Latest 2025 World Darts Championship Odds
The World Darts Championship odds for the winner market are still available on BetUS even though the tournament started on December 15.
You have until January 3 to make your predictions. But which player should you back – Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, someone else? That’s what I’m here to help you with!
Odds to Win the 2025 World Darts Championship
Several sports betting sites have odds for this competition, but I like the ones at BetUS the most. They’re very attractive for literally any bet available, as you can see in the table below.
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Luke Littler | +185 |
Luke Humphries | +275 |
Michael van Gerwen | +900 |
Gary Anderson | +900 |
Gerwyn Price | +2200 |
Wessel Nijman | +2800 |
Chris Dobey | +3000 |
Stephen Bunting | +3500 |
Luke Littler has been sensational so far, already breaking some records at Alexandra Palace. Last year’s runner-up is now the top favorite, with the 2025 World Darts Championship odds of +185.
The man who won the title last year – Luke Humphries – is now second favorite, priced at +275. Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson are the only two other players with odds coming in the form of a three-digit number (each at +900).
Dozens of other players are still in the game for the 500,000 GBP prize, but their chance of winning is very slim. Legendary Peter Wright – famous for rocking a brightly-colored Mohican hairstyle – is priced at +11000, suggesting that there’s no way he’s going to pull it off.

Why is Luke Littler Favored to Win This Year?
A year ago, Luke Littler made his PDC World Darts Championship debut at the age of 16. His age, however, wasn’t the most impressive fact – what really stunned everyone was that he went all the way to the final.
But that was just the beginning. After finishing second in the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship, Littler went on to win the Premier League, as well as the Grand Slam of Darts and even the World Series Finals.
His achievements were recognized by the BBC – Littler won second place at the 2024 Sports Personality of the Year ceremony. The SPOTY award was won by UK’s athletics superstar, Keely Hodgkinson.
The next stop for Littler is the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship. He entered the tournament as the No. 4 seed but quickly made himself the top favorite with an impressive 3-1 win over Ryan Meikle.
His average in that match was 100.85 – the third-highest number in the 2025 tournament (so far) – and in the final set, he threw for a record-breaking set average of 140.91.
Littler’s second match in the 2025 tournament is against Ian White, and he’s expected to beat him easily. If he pulls it off – which I predict he will – Littler will face the winner of the Ryan Joyce vs. Ryan Searle match in the fourth round.
I think he’ll win that match as well, regardless of which of the two Ryans he plays against. Things could get trickier for him in the quarterfinal where he could face Nathan Aspinall.
Still, he should be able to cruise all the way to the final without any major problems. And the final is where he could meet Luke Humphries again.
Top 2025 Darts World Championship Contenders
Luke Littler is the top favorite for obvious reasons, but if he fails, who’s gonna win the title? Defending champ Luke Humphries is the obvious choice, followed by two darts veterans, Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson, the latter of whom is 37 years older than Littler.
Luke Humphries (+275)
You can think of Luke Humphries as Luke Littler’s kryptonite. He beat him in each of their last three duels. Overall, however, Littler has an advantage – he’s 8-7 against Humphries all-time.
What’s interesting is that when it comes to their meetings in finals of major darts tournaments, Humphries is 2-1. One of those wins happened in last year’s Darts World Championship Final.
This really isn’t much of a surprise given that Humphries has a reputation for being cold-blooded – his nickname is “Cool Hand Luke.”
He also has way more experience than Littler. This guy started playing darts professionally in 2017 when Littler was only 10 years old.
The best thing is that Humphries is still in his prime, and his recent form has been sensational. Before the start of the show at Alexandra Palace, Humphries went 6-0 to win the 2024 Players Championship Finals.
Michael van Gerwen (+900)
Here’s a darts betting rule to remember – never underestimate Michael van Gerwen. He’s a three-time PDC World Champion who’s still relatively young, at least for a darts player. Van Gerwen is 35, meaning that he’s got years and years to play and try to cement his status as the GOAT of 501 darts.
But the fact is that he’s not as sharp as he was in his 20s. In fact, the last time he won the world title was in 2019. The Dutchman hasn’t won a single PDC-sanctioned tournament since September 2023, when he won the World Series of Darts Finals.
Gary Anderson (+900)
Are we going to witness Gary Anderson’s “final dance” to the tune of “Jump Around” by House of Pain, his walk-on music? “The Flying Scotsman” is already 54, and it’s been years since we last saw him win a major tournament.
In fact, the last time Anderson won a PDC tournament was in the spring of 2019. However, in 2024, he’s the player with the highest average in the world (99.51). So, who knows, maybe backing him wouldn’t be a bad idea after all.
Sleeper Picks for the 2025 World Championship
Peter Wright and Kevin Doets are my top two sleeper picks, each with World Darts Championship odds of +11000. Even if you go with the minimum bet at BetUS – which is $5 – you can win okay cash ($60) by backing these guys.
But why should you back such huge underdogs? In the case of Peter Wright, it’s because he’s a complete wild card. You never know with this guy, who loves attention, which makes him super-dangerous in big matches.
When it comes to Kevin Doets, this guy has become a real giant slayer in the world of darts. In the second round of the 2025 PDC World Championship, he beat World No. 2, Michael Smith.
Tips for Betting on the World Darts Championship
If you’re new to darts betting, here are a couple of tips you should take into account before placing any bets.
Pay Attention to Players’ Averages
A player’s average tells you how good they are – the higher the number, the faster the player tends to go from 501 to zero. Ahead of the PDC World Championship, the top three players with the highest average in 2024 were Gary Anderson, Luke Littler, and Luke Humphries.
Check Previous Performances at Major Tournaments
Some players excel under pressure; others crack. Luke Humphries is famous for his ability to concentrate and keep his hand cool in crucial moments. This explains why he’s got a great record against other elite players.
Take a Look at Players’ Recent Form
Darts players’ performances tend to go streaky. After a series of losses, the player enters a prolonged winning run, and vice versa. So, who’s coming to Alexandra Palace after a series of good results? They all do, but it’s the two Lukes – Littler and Humphries – who’ve been the most impressive.
2025 World Darts Championship Prediction
Luke Littler to Win the 2025 World Darts Championship (+185) – Bet Now!
Luke Littler is the betting favorite for a reason. I think he’s a fantastic player who’s going to get even better in years to come. Actually, I think we’re witnessing the making of darts history now. My prediction is that he’s going to become the GOAT of darts.
He’s got all the time in the world for that, as he’s still a teenager. Does this mean his ascent to stardom won’t start straight away? It might not if his namesake beats him.
I’m talking about Luke Humphries, of course, who I think is the only person on the planet who can defeat Littler right now. So, if you can, why not back them both? Their 2025 PDC World Championship odds at BetUS are such that you’re going to make a profit for whoever wins.
