My Experience at BetOnline

I was impressed by how many ways to gamble there were at BetOnline across the online, casino, sportsbook and poker room. The casino library includes more than 800 video slot machines, 27 blackjack tables, 19 roulette wheels, and nearly 70 live dealer casino games.

I spent a lot of time in the casino section of the site and enjoyed playing Buffalo Bounty, Fruit Bat Crazy, and the Rise of Titans scratch-card, in particular.

Bonuses at BetOnline

BetOnline helps sports bettors hit the ground running by matching 50% of your first deposit up to $250 when you use the promo code FREE250. This generous sports welcome bonus also includes 100 free spins in the casino, which are allocated as 10 free spins per day for 10 days. The spins are valid on a different game every day, and you can click on the “Casino Bonus” tab in your account to find each day’s qualifying game.

Unlike many casinos’ welcome bonuses, this offer has no rollover requirements. It also comes with a reasonable 30-day time limit to fully claim the bonus.

Payment Methods Review

The BetOnline cashier accepts 24 payment methods for deposits, including credit cards, cryptocurrency, money orders, and bank transfers. 

It takes deposits with the four most commonly used credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover card. All credit card deposits have a $25 minimum and $2,500 maximum at BetOnline, and the funds are credited to your account instantly.

One negative about BetOnline is that it charges a 9.75% on all credit card deposits. While the two highest tiers of the casino’s VIP Rewards Program only pay $5 per deposit, players should consider that most online casinos today don’t even charge for credit card deposits. 

Bitcoin deposits range from $100–$500,000 per transaction, while all other coins have $20 minimum and $100,000 deposit maximum amounts. Included among the casino’s accepted coins are Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, Ripple, and Solana.

Person-to-person transfers, money orders, bank wire transfers, and cashier’s checks round out the remaining deposit options at BetOnline. Deposit minimums range from $100–$1,500 for these methods, while the maximum amount you can deposit starts at $600 for person-to-person transfers and goes up to $10,000 for bank wire and cashier’s checks. 

Players can withdraw winnings in all accepted forms of crypto deposits (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.), as well as through person-to-person, money order, bank wire, and cashier’s checks. Most coins have low minimum withdrawal amounts of $20, with a few exceptions. These include Bitcoin ($100 min.), Ethereum ($200 min.), Shiba Inu ($50 min.), and Tether ($200 min.). The casino’s banking page states that crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours, and transaction fees apply to crypto deposits as well.

Bitcoin, Tether, and USD Coin all have $100,000 maximum withdrawal amounts, Litecoin and Cardano have $25,000 maximums, and the rest have max payouts of $10,000. 

Like the majority of online casinos, BetOnline doesn’t offer credit card withdrawals.  

The gambling site paths users toward crypto payouts by charging fees for most of the other withdrawal methods along with longer processing timelines. Money orders have an $80 processing fee and take up to seven days, while bank transfers have a $45 fee (or 3% of the payout, depending on the amount).

BetOnline Sportsbook Review

BetOnline’s sportsbook is its main attraction, though the casino is high quality as well. The sportsbook covers hundreds of different betting markets, including popular sports like football, basketball, baseball, and hockey (all pro and college leagues).

But what really sets BetOnline apart from its competition are the niche markets it covers, like entertainment, and politics. You can bet on the NFL, NBA, MLB, and the NHL at any online sportsbook, along with a wide selection of international sports like rugby, snooker, and cricket. But BetOnline also has odds on TV shows (American Idol, Survivor, etc.), movie box office returns, elections (both US and international), and major WWE events (WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam).

In terms of UX, BetOnline would definitely benefit from adding a search bar to their sportsbook menu. Other than that the sportsbook is relatively easy to navigate on desktop and mobile, with each betting category clearly labeled on the left side of the screen. The bet slip is pinned on the right side of the screen, where you can easily add, delete, and modify your bets before submitting them.

For betting features, BetOnline has a props builder, same game parlays, mega parlays, and an odds booster. The site also offers live in-game betting for extra entertainment, with odds that update in real time as the action unfolds. There’s also an calendar tracking upcoming live betting events to help bettors plan what games to follow well in advance. 

The BetOnline sportsbook also accepts wagers on thoroughbred and harness horse races in the US, Canada, Australia, Italy, and more. You can also bet on popular esports at BetOnline, including wagers for Counter-Strike, Rocket League, and NBA2k contests. 

