The 2024 NFL season is underway, and the Super Bowl 59 odds have been updated across most NFL betting sites.

Not much has changed following the league’s Kickoff game, though. The Kansas City Chiefs were favored to win again before the season started, and after going 1-0 to get the ball rolling, they’re the top dogs still.

Can KC actually threepeat, though? Or is it wiser to target another Super Bowl 2025 winner? Let’s look at the current Super Bowl 59 odds to come to a conclusion.

Updated Odds to Win Super Bowl 59

NFL Team2025 Super Bowl Odds
Kansas City Chiefs+475
San Francisco 49ers+625
Baltimore Ravens+1000
Detroit Lions+1000
Philadelphia Eagles+1100
Cincinnati Bengals+1200

The Super Bowl betting odds above are taken from Bovada. If you’re not familiar, this is one of the most trusted online sportsbooks you can use. They’re also a nice offshore option if your don’t have regulated online betting in your state.

KC remains the odds on Super Bowl favorite, and nobody will scoff at that. The 49ers were in the big game last year, so nobody should be balking at them coming in with the second best price tag, either.

Baltimore barely lost to KC in their opener, so it’s arguable they are going to be a problem all year.

Rounding out the top 5 teams in terms of Super Bowl 59 betting odds are the Lions, Eagles, and Bengals. All of these teams are priced at +1200 or better, while there are four other teams with odds at +2000 or better, too.

Now could be a good time to hop on some of these prices, particularly if you want to bet on someone other than the Chiefs. I recommend doing so at Bovada, but let’s take a closer look at why.

Bovada Best Site for Betting on Super Bowl 59

Bovada is arguably the top Super Bowl betting site you can use. They’re one of the most reputable sportsbooks you’ll find online, and they have a nice package of bonuses.

NFL bettors can take advantage of their $750 sports welcome bonus right now, while casino players can get a whopping $3,750 back. They also have an excellent rewards system, a prop bet builder, a parlay booster, and so much more.

Bovada is also perhaps the best site when it comes to NFL wagers. You can literally ask them for any wager your mind can dream up, and they often will allow you to bet on it. If you’re going to bet on the Super Bowl – or the NFL in general – this is the book to start with in 2024.

Why Are the Chiefs Favored to Win Super Bowl 59?

One of the best football strategies is first doing your research and identifying value. Historically speaking, KC is a major threat to win the Super Bowl, and their current price might be as good as it gets the rest of the way.

You don’t get as much of a return on your investment than other teams, but the oddsmakers consider them to have the best chance of winning.

The latest Super Bowl 2025 odds have the back-to-back Super Bowl champions favored to win, which isn’t a surprise.

Kansas City has been the most dominant team in the NFL over the last few seasons, and all signs are pointing to another stellar campaign this year.

Patrick Mahomes has cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks ever, and he still has plenty of time to chase Tom Brady. His squad looked pretty good in week one, while KC’s prized rookie addition did not disappoint.

Kansas City’s defense buckled late and almost allowed the Ravens to come back, but they otherwise were good all game long. The nice thing, also, is the Chiefs were able to get a hard-earned home win against a fellow title threat despite not really playing their best ball.

Mahomes tossed a pick and was far from flawless, while star tight end Travis Kelce was a non-factor. Still, on paper, the Chiefs have the 2024 NFL MVP favorite, and a loaded supporting cast.

Provided KC continues to improve, this first game is a gentle reminder that they are very much live to win an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl.

History admittedly isn’t on their side, but the Chiefs continue to be the real deal. If you are going to back them to win again, there’s no better time than the present.

Top Contenders for Super Bowl LIX

When making your Super Bowl 59 prediction, it’s important to analyze the top contenders outside of the favorite. Kansas City is a strong bet, but you never truly know what will happen.

Two other teams that could make it all the way next year include the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans.

San Francisco 49ers (+625)

The 49ers came oh so close to winning the Super Bowl last season, but they just couldn’t hold off Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

One wonders what would have happened if Dre Greenlaw didn’t suffer a brutal injury that knocked him out of the game, but the 49ers still have to go back to the drawing board.

