NFL player prop bets are great weekly betting options, but they are especially useful now that bye weeks have started. Four franchises are off this week, but there are still 14 games to watch and hundreds of prop players to choose from.

Continue reading to see my picks for the best player prop bets for NFL Week 5.

Justin Jefferson Anytime TD Scorer (+100)

Week 5’s slate of Sunday games has an early start. The Jets will face the Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, with kickoff scheduled for 9:30 a.m. EDT.

New York is 2-2 after failing to score a touchdown in the team’s loss to Denver last week.

Conversely, Minnesota (4-0) is undefeated, and Sam Darnold is a surprising MVP candidate through the first month of the season. Superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been essential to the Vikings’ success, and I think he will have a great game in London on Sunday.

Jefferson is listed at +100 in Bovada’s anytime TD scorer prop markets. He has the second-best odds of any player on Minnesota, behind only running back Aaron Jones (-106).

Jets’ cornerback Sauce Gardner is a star in his own right, and scoring on Sauce will be easier said than done. However, despite a challenging matchup against one of the league’s best defenders, I believe Jefferson will find the end-zone in London.

Bovada Best Site for Betting on Week 5 NFL Player Props

C.J. Stroud Over 262.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Another marquee matchup in Week 5 is the showdown between Buffalo (3-1) and Houston (3-1). Both teams can extend their respective division leads with a win this weekend. The Bills are also coming off their worst loss in recent memory, losing by more than six points in the regular season for the first time in 44 games.

Houston’s offense has struggled since RB Joe Mixon injured his ankle. With Mixon out, C.J. Stroud has been forced to shoulder more of the load on offense. The second-year quarterback had 345 passing yards last week, the fourth-most of any QB in the league.

Mixon could return for Week 5, but he will not be at 100%. Houston will need another big game from Stroud to defend their home turf against the Bills.

Bovada lists Stroud at over/under 262.5 passing yards for Sunday’s matchup against Buffalo. I think Stroud is a good bet to hit the over, with many of his passes going toward Stefon Diggs in the Diggs’ first game against his former team.

D.J. Moore Over 53.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Bears’ wideout D.J. Moore finally connected with Caleb Williams for a touchdown in the team’s 24-18 win over the Rams.

Chicago faces Carolina this week, and I think the Williams-Moore connection will be even better on Sunday.

Safe offshore betting sites list Moore at over/under 53.5 receiving yards for Sunday’s contest against the Panthers. Carolina drafted Moore in the first round in 2018 but traded the star wide receiver to Chicago for the right to draft Bryce Young.

Moore had just 58 receiver yards last year when he faced Carolina. While not an impressive total, it would be enough to cover the over on his total this weekend. The Panthers’ defense is also worse than it was a year ago, and I think Moore will cover the over on his receiving total this weekend.

CeeDee Lamb 1+ TDs and Dallas Wins (+210)

CeeDee Lamb is another start receiver on my Week 5 NFL player props. Lamb and the Cowboys will take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh this week on Sunday Night Football.

The Cowboys are 2.5-point underdogs, but I picked them to cover this weekend against Pittsburgh. Dallas can win outright if Lamb has a big day against a Steelers’ defense that struggled against the Colts last week.

Lamb is listed at -111 to score at least one touchdown on Sunday, and the Cowboys are +120 moneyline underdogs. You can combine Lamb’s TD odds and the Cowboys’ moneyline in this player performance double to get +210 odds.

The Cowboys need Lamb to be productive to pull off the upset against the Steelers. Lamb is one of the top receivers in the league and has played his way into football shape after his contract negotiations caused him to miss training camp. He will score this Sunday and help the Cowboys to a win in prime time.

Alvin Kamara Anytime TD Scorer (-125)

The final spot on my list of Week 5 NFL player prop bets belongs to Alvin Kamara. I picked Kamara to have over 69.5 rushing yards as part of my Week 4 NFL player prop bets.

Kamara finished with 77 rushing yards on 19 attempts and one touchdown.

He also had 42 receiving yards on seven catches, finishing with 119 scrimmage yards in the Saints’ loss to the Falcons. Kamara is on my list of the best NFL player prop bets again this week. Bovada has Kamara listed at -125 to score a touchdown this week against the Chiefs.

New Orleans faces Kansas City on Monday Night Football, and the Saints are +4.5-point underdogs. The Saints need a big game out of Kamara if they want to pull off the upset in prime time.

Kansas City will undoubtedly focus on stopping Kamara this week. Being the focus of the defensive game plan is nothing new for Kamara, and this wager will hit for any type of touchdown. With that in mind, I think Kamara will score at least once against the Chiefs.