What I’d say is to sum up the betting experience at BetOnline, is that no matter what sport you’re looking to bet on, BetOnline probably has odds on it.

BetOnline Casino Review

BetOnline offers nearly 800 slot machines from leading software providers that include BetSoft, Dragon Gaming, Digital Gaming Solutions, and Arrow’s Edge. These providers also supply BetOnline with 27 blackjack tables, 19 roulette wheels, and 23 single and multi-hand video poker variations. 

The casino features a nice specialty games section as well, offering 34 scratch-cards, and nearly 30 miscellaneous and arcade-style games like Plinko variations and casino solitaire. I was disappointed that the specialty games didn’t include any bingo variations.

BetOnline makes it easy to browse around to find a games and sports that you want to bet on. The site prominently displays gaming categories right on top of the screen so you can quickly go to Slots, Table Games, Live Casino, the sportsbook, and more. There’s also a search bar so you can go straight to the game you want to play without having to search through the casino’s vast collection of nearly 1,000 titles to find your favorite.

Slots

The bulk of BetOnline’s casino games are slots, there were 788 at the time of writing. While the offering is impressive, I would like to see the ability to filter the games by provider, reels (three-reel, five-reel, jackpot, etc.), and theme. The search bar is certainly convenient, but only if you know the specific title you wish to play. There are also a lot of casinos out there with much bigger slot libraries.

That said, the slots offering is large enough to please any casual player. The games feature high-quality graphics that look great both on desktop and mobile devices. A lot of the games also have extra entertaining features like free spins, bonus games, buy bonuses, hold and win features, wilds, stacked wilds, and more. 

A few my favorite games were:

• Buffalo Bounty – This Dragon Gaming title has a simple layout with five reels, three rows, and 10 paylines. There’s beautifully animated symbols, a calming soundtrack, and clean graphics. Free spins come with a bonus of your choosing, allowing you to select from options such as additional wild symbols, win multipliers, expanding symbols, and extra free spins. 
• Fruit Bat Crazy – Classic slot symbols give this game a comforting retro feel, but with fresh, modern graphics. This Betsoft game is a 5×3 slot that has 243 paylines and a 95.22% return-to-player percentage (RTP%). You can buy free spins, though I prefer the anticipation of trying to hit free spins with luck. I did try the feature by purchasing 20 free spins for $21, but ended up winning just over $10.
• Bonanza Billion – One of my favorite titles from BGaming, Bonanza Billion, has cascading reels and a colorful design that reminded me of Candy Crush. The bright color scheme, combined with the soothing soundtrack and fun sound effects, made it easy to settle in. The game’s RTP% was a relatively high 96%, and included features like scatter tiles, multipliers, and the ability to increase your chances of hitting the free spins bonus only an additional $0.05 per spin. 

Table Games

BetOnline has 77 table games when I reviewed the site, a satisfying offering that included:

• 27 blackjack tables (single-hand, multi-hand, American, European, perfect pairs, and more)
• 19 roulette wheels (American, European, Dragon, and French)
• Five baccarat tables (including Ultimate and Dragon Baccarat)
• 10 casino poker games (tri-card, Let it Ride, Caribbean, hold ’em, Oasis, and 6Up, among others)

Like the casino’s slot selection, BetOnline has games from well-known providers like Rival Gaming, FlipLuck, and Concept Gaming.

The site’s blackjack variations include single and multi-hand variations, 21 Burn Blackjack, Rolling Stack, and Blackjack 11. There are also BetOnline exclusives, such as Double Up Blackjack, Blackjack Duel, and BetOnline 33 Blackjack Free Bet.

For roulette, BetOnline offers 19 wheels. I appreciated the seven European wheels to choose from, since European roulette has slightly better odds than the American counterpart—it only features one zero slot versus the two zero slots (0,00) featured on American wheels. That extra zero doubles the house edge to 5.26%, versus the 2.7% house edge on single-zero European roulette wheels.

BetOnline also has 10 RNG poker games, including tri-card poker, Let It Ride, Caribbean poker, bonus Texas hold ’em, and Oasis poker.

There’s also an “Other Table Games” category that includes craps, multi-hand casino war, three card rummy, pai gow, red dog, and two rocket dice variations.

Video Poker

I was instantly impressed by the number of video poker games I found at BetOnline, and that the site’s 23 video poker titles were clearly categorized into 10 single-hand and 13 multi-hand variants. 

