Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate each other live on ABC on September 10 – and the 2024 US presidential debate odds suggest Harris will claim victory.

You can decide if you agree or not at the best politics betting sites, which are offering US Presidential Debate prop bets.

Let’s take a look at which sites are offering the best odds and gauge how to bet before the debate arrives.

Who Will Win the US Presidential Debate in 2024?

BetOnline-250+170Visit BetOnline

This is the big question. Trump dominated the TV debate with Joe Biden and came away looking like he was destined to be president. The Democrats then switched out Biden for Harris, and now the game’s back on!

Trump needs to do well here. He is behind Harris in the polls. He will seek to criticize Harris’ record and tie her closely to Biden’s administration.

Trump’s advisors want him to talk about immigration and the economy – two things the GOP polls well at right now. Harris will want to talk about Trump being unfit for office.

BetOnline thinks Harris wins the debate at -250 but we’re not so sure. Trump (+170) knows how to fluster people in a live setting and, if he sticks to immigration and economics, can win the debate.

You’re getting a good price no matter where you go, but considering Harris is favored to win, BetUS might be the best option for this specific 2024 US Presidential Debate betting market.

Will Hot Mics Be Used at the 2024 Presidential Debate?

  • Hot Mics: +200
  • Muted Mics: -275

There are a lot of fun Donald Trump prop bets out there, so it’s nice to see we can bet on a potential hot mic with him at the US Presidential Debate.

The debate over whether to use hot mics at this debate rumbles on. Trump and Biden agreed to mute the other candidate when one was talking during their debate. Trump maintains he wants the mics muted again.

However, the Democrats want “hot mics”, when both candidates can talk at the same time even when one is answering a direct question.

Why? Because the Dems want Trump to interrupt Harris and give Harris the opportunity to point out this rudeness. Trump says he doesn’t mind what happens to the mics but his team are desperate to avoid a hot mic situation.

Will Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Shake Hands?

There’s not much love shared between the Democrats and Republicans right now. US politics is incredibly divisive and top sportsbooks even wonder if Harris and Trump will shake hands for the TV debate.

There was no handshake between Biden and Trump before their TV debate. Usually political candidates will shake hands as a matter of courtesy. Not so here.

Trump loathes Harris and the sentiment is shared the other way. BetUS believe there’s an outside chance at +200 that the pair shake hands. In reality, it’s more likely they are kept apart in perspex boxes than be let near each other.

Odds for the First Mentioned State

First State MentionedOdds
California-110
Pennsylvania-110
New York+800
Georgia+1000
Wisconsin+1000
Nevada+1400

Pennsylvania is the key swing state that Harris must win if she is to win the 2024 US presidential election. California, meanwhile, is her home state and something of a weight around her neck.

Voters in swing states don’t always like Californian politicians lecturing on what’s best for them. Being from such a Democrat-leaning state can affect a candidate’s chances of winning a nationwide election.

Will Trump leap on this? California could easily become the first state mentioned in this debate if he challenges her record as state governor.

What Color of Tie Will Trump Wear?

Color of Trump’s TieOdds
Red-1400
Blue+600
Silver/Grey+1100
Green+1600
Pink/Purple+1600
Full Stars and Stripes+2000

We love a prop bet on what the candidates will be wearing for the debate – and Donald Trump loves red ties. He wore them in the 1980s when building his property empire. He wore one for his cameo in Home Alone 2. He hasn’t really stopped wearing a red tie since he got into politics.

If you’re looking for a banker bet then Trump at -1400 to wear a red tie at Bovada is the obvious choice. Yes, you’ll need to wager $140 to get $10 profit but we can’t see him wearing anything else.

Trump’s just as likely to wear beach shorts and a Hawaiian shirt than wear a different colored tie.

Will Trump Say ‘I Get Bigger Crowds Than You’?

  • Trump to say “I get bigger crowds than you” +600

Trump loves to talk about crowd sizes. Sometimes he plays with the truth a little but one of the first things he notices when speaking to his supporters is the number of people who turn up.

Who remembers this classic from 2018?

Trump has made a habit of talking up crowd sizes again in recent weeks. He also weirdly claimed photos of a 15,000-strong crowd attending a Harris speech in Detroit were doctored using AI.

That may feed the conspiracy theorists but no-one seriously bought the claim. We think it’s possible he’ll bring up crowd sizes and argue he’s more popular than Harris.

In fact, Harris could also bring the topic up, so Bovada’s odds of +600 for Trump saying “I get bigger crowds than you” seems reasonable.

Will Harris Say ‘Shut the Hell Up’?

  • Harris to say “shut the hell up” +5000

Harris hasn’t been truly tested against Trump yet. We saw what happened in the debates with Trump and Hillary Clinton back in 2016. The Republican got under Clinton’s skin. Harris will be ready for this on September 10 but Trump is very good at frustrating his opponents.

Bovada thinks there’s a 2% chance Harris says “shut the hell up” at some point in the night. Those odds of +5000 are the same for her saying “Where’s Melania?”.

If we get to this level of bickering between the two candidates then Trump will probably have won the debate. He’ll look to ruffle Harris’ feathers. It’s for the vice president to stay calm under the pressure.

Betting on the 2024 US Presidential Debate

The next US presidential debate is scheduled for September 10 live on ABC. It’s possible that Trump and Harris will agree to more presidential debates between now and the November 5 election.

You can go with any of the wagers above, but my personal favorite is Harris to win the debate at BetUS (-190). They’re a great site and they have the best odds for my favorite bet.

That said, there is strength in numbers, which is why Bovada is the best option for betting on the US Presidential Debate in general. Bovada has a solid welcome bonus, and they rule the roost when it comes to prop bets for this event.
