench, so if this game turns into a housing, he’d likely be blowout proof to the extent we’d get to see more of him to close the contest.

Either way, guys like Exum and Tim Hardaway Jr. are getting court time for their perimeter shooting. Exum will let it fly and I like his chances to hit a three.

Betting on NBA Finals Player Props (6/17)

These are my four favorite NBA player prop bets for game five of the NBA Finals. This game has blowout risk when you look at what’s on the line, the spread, and where the game is being played. I don’t think we need to play into that too much, but the props above work with that logic.

Ultimately, Luka is not 100%. Boston is a tough draw, he’s on the road, and Dallas are once again underdogs. I think it’s fairly likely this game is over before the final stanza, and while Luka has elite usage, he just hasn’t gone crazy as a scorer in this series.

Boston is passing the ball like crazy and Horford should benefit from a likely absent Porzingis. I also think Tatum is going to go off tonight, while Exum to make one three at +136 feels like elite betting value.

I am sure there are other NBA player props worth betting on, but these four are my favorite. Just remember to target these individually, and that a full parlay stack isn’t suggested if you want a good shot at profiting on a nightly basis.

Bovada is also the site I used for these exact NBA Finals player props. Keep in mind there could be alternate bets to make at other sites, as well as superior odds. Bovada simply happens to offer some of the best bonuses, props, and promos you’ll find online going into game five.
