If you’re looking for the best UFC 305 bets, you’re at the right place. I will now present you with what I believe to be the best wagers you can make for the August 17 event.

What do I mean by “best”? I mean MMA wagers with lucrative UFC 305 odds, which are very likely to win. So, here are five bets that match this description.

Israel Adesanya to Beat Dricus du Plessis

UFC 305 odds promise an entertaining evening at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday, August 17. The UFC Middleweight title fight between Dricus du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanya is the most exciting matchup on the fight card.

Three hundred forty-two days after losing the championship battle to Sean Strickland, Izzy is coming back to get it. He’s fighting the man who took the belt from Strickland.

Betting odds at practically all the top MMA betting sites favor Izzy and I fully agree with them. Adesanya is one of the best kickboxers in the UFC, if not the very best one. In fact, he’s the only man to defeat the Light Heavyweight champ Alex Pereira by KO.

He did it last year, just a few months before losing to Strickland. I think he took the Strickland fight too lightly, thinking he’s going to out-strike his opponent easily. Actually, everyone thought that – his odds were -715 before the fight.

This time around, you can bet that Izzy will take things more seriously. He understands that Du Plessis is a tough brawler who lands a huge volume of strikes, similarly to Strickland. In order to beat him, he will need to be at his best. So, will he?

My prediction is that he will. After all, at the age of 35, he won’t get too many shots at the title if he misses this one.

If you agree with me, you can back Izzy at -140 at a number of sites. Still, my recommendation is to do it at BetOnline because this sportsbook has some awesome bonuses and promos.

For example, there’s a UFC Split Decision Championship Refund promotion, which will get you your money back if Adesanya loses by a split decision.

Steve Erceg to Beat Kai Kara-France

Everyone seems to like Steve Erceg. He’s a good guy, but is he a good fighter? I think he’s a very good fighter and he’s going to prove it (once again) on August 17.

He’s 12-2 overall with his first career loss happening in his second professional fight. His second loss happened in May in the UFC Flyweight championship fight with Alexandre Pantoja.

Erceg got ragdolled by his opponent who landed nine takedowns that evening. But let’s face it, he was expected to lose. Not only is Pantoja one of the best flyweigths of his generation, but their fight took place in Pantoja’s hometown of Rio de Janeiro.

This time, it’s Steve Erceg who fights at home. He’s born and raised in Perth, so you can be certain the crowd at RAC Arena is going to be on his side. This should put him in fight mode, so he’ll probably go for a finish against Kara-France. My prediction is that this will work out for him.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik to Beat Tai Tuivasa

Tai Tuivasa is another good guy who’s loved by fans, but unfortunately for them, he’s going to lose another fight. My prediction is that Jairzinho Rozenstruik will put him to sleep at UFC 305.

To understand why this is my prediction, you need to understand Tuivasa’s fighting style. He’s a big and heavy guy whose practically only weapon is punching. Sure, he’s got the nuclear option in his fists, so if he hits Bigi Boy in the head, it’s game over.

However, I’m not sure he will. Rozenstruik has longer arms than him and is much quicker. Plus, given that Tuivasa gets hit a lot (5.05 times a minute), I wouldn’t be surprised if Rozenstruik stopped him before he gets any chance to unleash his striking power.

Casey O’Neill to Beat Luana Santos

Casey O’Neill was originally meant to fight Tereza Bleda at UFC 305, but when she pulled out, Luana Santos stepped in to save the day. Not having enough time to prepare for the fight is just one on a long list of reasons why I think Santos will lose.

She also had to fly across the Pacific Ocean to get from Sao Paulo to Perth. That’s a trip that takes 30+ hours, so jet lag is almost a certainty.

Another reason why I think she’s going to lose is that she’s locking horns with a fighter who’s superior to her when it comes to striking. Actually, O’Neill lands more significant strikes than any other female fighter on the UFC roster, with her average being 8.41 per minute.

For all these reasons, I’m really shocked that UFC 305 odds are favoring the Brazilian. I think the Aussie fighter is going to beat her up and I’m planning to make some money off it. I’m going to back O’Neill at +121 at BetOnline.

Mateusz Gamrot to Beat Dan Hooker

Mateusz Gamrot is a hell of a fighter who’s a great wrestler and has amazing striking ability. He’s also very fast and has a really impressive gas tank. He’s just unlucky to compete in the UFC Lightweight division at a time when this division is packed with amazing fighters.

Gamrot is 24-2-1 overall with both of his losses happening by decision. He won each of his last three UFC fights, even though he fought some real elite opponents. In his most recent fight, for example, he defeated former champ Rafael dos Anjos by unanimous decision.

Now, he’s fighting Dan Hooker who’s a decent fighter with a 23-12 record, but who I don’t think is at the same level as him. Gamrot should be able to beat him on August 17, thus keeping the championship dream alive.

More UFC 305 Best Bets

After reading about my top UFC 305 bets that I believe are very likely to win, here are a couple of longshots.

The first of those is Herbert Burns, who, same as his brother Gilbert, is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert. Sure, he’s coming to Perth on short notice, but the thing is that his opponent’s Achilles’s heel is grappling – two of Jack Jenkins’s three losses happened by submission.

I also feel as if Rick Glenn could beat Song Kenan. Both are well-rounded fighters with a similar set of skills. Glenn used to be kind of rash in the Octagon, which cost him a couple of KO/TKO losses. But if he fights smart on August 17, I think he can win.

Obviously, these two are sleeper bets, so if you’re looking for something safer, my advice is to bet on Adesanya at BetOnline or some other top-rated sports betting site. The former champ is ready to reclaim his title, which could open the door to a mega-fight trilogy with Alex Pereira in the future.
