It’s football season, so naturally most of the top sports betting contests have to do with the NFL or college football. So far the best contests are all NFL-centric, and that’s the case with my favorite option over at BetUS.

That’d be their NFL Pick’em contest, which you can play for free and earn up to $1,000 in free play at the site.

Obviously the catch is that you’d need to play through this money by wagering it, but $1,000 is still $1,000. You don’t need to win the whole thing to get some free play cash, either.

Here’s the prize breakdown for this contest:

• 1st: $1,000 free play
• 2nd: $250 free play
• 3rd: $100 free play

Just finish inside the top three, and you win some cash.

Remember that you can only play this contest for free one time, and the caveat is that you must place one real money bet after August 1st and prior to entering this contest.