There are several repeat variations such as Deuces Wild, Joker Poker, and Jack or Better, but the titles are supplied by different providers like Arrow’s Edge and Betsoft, making them distinct in their own way.

Specialty Games

The BetOnline specialty games section has 34 scratch cards, two keno variations, and 27 miscellaneous games. The section’s glaring omission was any bingo variations, which are a personal favorite of mine.

That said, the BetOnline scratch card selection is one of the more impressive collections I’ve seen at online casinos. I had a lot of fun playing the scratch card Rise of Titans. I might’ve played for hours if I didn’t have to write the rest of this review!

The Dragon Gaming-powered title has an impressive ancient Greece-meets-fantasy art style. Players can manually select nine squares one at a time to scratch, or choose to auto-scratch. Each square is uncovered with a 3D lightning bolt, and the card’s Free Games squares are enticing enough to make you want to keep playing card after card.

Live Dealer

There’s a lot to like about BetOnline’s live dealer selection, both in quality and quantity. The games are hosted by Fresh Deck Studios, BetGames, and Visionary iGaming. Across these three providers, the live game library includes blackjack, baccarat, roulette, lottery games, and more.

BetOnline has 24 different blackjack live dealer tables, with betting limits ranging from $5 to $50,000 per hand. These games come in three different varieties: Standard, VIP, and Early Payout.

There are also nine baccarat tables, with betting limits ranging from $1 to $10,000.

The live casino at BetOnline has 16 roulette wheels, including American and European variations. You can play the live versions of these games, or you can do Auto-Roulette for both as well. Betting limits range from $0.50 to $12,500 for roulette.

The site has four lottery-style games as well, which all have $1–$1,000 per-hand limits. The “Other Games” section of the live casino lobby includes newer games like War of Bets, Wheel of Fortune, Dice Duel, and six Super 6 tables ranging from $5–$10 per hand.

I don’t think any experienced player would be disappointed by BetOnline’s live casino section.

BetOnline Poker Review

The BetOnline poker room should satisfy the needs of both casual and serious poker players alike. And unlike the main casino and sportsbook, BetOnline has a dedicated PC application, as well as mobile web-apps that optimize the site for seamless play on Android and iOS devices. 

There’s also a poker-specific welcome bonus that helps new players by matching 100% of your first deposit for up to $1,000 (min. $50 deposit), along with eight days of complimentary poker tournament tickets to help newbies learn the ropes. 

The site has No Limit Hold ‘Em poker tournaments every hour, 24 hours a day, with rebuys at half past the hour, every hour. Buy-ins for these tournaments range from $1–$215 per tournament. 

BetOnline also has satellite tournaments in which players can win tickets to higher pot poker tournaments in lieu of cash prizes. 

For example: the Sunday Main Event game normally has a buy-in cost of $109 that allows players to compete for $150,000 in weekly prizes. However, for $8.80 you can enter a satellite tournament during the week that rewards winners with a free ticket to the Sunday Main Event game. 

The site also has a Daily Boost leaderboard in which No Limit Texas Hold ’Em players compete for more than $1,000 in daily prizes. The BetOnline Sit-and-Go Leaderboard allows players to score points by playing in low, medium, and high buy-in games, and the top 15 players every day win a share of $500 in prizes that can be used to enter real money tournaments on the platform.

Customer Support at BetOnline

The BetOnline customer support team is available to answer your questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The fastest way to get a response is through the site’s live chat feature.

I contacted the live chat support to ask a question about one of the site’s welcome bonuses. After entering my name, email, and question topic, I was connected to an agent named Susan in roughly one minute. 

She greeted me and asked me what my question was. I asked her what the rollover requirements on the bonuses were, and she sent me a link to an entirely different casino’s requirements. When I asked if BetOnline had the same terms as the external site, she apologized and asked me to wait while she found the information I was looking for. 

After a few minutes, she came back to say there were no requirements. I verified with her that there were none, and after she confirmed there were no rollover requirements I closed the chat.

Her service was helpful and relatively quick, but I didn’t appreciate that she gave me an answer to an entirely different casino. This clearly means that the agents are simultaneously supporting multiple casinos. Perhaps understandable from a business perspective, but as a customer, it didn’t make me very confident in the agents and service. Overall, I was impressed with BetOnline in a multitude of ways after performing my review. BetOnline provides an exceptional gambling experience for sports bettors and casino players alike. Their welcome bonus package isn’t as broad or high-value as other casinos, but they do have other promotions that make up for it.
