  • With no tell due to a mask, Jason Voorhees is one horror movie villain who’d excel at poker.
  • A mask also keeps you from knowing when Michael Myers bluffs, and he also is as stubborn as it gets.
  • Pennywise is one movie villain great at poker because he can read thoughts and taunt his opponents.

Who doesn’t love the spooky season? One of the best things to do around Halloween time is to watch a scary movie featuring some of the best horror movie villains.

Say, which of these villains would be the best at playing poker? Some characters would be incredible poker players. The scariest horror movie villains can be unpredictable, smart, and intimidating.

Sounds like a good poker player to me, right? Come to think of it, gambling for real money online just got a lot more appealing.

Still, if wish to see who you might face during a poker game, procced at your own risk. Here are the top horror movie characters that would be incredible poker players.

Jason Voorhees

Jason Voorhees is one of the most iconic horror movie villains of all time. It’s also easy to understand why he would be a great poker player too.

You can say this about many villains, but the iconic Jason mask is the biggest reason he would be incredible at playing poker.

His poker face is unmatched, making it impossible to get a read on him. It would be guesswork, which is much more difficult.

Famous for being the main villain in the Friday the 13th franchise, Jason has been one of the terrifying villains in history. The mask covers his deformed face, which is said to be from drowning as a child at Camp Crystal Lake.

Jason would kill anyone that entered Camp Crystal Lake to avenge his mother’s death. In the first movie, Pamela Voorhees was the killer behind the massacres at the camp.

Pamela’s ability to seem kind-hearted would allow her to kill her victims easily. That also makes her one of the best female horror movie villains.

Her ability to earn your trust and then betray you would make her a pretty good poker player too. In the end, Jason and Pamela Voorhees are two terrifying villains who would be great at poker.

Michael Myers

Michael Myers

We have another killer like Jason in how they sport a horrifying mask.

Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise doesn’t just kill people in certain areas, though; he kills anyone who crosses his path.

There are no boundaries when it comes to Michael Myers, even killing family members and children. His mask gives him an incredible poker face, while his limitless boundaries would make him quite a poker player.

I would assume Michael is the type of person to go all in, which would be quite the scene if he ended up losing. His ability to intimidate other poker players would probably force them to fold rather than match his hand.

Michael Myers is also known for his ability to track down his victims. That would translate well to reading his opponents and anticipating their next move.

He’s one of the best horror movie villains of all time, and he would be an exceptional poker player. After all, a guy relentlessly coming back at you has got to mess with your head.

Good ol’ Mike Myers has his very own slot game, but you must check out the rest of the best Halloween themed slots you can play online.

Chucky

You might think Chucky is just a doll, but he’s a serial killer who transferred his soul into him. Charles Lee Ray tried to escape Detective Mike Norris and succeeded by using a voodoo ritual to transfer into Chucky.

After Chucky is given to a child (Andy Barclay), he begins terrorizing his family. There have been several Chucky movies, and he’s become another horror icon.

The thing about Chucky is that he’s almost unkillable.

From a poker standpoint, you might want to reconsider playing with Chucky.

He comes back for more when you think he’s down for the count. This would be incredibly challenging to deal with, especially when you take into consideration all the torture methods he’s capable of.

He’s also not a child, being the former soul of a serial killer. His lovable appearance sucks you in, and he is ready to stab you in the back anytime.

That makes Chucky one of the scariest horror movie villains that would be great at poker.

Pennywise

Next up on my list of the top horror movie antagonists that would be great at poker is Pennywise or It. Stephen King’s story of It has been done multiple times, each of them horrifying.

The two-million-year-old killer clown has tons of different abilities that would make him a fantastic poker player.

I would argue that he would have the opposite of a poker face, making it just as challenging to get a read on him.

One of his powers allows him to shapeshift into anything he wants. He could even appear as multiple different beings so that you can have a full table of Pennywise.

Pennywise is also telepathic, which means he can read your emotions. That would make it almost impossible to play with him since he would know your exact move. He can also use mind control, so he might just give himself an easy win.

The actor who played Pennywise in the recent film said it even terrified him.

Bill Skarsgard said, “…Every night, he came and visited. It was in the shape of me dealing with him, sort of Pennywise as a separate entity of me, and then me as Pennywise in circumstances that I didn’t appreciate. I’m Pennywise, upset that I’m out in public and people are looking at me.”

Mick Taylor

Mick Taylor

Several different characters would be great at the game of poker. However, I wanted to include someone who might not be an obvious choice. In the Wolf Creek series, Mick Taylor is the main antagonist.

Some of the scariest villains aren’t ones that are fictional.

One of the most terrifying things about Mick Taylor is that he’s based on real-life serial killers. The fact that a Mick Taylor could be walking around today is frightening.

Mick Taylor stalks people and then rigs their cars so they break down. He then offers them help, which makes him seem like a trustworthy guy. However, Mick is one of the most sadistic villains in many different ways.

He drugs his victims if they let him “help” fix their car, or he just kills them on the spot. His torture methods are also freaky, making him even more terrifying.

The biggest way he earns people’s trust is by playing dumb. That would make him pretty good at poker since most people will fall for it.

Beating the Toughest Poker Opponents

This is my list of the top horror movie antagonists who would be incredible poker players.

A better question might be, which horror movie villains wouldn’t be great at poker? Great poker players know how to read their opponent without giving away tips themselves.

They also are intimidating, manipulative, and brilliant. It would be tough to win a hand if you are scared for your life.

Some other horror movie villains that would be good gamblers include Dr. Hannibal Lecter, Norman Bates, Annie Wilkes, and Sweeney Todd.

Characters like Annie Wilkes and Norman Bates would convince you that they are likable people, only to stab you in the back. Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Sweeney Todd are incredibly smart, so picking up poker should be relatively easy for them.

It’s pretty hard to play poker if you’re staring at horror villains across the table. Heck, it’s plenty hard to get good at poker, regardless. If you’re interested in improving your table game, though, check out these useful poker tips.
