Super Bowl Odds

Despite a slew of defensive injuries, the Detroit Lions have claimed the top spot in the updated Super Bowl 59 odds. Jared Goff and company have been rolling on offense, but their defense cannot withstand more injuries.

Buffalo, Philadelphia, and the two-team defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs all have their own championship-ready rosters. Keep reading to see the latest Super Bowl 59 betting odds from the top NFL betting sites

Current Odds to Win Super Bowl 59

NFL Team2025 Super Bowl Odds
Detroit Lions+250
Buffalo Bills+500
Philadelphia Eagles+500
Kansas City Chiefs+550
Baltimore Ravens+1000
Green Bay Packers+1400
Minnesota Vikings+1600
Pittsburgh Steelers+2500
Los Angeles Chargers+3000
Houston Texans+3300

The Lions and Chiefs are both 11-1, tied for the best records in the NFL. Despite each team having 11 wins, Detroit is the +250 favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy in the current Super Bowl 59 odds at Bovada Sportsbook. Kansas City, on the other hand, is fourth at +550.

Buffalo (10-2) and Philadelphia (10-2) are tied for the second-best odds at +500. The Bills have the head-to-head tiebreaker of the Chiefs, but they are still a half-game behind the Chiefs for the number one seed. Likewise, the Eagles are looking up at the Lions in the current NFC standings.

The next-best division leader is the Pittsburgh Steelers at +2500. Pittsburgh has found a way to 9-3, but its questions on offense still make the Steelers a risky bet to make a postseason run. Russell Wilson and company are eighth in the current Super Bowl odds, behind the Ravens (+1000), the Packers (+1400), and the Vikings (+1600).

Bovada Best Site for Betting on Super Bowl 59

Bovada is arguably the top Super Bowl betting site you can use. They’re one of the most reputable sportsbooks you’ll find online, and they have a nice package of bonuses.

NFL bettors can take advantage of their $750 sports welcome bonus right now, while casino players can get a whopping $3,750 back. They also have an excellent rewards system, a prop bet builder, a parlay booster, and so much more.

Bovada is also perhaps the best site when it comes to NFL wagers. You can literally ask them for any wager your mind can dream up, and they often will allow you to bet on it. If you’re going to bet on the Super Bowl – or the NFL in general – this is the book to start with in 2024.

Should the Detroit Lions be Super Bowl 59 Favorites?

The 2024-2025 Detroit Lions are 11-1, their best start in franchise history. Detroit’s offense has looked unstoppable at times, scoring 42 or more points four times this season. The Lions have dropped a 50-burger twice this season and ended a seven-year drought with their win over the Bears on Thanksgiving

It has not been a perfect season for the Lions, though, and Jared Goff has looked mortal at times. Goff’s ability to sustain his high level of play is not the only concern for Detroit.

The Lions lost Aidan Hutchinson for the regular season after the star edge-rusher broke his leg in Detroit’s 47-9 win over Dallas. Detroit’s injuries on defense have piled up since then, with the likes of Alex Anzalone (forearm), Ifeatu Melifonwu (undisclosed), and Malcolm Rodriguez (hamstring) also going on IR.

Philadelphia is also hot on the Lions’ tails for the top seed in the NFC. Minnesota and Green Bay are also in position to steal the NFC North title if the Lions stumble down the stretch.

Top Contenders for Super Bowl LIX

A healthy Lions team would be a tough out for anyone in the NFL. However, Detroit is far from healthy, and its mounting injuries could derail its championship season. If the Lions fall short, Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Kansas City have the next-best odds to win the Super Bowl this season.

Buffalo Bills (+500)

Buffalo dominated San Francisco in the snow in Week 13. The Bills 35-10 win secured Buffalo’s fifth consecutive division title. Buffalo is the first team to win their division this season and will have at least one playoff game at home in the playoffs.

The Bills are listed at +500 to win Super Bowl 59, which is the shortest odds of any team in the AFC. Buffalo could improve its chances of making the Big Game if it catches the Chiefs for the number one seed.

That will be easier said than done, though, and the Bills could struggle with staying motivated down the stretch. Buffalo’s title chances will ultimately rest on the shoulders of MVP candidate Josh Allen. Allen avoided his usual mid-season slump, but he still has plenty to prove in the postseason.

