Kendrick Lamar’s First Song

Kendrick will play “Not Like Us,” his hit song from his feud with Drake, but I doubt it will open his set. Everyone wants to see him perform it, so I think it will come near the end of his set.

They are popular songs, but I think Kendrick will open the show with one of his classic hits. “HUMBLE.” is one of his biggest hits and a perfect song to kick off Kendrick’s halftime show performance.

With that in mind, I think Lamar will likely have additional performers join him for Super Bowl 59. He will need a set with more than 9.5 songs to accommodate those guests.

Kendrick’s feud with Drake was one of the biggest stories in music in 2024. Both artists released multiple diss tracks, but Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” won the feud. One of the more popular prop wagers for this year’s Super Bowl is whether Kendrick will diss Drake during his performance.

Both sportsbooks favor Kendrick not dissing Drake during his performance. Baby Keem, on the other hand, is Kendrick’s cousin, and the two collaborated on the award-winning Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. 

Future, Jay Rock, and Schoolboy Q are all tied for the third-best odds at +110. Other well-known artists with favorable odds include Kodak Black (+200), J. Cole (+225), and Travis Scott (+225). 

Several previous Super Bowl performers are also available, such as Snoop Dogg (+600), Rihanna (+1000), and Usher (+2000). You can also bet on longshots like Taylor Swift (+2500), Beyonce (+4000), and Kendrick’s biggest rival over the last year, Drake (+2500). 

The Chiefs are among the best bets to make Super Bowl 59, so Swift will likely be in attendance, but I doubt she will take the stage. Beyonce headlined Super Bowl 47 and recently was the halftime entertainment for one of the NFL Christmas Day games. 

This market has many intriguing options, and you can bet on multiple guests. My top pick is Lil Wayne, another rap legend and New Orleans native. Lil Wayne is close with Drake, which could cause tension with Kendrick, but this would be a good way to bury the hatchet and appease fans upset that Wayne was not chosen as the headliner.
