The 2025 Critics Choice Awards odds are out! Given that the ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, now is the ideal time to place some bets on which film will be voted the best picture, who’s going to win the best actor/actress award, and so on.

But where can you bet and who should you back? Those are the questions I’ll answer in this post.

Odds for the 2025 Critics Choice Awards

Anora is the odds-on favorite to win the Best Picture award, which is no surprise as this movie is loved by critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a 94% fresh rating with 303 reviews by critics giving it a positive rating.

The Brutalist, which is second favorite with +250 odds, has a 93% fresh rating. Only three films nominated for the Critics Choice Best Picture Award in 2025 have a rating higher than 90% – Conclave, The Substance, and Sing Sing.

Sing Sing is actually the highest rated of all of them, with a 97% fresh score on the Tomatometer.

Priced at -220, Adrien Brody is a huge favorite to win the Best Actor Award for his performance in The Brutalist.

The only actor who’s got a realistic chance of taking the award from his hands is Timothee Chalamet, who got on this list for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown.

Judging by the 2025 Critics Choice Awards odds, Mikey Madison is very likely to win the Best Actress Award. Her performance as the title character in Anora has already won her more than a dozen awards. Plus, she’s the No. 1 favorite to win the Oscar for Best Actress.

Karla Sofía Gascon, who starred in the musical Emilia Perez, is the second favorite, followed by Angelina Jolie, who got the Critics Choice nomination for her portrayal of opera singer Maria Callas in Maria.

If you’re wondering why Baby Reindeer is such a huge favorite (-500), it’s because this miniseries has already won six Emmys, including one for the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

The Penguin is second on the list of favorites, with the odds of +160. All the other shows are currently priced at +1000 or over, suggesting that there’s only a little chance one of them might win.

Best Bets for the 2025 Critics Choice Awards

Mikey Madison is probably the best bet available. First of all, the 2025 Critics Choice odds are good, especially given how likely she is to win the award. She’s already swooped plenty of awards, so it would be really strange if she didn’t win this one as well.

The same goes for Baby Reindeer in the Best Limited Series category. In fact, the Netflix series is an even safer bet, but the odds are much shorter. You’d need to bet $500 to make a $100 profit.

Possible Critics Choice Awards Upsets  

Timothee Chalamet’s portrayal of Bob Dylan is a real masterpiece, which is definitely worthy of a major award.

The only problem is that Adrian Brody’s performance in The Brutalist might be even more impressive in the eyes of the critics. But if you’re willing to take this bet, I think you should do it.

Another bet worth placing is that Sing Sing will win the Best Picture Award. The reason is that critics love this movie, the evidence being that it’s got the highest approval on Rotten Tomatoes.

As you can see, in most cases, I went with big favorites. The only major exception is Sing Sing, which I think stands a very good chance of winning the Best Picture. Of course, priced at +1200, that’s not my safest bet. Instead, it’s Baby Reindeer at -500.

I know I’m gonna go big on Baby Reindeer. Sure, The Penguin is awesome, but I bet critics love Baby Reindeer more. I’m also confident that Sing Sign is their favorite, although I won’t put too much cash on that bet.