Philadelphia Eagles (+500)

Philadelphia dominated the Ravens (8-5) in Week 13 to improve to 10-2. Saquon Barkley has been the catalyst the Eagles’ defense needed, and Philly’s defense has smothered opponents as of late.

Barring a 16-1 season from the Lions, the Eagles will have a chance to steal the number one seed. Securing home field would be a significant advantage for Philly. Even if the Eagles must go to Detroit in the postseason, they will likely be the healthier team.

That said, last year’s collapse makes it challenging to trust the Eagles fully. Philly was 10-1 before losing six of their final seven games, including their playoff loss in Tampa Bay. If those struggles reemerge, the Eagles could crash and burn hard down the stretch.

Kansas City Chiefs (+550)

Rounding out the top four are the two-time defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Offshore sportsbooks like the Chiefs at +550 to become the first three-peat of the Super Bowl Era. The Chiefs are 11-1, but nearly every win has been a tough-fought battle for the reigning champions.

Despite their struggles, there are two major reasons to believe in Kansas City again this season. First and foremost, they still have the best quarterback in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes.

The other reason not to count out the Chiefs this year is that their offense is getting healthier. Running back Isiah Pacheco has already returned, and Hollywood Brown could make his Chiefs debut later this season. A healthy Chiefs offense is always one of the best Super Bowl bets, and we have seen Kansas City flip the proverbial switch before.

Best Super Bowl 59 Sleepers

  • Minnesota Vikings (+1600) – Bet Now
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+5500) – Bet Now

Only two teams, the Chiefs and the Bills, have clinched their spots in the playoffs this season. That leaves five playoff spots in the AFC and all seven spots in the NFC still open. The top-heavy NFC is also a great place to find Super Bowl 59 sleepers.

One of my favorite sleepers for this season is the Minnesota Vikings. At 10-2, the Vikings are slightly better positioned than Green Bay (9-3) to steal the NFC North title from the Lions. Green Bay could help their division rival by knocking off Detroit in Week 14.

Minnesota’s defense has been outstanding this season, and Sam Darnold overcame his midseason struggles. If the Vikings win out, they could even be the top seed in the NFC. Despite the Vikings’ high ceiling, they are listed at just +1600 odds to win Super Bowl 59, making them a great sleeper pick.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are another NFC team to consider as a dark horse to win Super Bowl 59. Tampa is 6-6, tied with the Falcons for the best record in the NFC South. However, Atlanta swept the Buccaneers this season, so they have a half-game lead in the division.

Tampa Bay has momentum on its side, though, and could claim the division lead sooner rather than later. Tampa Bay was a tough out last postseason, and if it wins the NFC South, it will be guaranteed a home game in the playoffs.

Top Super Bowl 59 Long Shot

  • Cincinnati Bengals (+25000) – Bet Now

Three teams, New England, Las Vegas, and the New York Giants, have officially been eliminated from playoff contention this season. In theory, the other 29 teams all have a path, unlikely as they may be, to make the playoffs.

Minnesota and Tampa Bay are my sleeper picks, but there are intriguing long-shot options in the AFC as well. For my money, the Bengals (+25000) are the best long-shot bet to win Super Bowl 59. Cincinnati’s defense has been historically bad this year, potentially wasting an MVP-level season from Joe Burrow.

The Bengals have no margin for error, but they still have a chance to make the postseason. A six-game winning streak would make the Bengals one of the hottest teams in the NFL come playoff time.

Cincinnati has two paths to making the playoffs this season, and both involve winning the rest of their games. The first is for their defense to regress to the mean and stop allowing more than 28 points per game. Or, and this may be the more likely option, Burrow must take his game to an even higher level and win shootout after shootout.

Multiple contenders have compelling arguments to be the Super Bowl favorite, but the Eagles are my pick:

  • Philadelphia Eagles (+500) – Bet Now

Detroit’s defensive injuries make them vulnerable, and Philadelphia could be the number-one seed in the NFC. Once the playoffs start, it is hard to imagine anyone stopping Saquon Barkley.
