But before we get to any of that, we’re going to talk about the most important step of all, finding the best sites for betting on The Voice online.
Finding the Best The Voice Betting Sites
Betting on The Voice is unlike betting on football, soccer, or basketball in many ways. One of the ways it’s different is that not every betting site takes action on reality TV shows.
And of the sites that do take action on The Voice, many of them aren’t worth your time. This can make it tricky to find an online betting site to join.
That’s why we suggest you join one of the sites we endorse. We’ve already done all the research and testing, saving you countless hours and dollars. Why not piggyback off our hard work so that you can start betting on The Voice online now?
Here’s why you can trust our recommendations.
- We ensure every site has a gambling license.
- Our team tests the customer support at every site.
- We research the cashier to ensure they have a variety of banking options with reasonable limits and fees.
- Our team makes sure that each site we endorse has a positive reputation, including a rep for paying their bettors quickly.
- We test all online betting sites for safety and security.
If a bookmaker doesn’t meet our standards, we won’t recommend them. It doesn’t matter how good their The Voice betting markets or odds are. It’s just not worth the risk.
That’s how you know that the sites we endorse are safe, secure, and reliable. But what about the betting side of things?
We research and test every sportsbook and bookmaker’s betting platform, too. Here are a few of the things we look for.
- Can you claim and use promotions like deposit bonuses, rebates, VIP programs, etc. for betting on The Voice?
- Our team looks for a variety of The Voice markets and betting types.
- We check whether the bookmaker has reasonable betting and winning limits (since betting sites often reduce both for entertainment bets).
- We test their betting platform to make sure it’s easy to use and looks and works great on mobile devices.
- Our team looks for reasonable The Voice odds that are posted well in advance.
The info we get during this phase is subjective. Not everyone wants to make the same bets, bet the same amount, or anything like that.
What we do here is use our decades of combined online betting experience to determine which sites will appeal to the most people regardless of what they’re looking for.
And that’s how you know that the betting sites we recommend are a great fit for fans who want to bet on The Voice.
That’s our process. It takes a lot of time and money to pull off, but it’s worth it knowing that you’ll join the best sites for betting on The Voice online.
How the Voice Works
If you want to make more winning bets on The Voice, you need to know how The Voice works. It can be confusing to newcomers.
The Voice is unique from other singing competition reality shows in that it’s two competitions in one. The contestants compete to win the show which comes with $100,000 and a recording contract.
There’s also the competition between the judges, who are successful musicians, and whose role it is to mentor each team member. A judge wins when one of his or her team members wins The Voice.
With that in mind, let’s look at how each phase of The Voice works.
Blind Audition
This phase is when the contestants compete for a chance to be on the show.
What’s interesting about the selection process is that the four judges don’t watch the performance but instead face the crowd and listen to it.
If a judge likes what they hear and decides they want to work with the performer, they’ll press their button and their chair will turn around. If more than one judge presses their button, the contestant will get to decide which judge (or coach or mentor) they want to work with.
The chairs also have a “block” button. Each judge can block another coach from turning their chair around and potentially working with a contestant. They can only use this once during this phase, which lasts six episodes.
Once each judge has filled their roster (between eight to 16 contestants depending on the season), they move on to the Battle Rounds.
Battle Rounds
During this two-week phase, the coaches work with the contestants to develop their skills. This is also when they’ll bring on celebrity guest mentors to advise the contestants.
It’s also during this phase that each team members will compete for an opportunity to move on to the Knockouts phase. They’ll sing the same song at the same time. The coach will decide which contestant will move on to the next round.
A unique twist during this phase is that each coach gets two chances to “steal” a contestant who wasn’t chosen by their coach. So, even if a coach overlooks them, they still have an opportunity to move on in the competition.
Each coach also has a “save” that they can use to keep one of their artists after a Battle Round. They can only use this once during the entire season.
Knockouts
This phase is like the Battle Round phase. The remaining team members compete to move on to the playoffs. The big difference is that each member will choose their own song and perform individually.
Otherwise, this phase is the same. The coach determines who moves on and who stays behind. Coaches can also steal a contestant who was left behind or save one of their own team members.
The Knockouts phase lasts two weeks.
Playoffs
This is the last phase before the live performance. Six performers from each team compete for the chance to move on. They choose their own songs and perform individually.
The top two contestants from each team that receives the most audience votes will advance. And each judge will choose one more member from their team to fill the roster for the last phase of the show.
Live Performance Shows
This is the last phase of the show when the remaining 12 contestants compete to see who will win The Voice. This phase lasts about five weeks.
What’s unique about this is that the winner is largely, if not entirely, determined by the audience. They can also save contestants from elimination by commenting on social media.
Each week, the contestants with the lowest votes are sent home until there’s only one person left — the winner of The Voice.
The winner will receive a recording contract and $100,000 cash prize. The winning coach or judge will earn bragging rights.
And that’s how The Voice works. Now that you’re caught up on the format of the show, let’s look at a few tips for winning more of your wagers.
How to Win Money Betting on The Voice
Betting on reality shows is hard because there are so many variables. And these variables — the contestants, judges, show format, and more — usually change every year.
This makes it tough to place winning bets. But it’s not impossible, especially if you follow our The Voice betting tips below.
Viewers Pick the Winner
The tip here is simple. Pay attention to social media, your friends and family, and anyone else who you know who is a fan of The Voice.
The public determines the outcome in the later phases of the show, between voting for their favorites and deciding which contestants they want to save from elimination.
One of the best ways to see which way the public is leaning is Twitter. The Voice fans use hashtags (like #VoiceSave) to cast their vote. This will clue you in as to who they want to save and who they want to see go home.
It might also pay to go through The Voice Reddit or other social media accounts to see who people want to win.
The Coach Makes a Big Difference
Smart coaches (or mentors) choose contestants that mesh well with their type of music and style. A good coach will also understand each team member’s strengths and weaknesses.
This is important when it comes to choosing music and other decisions regarding their performance. If the coach is a bad fit, they might make a poor decision that impacts the contestant’s chances of winning.
Do Your Research
The Voice contestants can’t already be famous or have a recording contract, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t already be popular or have experience some success prior to competing on the show.
We recommend you research each contestant to see which one has had success. This will tell you a couple of things.
- The types of music and genres they sing
- How well they sing and perform
- How popular they are (or aren’t)
- If they have a large following (which might play a role in the TV audience’s vote)
This information is free, all it takes is a little time to look it up. Do it and you’ll increase your odds of making a winning bet.
Song Choice Matters
Contestants not only need to mesh with their coaches, they also need to mesh with the songs they choose to sing. Here’s an extreme example to show you why this is important.
Say someone sings country music but decides to sing a rock ballad for The Voice. What are the chances, do you think, that’ll beat someone who stays in their own lane?
We’d say their chances are slim.
A good way to know if a performer’s song choice is on par is to look at the types of music they’re known to perform or have performed in the past. You can also check to see if the coaches have a reputation for choosing the best songs for each team member.
Compare Odds
This isn’t specific to The Voice but it’s an important tip nonetheless.
Most bookmakers aren’t experts on The Voice any more than you are, maybe less so. They do what research they can and post the odds online with what they think will happen on the show.
So, what you’re going to find is that there’s a discrepancy between the odds that every bookmaker posts. And this is where the opportunity is.
For example, one site might post odds of -150 while another posts odds of -130. Or one site will post odds of 2/1 while another posts odds of 5/2.
One line will cost more than the other or it will pay out more than the other. All you want to do is compare as many lines as you can and take the ones that benefit you the most.
This is a simple tip that will pay large dividends. All you need is account with several top The Voice betting sites to pull it off.
