  • Cory Sandhagen is favored to beat Rob Font, who stepped in on a two-week notice to fight.
  • With UFC Nashville odds of -360, Tatiana Suarez continues her resurgence after a four-year hiatus.
  • Diego Lopes (-145) and Tanner Boser (-165) are set to beat two fighters who haven’t fought in ages.

The UFC is heading to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend. On August 5th, UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font (a.k.a. UFC on ESPN 50) will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Sure, the fight card isn’t as exciting as the one from last week, but the UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font odds suggest we’ll see some real battles inside the Octagon.

Let’s take a further dive into the UFC Nashville odds below.

You don’t have to look too hard to find the best betting sites with UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font odds. Bovada, BetOnline, and Everygame, are some of the sportsbooks that have published them already.

Still, the sportsbook I used for the UFC Nashville odds you see above is BetUS. It’s mainly because this online sportsbook is giving great pricing on favorites – I think many favorites will win on August 5th.

For other reasons why you should give this bookmaker a chance, make sure to read our BetUS review; otherwise, head to the site now if you have your picks in lock.

UFC Nashville Main Event Preview

If you’re wondering why UFC on ESPN 50 odds favor Cory Sandhagen, one of the main reasons is that his opponent hasn’t had much time to prepare for the fight. After the Dagestani fighter pulled out, Rob Font stepped in as Umar Nurmagomedov’s replacement.

Another reason is that Sandhagen is a former title challenger, who lost to Petr Yan by decision in the championship fight. Since then, however, The Sandman is 2-0 with wins over Song Yadong (TKO) and Marlon Vera (split decision).

Rob Font also won his most recent fight. He defeated Adrian Yanez by TKO in April, but he lost two fights in a row before that. I think he will put on a good fight on Saturday, possibly even taking it all the way to the final bell.

Still, I think Sandhagen is simply the better fighter and the UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font odds agree. He’s going to land more strikes and create more damage, which should be enough to bring another win his way.

Best Bets for UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font

I’ve already explained why Cory Sandhagen will likely win in the UFC Nashville main event, but what about the co-main event?

The UFC on ESPN 50 odds heavily favor Tatiana Suarez, which you may find surprising as she’s taking on a former champ of the UFC Women’s Strawweight division.

UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font odds are in Suarez’s favor because she’s got a set of skills that Andrade just can’t handle.

Suarez is dubbed “female Khabib” for her incredible wrestling skills. She’s also great striking-wise and has excellent stamina.

The reason why she still hasn’t fought for the title is that Suarez was on a hiatus that lasted nearly four years. But she returned in February and finished Montana De La Rosa in round 2.

Another fighter who’s had a long hiatus is Gavin Tucker. He’s returning to the Octagon more than two years after suffering a nasty KO against Dan Ige just 22 seconds into the bout. However, Tucker’s comeback probably won’t be successful as he’s fighting rising Brazilian star Diego Lopes.

Aleksa Camur is another fighter who’s coming back after two years, and he, too, is likely to suffer a defeat upon his return. It’s because his opponent is a former heavyweight fighter Tanner Boser who’s desperate to end his skid of two losses.

I think many fighters with minus-money UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font betting odds will win on Saturday. In fact, I can only see one underdog capable of upsetting the odds. It’s Dustin Jacoby, who’s one of the best kickboxers in his division.

This guy is coming off two decision losses, but he definitely has the ability to finish almost any opponent. Plus, he also has a high fighting IQ, which is why we could see him outbox Kennedy Nzechukwu and win by points.

I also think there’s a chance L’udovit Klein could stage an upset. I don’t recommend backing him, but I also don’t think betting a lot of money on his opponent would be a smart thing to do.

Bahamondes is six inches taller than him and is a much better boxer, but Klein’s wrestling skills are far superior.

Betting on UFC On ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font

I think a lot of favorites will win in Nashville, which explains why my top UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font predictions are Sandhagen, Suarez, Lopes, and Boser. Their odds might not be too attractive, but you can always parlay them to get a better value.

When it comes to my UFC on ESPN: Sandhagen vs. Font picks for underdogs, I think Jacoby is the only one worth backing. Apart from the UFC best bets, you can also bet on other events.

Sure, UFC Nashville is the only major event on the program this weekend, but we could see some interesting bouts in the future.

For instance, some sportsbooks have released Musk vs. Zuckerberg betting odds, while some also give odds for the boxing duel between Tyson Fury and former UFC champ Francis Ngannou.

The Fury vs. Ngannou odds are out for the October 28 mega fight, with Fury a huge -1500 favorite. Your best price for backing Fury would be MyBookie, who have him at a slightly discounted -1429. Ngannou is a massive underdog, but if you like him, Bovada is...