Offensively, Brock Purdy’s emergence took the 49ers to new heights. He was in MVP discussions at the end of the year, which nobody really predicted. Now, Purdy will look to build off his performance last season and continue to lead the offense.

The good news is, he still has a ton of playmakers to work with. After several trade rumors revolving around Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, both wide receivers stood pat after the draft. They even added Ricky Pearsall for some added insurance.

Christian McCaffrey is easily the best running back in the NFL, and Trent Williams is arguably the best left tackle. The rest of the offensive line needs a bit of work, but altogether, they have an elite offensive unit.

On defense, the 49ers still have a ton of superstars. Dre Greenlaw should be back to full strength at some point, and they also have Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, Javon Hargrave, and a bunch of other studs.

Kyle Shanahan is one of the brightest NFL minds, but will he be able to get his team back to the Super Bowl and win in 2025?

Houston Texans (+1200)

I have been high on the Texans all off-season, but if you waited to bet on them, there’s good news; their odds got even more appealing.

Their former +900 price felt like a steal, but it’s actually dipped to +1200 at Bovada. Given their talent and upside, this feels like a home run price for a legit title contender.

C.J Stroud is coming off a remarkable rookie season, in which he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

The young quarterback led his team to the playoffs last year and there’s a good chance he’s even better in Year 2.

Houston has successfully given Stroud a lot of great weapons. Tank Dell and Nico Collins were already rising stars, and then the Texans added Stefon Diggs after trading with the Bills. The Texans also have a top tier offensive line to protect Stroud and keep the offense rolling.

DeMeco Ryans has done an excellent job with the defense, which features players like Will Anderson, Derek Stingley Jr., Danielle Hunter, and others.

Best Super Bowl 59 Sleepers

The Super Bowl odds have a ton of value for just about every option. That said, there are some teams in sleeper range that have especially intriguing prices. If you play your cards right, you could have a massive payout by year’s end.

Some of the best Super Bowl 59 bets include the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and Indianapolis Colts.

Green Bay’s young roster gained some valuable playoff experience last year. Jordan Love took a leap forward and ran Matt LaFleur’s offense at a very high level. A new defensive coordinator (Jeff Hafley) could help the Packers take another step in the right direction.

Aaron Rodgers’ injury ruined the Jets’ Super Bowl hopes last year, but they are going to do it all over again.

If Rodgers can get back to his MVP-winning level of football, the Jets can go all the way. They are tough on both sides of the ball, so don’t be surprised if they make a run this year.

The next two teams carry a good amount of risk, but they have loads of potential. If their young quarterbacks can become superstars, they could shock everyone.

First up is the Chicago Bears, who drafted Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. The former USC quarterback has the potential to be the next big thing and the Bears gave him a ton of weapons to work with, on top of a solid defense.

Naturally, the upgrade under center has a lot of people flocking to Illinois gambling sites to back the Bears. I can’t argue with the logic.

Anthony Richardson was lighting it up for the Colts before his injury. The dynamic second-year quarterback will be looking to stay on the field for all of this season, and take his play to the next level.

The Colts have more issues than the other three teams, but they have a lot of promise for a team with +7000 odds.

There are a ton of other sleeper teams to consider betting on for Super Bowl 59. However, I find these four to be the most intriguing because of their potential and current price tags

Predicting Who Will Win Super Bowl 59

You don’t have to wait to bet on the Super Bowl odds, thanks to the top betting sites.

There are a lot of teams with a ton of betting value right now, and that includes the top contenders. It’s too soon to rule anyone out, which is why it makes sense to bet on some sleepers as well.

That said, Kansas City gave Patrick Mahomes even more weapons to work with, so they will be my Super Bowl 59 prediction.

Their Bovada Super Bowl odds are at +475 right now, and I expect them to drop as the season goes on. Beating a good Ravens team to start the season doesn’t help, and there’s also history on the line.

If you believe KC can win again, now is the time to hop on them at Bovada.

Of course, there is value in betting on someone else. Obviously winning three consecutive Super Bowls is something no NFL team has accomplished, and there are legit threats like the 49ers, Ravens, and others.

It all depends on how much value you’ll want to seek and how much risk you feel like taking on.
