Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie with Odds and Picks
- Max Holloway is a huge favorite to beat The Korean Zombie, with the UFC Fight Night odds of -720.
- Anthony Smith (+110) is hoping to beat Ryan Spann again, two years after beating him for the first time.
- Erin Blanchfield is a -136 favorite to beat Taila Santos and continue her winning streak in the UFC.
Not bragging, but I did go 10 out of 10 with my UFC picks last week, which includes the +220 Sean O’Malley pick in the main event. I sincerely hope something similar could happen on August 26, when UFC on ESPN: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie will take place.
This event is also known as UFC on ESPN+ 83 as it’s streamed live on ESPN+ on Saturday morning US time. It’s broadcasted so early as it’s taking place on the other side of the globe – the venue is the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
Whether you’re going to watch it live or not isn’t as important as whether you’re going to bet on this event. My advice is that you do it as the UFC on ESPN+ 83 odds are amazing.
Odds for UFC on ESPN 52
If you’re going to bet on 2023 UFC Singapore, my advice is to place bets at the top UFC betting sites like BetUS, BetOnline, or SportsBetting.
It’s not just because these sites are 100% legit and give away awesome bonuses; it’s also because they’re offering better UFC Fight Night odds than anyone else.
For this particular event, I think BetOnline Sportsbook would be your ideal choice. This betting site is giving the best UFC on ESPN+ 83 odds on favorites. For instance, Max Holloway is given -725 at BetOnline.
You might not think of this as of great value but know that there are some sportsbooks that are giving -900 on “Blessed” winning on Saturday.
UFC on ESPN+ 83 Main Event Preview
Take a look at the UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie odds and you’ll see that “Blessed” is a huge favorite. He’s priced at -900 at some betting sites, suggesting that he’s almost certainly going to win.
In fact, favorites with -900 or shorter odds only lost on 12 occasions in the entire history of the UFC.
Holloway’s UFC Fight Night odds are so short because he’s one of the best fighters in the featherweight division. He’s a former champ who lost his title to Alexander Volkanovski, the man who defeated him two more times since.
However, apart from Volk, Holloway hasn’t lost to anyone else in the 145-pound division since losing to Conor McGregor in 2013. And all three of his losses to Volk happened by decision. The Korean Zombie, on the other hand, got TKO-ed by Volk when he challenged for the UFC Featherweight title last year.
Being the UFC record-holder for most strikes, Holloway is expected to outbox his opponent. But can The Korean Zombie maybe take the fight to the ground? I don’t think so. Holloway’s takedown defense is fantastic, the evidence being that even Volk wasn’t able to take him down the last time they fought.
Best Bets for UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie
- Max Holloway to Beat The Korean Zombie at -725 at BetOnline
- Anthony Smith to Beat Ryan Spann at +110 at Bovada
- Erin Blanchfield to Beat Talia Santos at -140 at Everygame
Max Holloway is one of my top UFC Singapore picks, but if his UFC Fight Night odds are too short for you, I’ve got an alternative. The pick you should focus on is Anthony Smith. He’s already defeated Ryan Spann once before, and I think he can do it again.
He’s just superior to him in terms of grappling, not to mention that he seems more powerful. Sure, he’s not in great form, with two straight losses, but the fight against Span in Singapore looks like a perfect opportunity for “Lionheart” to make himself relevant again.

Then, there’s Erin Blanchfield, who’s a -140 favorite against Talia Santos.
She’s 11-1 overall, with her only loss happening by split decision in 2019 in Invicta. Since coming to the UFC in 2021, she’s 6-0, with some really impressive wins – over Miranda Maverick, JJ Aldrich, Molly McCann, and Jessica Andrade.
All of those fighters are better than Santos, which is why I think Blanchfield will have no problems winning on Saturday.
UFC Fight Night Full Card Predictions
- Max Holloway to Beat The Korean Zombie
- Anthony Smith to Beat Ryan Spann
- Giga Chikadze to Beat Alex Caceres
- Rinya Nakamura to Beat Fernie Garcia
- Erin Blanchfield to Beat Taila Santos
- Junior Tafa to Beat Parker Porter
- Waldo Cortes-Acosta to Beat Lukasz Brzeski
- Garrett Armfield to Beat Toshiomi Kazama
- Chidi Njokuani to Beat Michał Oleksiejczuk
- Rolando Bedoya to Beat Song Kenan
- Yusaku Kinoshita to Beat Billy Goff
- JJ Aldrich to Beat Liang Na
- Choi Seung-woo to Beat Jarno Errens
Anthony Smith is the only underdog who I think will win on August 26. But even his UFC Fight Night odds aren’t too long.
On the other end of the odds spectrum is Rinya Nakamura, who’s the biggest favorite on the fight card. The 7-0 Japanese fighter is priced at -800 at SportsBetting and other sites.
Holloway’s odds are also very short, and the same goes for JJ Aldrich, Rolando Bedoya, and many others. I think all of them will have an easy job in Singapore. There are, however, a couple of favorites I wouldn’t back, at least not with a lot of money.
For example, I’m not 100% sure Junior Tafa will do the same as his brother and defeat Parker Porter. Sure, he seems more powerful and more technical than his opponent, but Porter has way more experience.
Betting on UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie
UFC Singapore seems like a great event if you’re interested in live betting. The thing is that there are many favorites on the fight card with very short UFC Singapore odds, but they might shorten during the fight.
This goes especially if the fight doesn’t end quickly, which I think might happen in a couple of those.
For instance, the main event could last for the full 25 minutes, during which Holloway’s odds are bound to move at least slightly. As a result, you’re gonna get better betting value.
