The right NFL parlay can help you kick off the 2024-2025 season with a bang. Building parlays can be tricky, but the risk is worth the reward when you win these high-paying football wagers.

This free guide will break down the best Week 1 NFL parlay. I will tell you my favorite five-leg parlay for opening weekend and explain why each bet made the cut. Bovada Sportsbook provided the odds for my week one NFL parlay, and they’re my top choice for NFL parlay picks to start 2024.

Top Week 1 NFL Parlay

  • New York Giants defeat Minnesota Vikings (+105)
  • Arizona Cardinals +7.5 vs. Buffalo Bills (-145)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5 vs. Atlanta Falcons (-120)
  • New York Jets +4.5 vs. San Francisco 49ers (-120)
  • Dallas Cowboys defeat Cleveland Browns (+115)

All of my NFL parlay picks for Week 1 concern teams who are underdogs on opening weekend. I believe two underdogs, the Cowboys and the Giants, will win outright against the Browns and the Vikings, respectively.

Also, I think the Cardinals (+7.5), Steelers (+3.5), and the Jets (+4.5) can cover their respective spreads.

None of these wagers have longer than +115 odds on their own. However, if you combine them with Bovada’s easy-to-use parlay builder, you can get +2404 odds. If you wagered $100 on these odds, you would net $2,403.58 profit.

NFL football parlays can make any week of the season more exciting. In week one, the best parlay betting site to build them at is undeniably Bovada.

Bovada Best Site for Betting on NFL Parlays

The prop builder at Bovada is an easy and convenient to build parlays for your favorite players and teams.

This betting tool will automatically combine your straight wagers into a parlay in your betting slip. It allows you to buy points and quickly see the lines for your wagers. Bovada also has parlay booster bonuses, allowing you to get even more out of your parlay NFL picks.

Bovada also has exciting NFL betting promotions, so you can add extra funds to your NFL bankroll. For instance, the 100% sports welcome bonus offers up to $1,000 in additional funds when you use the code BV1000 when making your first deposit

New York Giants Defeat Minnesota Vikings (+105)

Bovada has the Giants as +1.5 underdogs at home against the Vikings on opening weekend. New York beat Minnesota in the playoffs two seasons again, but both teams failed to return to the postseason last year.

The Giants added pass rusher Brian Burns this offseason, which should make their already great defensive line even better. Minnesota, on the other hand, lost its starting quarterback, Kirk Cousins, in free agency. The Vikings will roll with journeyman QB Sam Darnold under center for Week 1.

Neither team has an impressive offense, so this game should primarily come down to the defenses.

The Giants have the better unit on paper, and they should be able to defend home turf to start the season. The 1.5 spread is a risky bet as it is under three points, so you are better off betting on New York to win outright at +105 odds.

Arizona Cardinals +7.5 vs. Buffalo Bills (-145)

The next leg in my NFL parlay for Week 1 is for the Cardinals to cover +7.5.

Bovada has Arizona listed at +6.5, but you do not benefit from a full touchdown with that line. Luckily, you can buy the extra point and move the line to +7.5, and your odds only go from -115 to -145.

Arizona has to travel to Highmark Stadium, one of the toughest stadiums for opposing teams. However, the Bills lost several starters this offseason, and their offense will look drastically different.

The Bills also lost several starts on defense in free agency, and star linebacker Matt Milano was injured in the preseason. Buffalo should still win, but I doubt the Bills will beat Arizona by more than a touchdown in the season opener.

Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5 vs. Atlanta Falcons (-120)

Another underdog that I believe will cover their spread in Week 1 is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bovada has the Steelers listed as 3.5-point road underdogs on opening weekend against the Falcons, who have one of the best NFL stadiums.

Pittsburgh is a -120 favorite to cover the 3.5 points, and you benefit from a full field goal with this line. Cousins did not play in the preseason, so this will be his first live-action in The Falcons offense.

Atlanta should have a clear advantage offensively, but Cousins, who is still recovering from an Achilles tear, could limit them.

Pittsburgh’s defense is led by perennial All-Pro T. J. Watt, who has led the league in sacks in three of the last four seasons. If the rest of the defense can hold up, then the Steelers should be able to keep this game within a field goal.

New York Jets +4.5 vs. San Francsico 49ers (-120)

Speaking of quarterbacks returning from an Achilles injury, Aaron Rodgers and the Jets are 4.5-point road underdogs on Monday Night Football against the 49ers.

Like Cousins, Rodgers did not play in the preseason, but he has plenty of talent on offense to work with.

The biggest questions for the Jets in this matchup are Rodgers’ health and the team’s offensive line.

On the bright side for New York, the 49ers offense had a less-than-ideal offseason. Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and Left Tackle Trent Williams missed training camp amid contract disputes.

New York and San Fransico have two of the best defenses in the league, and both teams have questions on offense. This should be a low-scoring game, making it easier for the Jets to cover their 4.5-point spread.

Dallas Cowboys Defeat Cleveland Browns (+115)

The fifth and final leg of my Week 1 parlay at Bovada is for the Cowboys to upset the Browns in Cleveland. Dallas is listed as the 2.5-point underdog, and they are listed at +115 to win the game outright.

Cleveland and Dallas had top-five defenses last season and are still loaded with talent. The Cowboys lost their defensive coordinator, but their new DC, Mike Zimmer, has had plenty of success in the NFL in his career.

Dallas has the advantage in the passing game, especially now that star Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb has signed his new contract. Assuming Lamb is up to speed for the opener, he and Dak Prescott should be able to carry the Cowboys to a road victory in Week 1.

NFL Parlay Betting Strategy

There are many different strategies for building the best NFL parlays today.  My football betting strategy for developing my parlay this week was to find value on underdogs. I specifically looked for underdogs with the best chance of covering their spreads or winning outright.

Three of the five legs of my best NFL parlay for this week involve underdogs covering spreads of over three points. The other two legs have underdogs winning against teams who are less than field goal favorites.

All five legs of my parlay have +115 odds or better, so they are relatively safe bets. Despite their low odds individually, you can still make plenty of cash on this parlay. It has north of +2400 odds without taking advantage of Bovada’s parlay booster bonuses.

Bet on NFL Parlays in Week 1

Week 1 of the NFL season is finally here, and the best way to kick off the season is with an exciting Week 1 NFL parlay.

There are millions of possible Week 1 parlay combinations, and Bovada makes it easy to bet on your favorite ones. My favorite parlay for this week is a five-leg parlay that uses my top bets for opening weekend, including a Cowboys upset win in Cleveland.
