UFL Week 1 Odds & Picks (2024)

The UFL Week 1 odds are finally here, which means it’s time for us to make our predictions. This is a big year for the league, especially since it’s the first since the XFL and USFL merger.

I’ll be breaking down the Week 1 UFL odds from the best UFL betting sites below, as well as making my own picks.

The season will kick off on Saturday (March 30^th) with the USFL and XFL champions clashing head-to-head. Birmingham starts their quest for a three-peat, while Arlington looks to prove that they were better than their regular season record last year.

The Stallions are favored by 3.5 points in that matchup, and the point total is set at 42.

St. Louis will take on Michigan on Saturday as well, and will be the heaviest favorites out of any game. The Week 1 UFL betting odds favor them by 6.5 points, and the point total will also be 42 for this game.

DC is another heavy favorite at -6, taking on the San Antonio Brahmas. The Defenders had the best record in the XFL last year at 9-1, but they came up short in the championship. They will look to continue their regular season dominance on Sunday.

The last game of the week will be between the Memphis Showboats and Houston Roughnecks. This is projected to be the closest game of the slate, with the UFL Week 1 odds slightly favoring Houston with a one-point spread.

These are two of the safest Week 1 UFL picks, which includes Birmingham covering the spread and St. Louis’ moneyline. I am expecting these two teams to be some of the league’s best in 2024, and they have some favorable matchups in the first week of the season.

Although Arlington was able to win the XFL championship last season, there’s an argument that they shouldn’t have even been in the playoffs. They finished the year with a 4-6 record, while St. Louis was 7-3. Somehow, Arlington won the title, but they benefitted greatly from being in the South Division.

Birmingham has two legitimate titles, which they won back-to-back. The Stallions have easily been the best team in the USFL, and they should be considered the top team in the new UFL.

A 3.5-point spread should be coverable for the Stallions, who will look to humble the Renegades.

I wouldn’t be surprised if St. Louis considered Arlington to be their rivals since they took the last playoff spot last year and ended up winning the championship. I’m also counting on them to be motivated this season, and Michigan is projected to be one of the lower-ranking teams.

St. Louis very well cover the 6.5-point spread for this game, but the moneyline is a much safer bet, especially since it’s Week 1.

It’s hard to call anything a safe bet when it comes to the UFL, but these two should have high chances of winning in Week 1.

Don’t be afraid to make some daring UFL betting picks either, especially since anything can happen in this league. You can justify betting on any underdog with that reasoning, but ideally, you have a little more to support your argument.

Memphis is technically an underdog, but they are only +1. Their Week 1 UFL odds don’t provide much upside compared to other upset picks.

San Antonio is a 6-point underdog, so it would be quite a surprise if they pulled off the win. However, I think they will be a sneaky team this year. Wade Phillips is taking over from Hines Ward, and he’s one of the most established football coaches around.

Phillips was the coach of the XFL’s Houston Roughnecks last season, who finished at the top of the South Division with a 7-3 record. They don’t have many big superstars on their roster, but Phillips can get a lot of production out of anyone.

You can take San Antonio’s moneyline for a potential knockout at +215, but it also makes sense to take the points at +6 (-115).

It’s a good idea to map out how you think the week will go before you place your bets. The Week 1 UFL betting odds can influence your decision-making process, but you should mainly be focused on the games themselves.

You want to make sure you are betting on the team that you think will win, or consider betting on the upset if you think there’s a chance of one happening. San Antonio is my upset pick of the week, but I like the favorites in the other three matchups.

I don’t think the Stallions will lose many games this season, as they try to win their third championship in a row. Skip Holtz and his quarterback trio of Matt Corral, Adrian Martinez, and J’Mar Smith should give them a chance to dominate their opponents every week.

A.J McCarron is back for another season with the Battlehawks, who have some unfinished business. It’s hard to say where the Panthers will end up this season, but there’s a good chance that they miss the playoffs.

This is John DeFilippo’s first season as the head coach of the Memphis Showboats, who went 5-5 last season in the USFL. He has a good chance to make a good first impression by taking down the Roughnecks in Week 1.

It’s finally time to place our bets for the first season of the UFL. Each team will be looking to establish themselves as the best after the merger. As the UFL Week 1 odds from Bovada imply, there are a few teams who are already standing out.

Birmingham, St. Louis, DC, and Houston are favored to win their first games of the year. However, Arlington, Michigan, San Antonio, and Memphis will be looking to pull off some upsets. Anything is possible in the UFL, and each week is sure to have lots of exciting games.

My favorite pick of the week is for Birmingham to cover the spread against Arlington. I also like St. Louis’ moneyline, and San Antonio is my favorite upset pick of the week.
