The WWE on Netflix has finally arrived. Viewers can now access a massive library containing thousands of hours of WWE programming, including a deep archive of Premium Live Events (formerly known as Pay-Per-Views), classic Monday Night Raws, and more.
I’ve picked the top five Netflix WWE matches to watch to get you pumped up for the 2025 Royal Rumble, which is just around the corner. My list includes matches from the past and the present, so keep reading to learn all about the best WWE matches you can watch on Netflix.
How to Watch WWE on Netflix
WWE launched on Netflix on January 1, 2025. The streaming service added a massive amount of WWE content, and will show live events every week. Netflix carries big Premium Live Events like the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania as well.
Simply go to Netflix and type in “WWE” to bring up WWE events. Not only are there live and archived events, but there is additional programming like “Raw’s Top 10 World Championship Matches” and an array of Superstar profiles on wrestlers like Shawn Micheals, Rhea Ripley, Booker T, and many more.
And if you’re looking to bet on WWE, you can visit some of the top online sportsbooks to put real money down on your favorite superstars and potentially win big.
Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins — Hell in a Cell 2022
Cody Rhodes returned to WWE after eight years away in 2022 as a bona fide superstar. His first feud was against Seth “Freakin’” Rollins, leading to a “Hell in Cell” cage match between the two.
Before the match happened, however, Rhodes was rumored to have suffered a legitimate pectoral tear that threatened to force him to withdraw from the contest.
He didn’t withdraw, and the wrestling world wondered if he was going to be able to compete. The audience loudly gasped when Rhodes took off his ring jacket, revealing a horrific wound that looked like Cody had been in a severe car accident.
Rhodes used this injury to wrestle one of the most compelling and dramatic matches in WWE history, and would spend eight months in recovery after the match.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart — WrestleMania 13
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin is arguably the biggest star in WWE history, and many people point to his submission match against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 as the moment that made him a true superstar.
Austin came into the match as a bad guy, but a bad guy that people were beginning to love. Likewise, Bret Hart was a fan favorite that was beginning to overstay his welcome.
The two battled it out all over the arena, with Bret having to resort to some dirty tactics to keep his opponent at bay. It was a classic match that both wrestlers say was one of the best of their careers.
The final images of the match are some of the most iconic in wrestling history, so head to Netflix today and see one of the best WWE matches ever for yourself.
Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair — WrestleMania 37
Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair is one of the best matches in WWE history, women’s or otherwise. The two clashed for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night One.
Banks was already established as a star and was a member of the so-called “Four Horsewomen” that revitalized the WWE Women’s Division in the mid-to-late 2010’s.
Belair, on the other hand, had been a hot prospect in NXT (WWE developmental) and was showing promise on the main WWE roster. Her match against Banks was her first high-profile match in WWE, and it did not disappoint.
Emotions ran high the entire match, and with athleticism and high-level storytelling, this all-time classic match is very much worth your time.
Undertaker Vs. Mankind Hell in the Cell Match — King of the Ring 1998
The Undertaker vs. Mankind Hell in the Cell is arguably the most notorious match in WWE in history; for both good and bad reasons. In only the second ever Hell in the Cell match ever, the Undertaker and Mankind would engage in one of the most memorable bouts ever.
The match is particularly well known for two moments — one planned and one unplanned — that saw Mankind come perilously close to serious injury, or worse. Regardless, Mankind still tried to do whatever it took to finish the match, despite commentators, other wrestlers, and even then-WWE owner Vince McMahon pleading with him to stop. The match put the Undertaker over as one of the biggest WWE heels in history, as he continued to punish his clearly injured opponent.
If you haven’t seen this one, go out of your way to watch it. And if you have seen it before, go out of your way to watch it again.
John Cena vs. AJ Styles — Royal Rumble 2017
John Cena is a world famous movie star at this point, and while a lot of people are familiar with his wrestling career, a lot of people aren’t too. My personal favorite Cena match is his match against AJ Styles at the 2017 Royal Rumble.
AJ and Cena had already clashed twice before, with Styles getting the best of Cena on both occasions.. But the Royal Rumble match had higher stakes than their previous meetings, as Cena was challenging for AJ’s WWE Championship.
Not only that, but if he were to beat AJ, John Cena would tie Ric Flair for the most WWE championships ever.
This is a classic match between two of the best wrestlers of their generation, and a great introduction to John Cena: the wrestler.

Not only was a massive amount of past WWE content added to Netflix, the streaming service will also air Monday Night Raw every week, as well as Premium Live Events beginning with the 2025 Royal Rumble.
