Review of PlayOJO Casino in 2024

PlayOJO.com looks like a playful site. It’s real hard not to look at their casino full of games, and colors that make you think of cotton candy, and not smile.

But we didn’t come here to play. We went to PlayOJO.com to make sure they’re a casino who offers safe games for you to play. This meant we needed to put on our serious hats.

The first thing we did during our review is check out their “about” page. They share a small trailer that explains how their casino works.

PlayOJO.com said they do a couple things that are designed to put more money back into your pocket. That piqued our curiosity. Then they said that these things aren’t bonuses. That, in fact, they don’t even offer bonuses.

[Record Scratches]

What do you mean you don’t offer bonuses?

We immediately took off our serious hats and put on our skeptical hats. A casino that doesn’t offer bonuses? Who do they think they are?

More importantly, does it work for them? Will it work for you? Can you have a good time at an online casino without playing through a welcome bonus?

That’s something we’ll investigate in our review.

We’re also going to tell you about their 500+ casino games with specific examples of titles you can play from the 15+ software providers they work with. We’ll tell you what we liked and disliked the most about each section, too.

The goal here is to give you all the details – good AND bad – that we can dig up about them. That way you can decide if PlayOJO.com is right for you. If that sounds good to you, keep reading – the review starts in the next section.

PlayOJO Basic Information

PlayOJO.com has been online since 2017. SkillOnNet Ltd. is who manages them.

SkillOnNet Ltd. is a turnkey white-label service provider. They provide a platform that operators can seamlessly integrate into their casinos. These platforms come with a library of casino games from the 15+ software developers we mention below.

SkillOnNet Ltd. is basically a broker.

It’s not clear who owns PlayOJO. It doesn’t say anywhere on their website, so our best guess is that they’re owned and operated by SkillOnNet.

However, they do talk about their staff. It’s rare to see a casino that does this. You can “meet the staff” and learn a little about each person who works at PlayOJO. That’s pretty cool. It helps with establishing trust, too, which is hard to come by in this industry, much less for a brand-new casino.

What also helps with the trust factor is who OJO is licensed through. They have a license through both the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC). That’s a good indicator that your money and information will be safe here.

Restricted Countries – Who Can’t Play

PlayOJO.com doesn’t specify who can and cannot play here beyond saying that gambling is illegal in some jurisdictions and that the list of restricted countries changes from time to time.

That’s a big help. Thanks, PlayOJO!

We turned to AskGamblers.com, an outside resource we trust. They say that the following countries are prohibited from playing at PlayOJO:

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Cyprus
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Hungary
  • Israel
  • Mexico
  • Romania
  • Spain
  • Turkey
  • United States

It’s a good idea for you to read the terms and conditions yourself, as things change quickly. You can also contact support with any questions you may have.

If all else fails, you can go through their sign-up process. You’ll find out pretty quick whether you can play here or not.

The Casino

It’s hard not to get excited when you enter PlayOJO’s casino. That’s because you can see all the software providers they work with at the bottom of their website.

For example, you can play games from this list of providers:

  • Amaya
  • Microgaming
  • Merkur
  • Barcrest
  • Blueprint Gaming
  • WMS
  • Yggdrasil
  • NYX
  • Play’n GO
  • Lightning Box Games
  • Bally Technologies
  • Extreme Live Gaming
  • SG Interactive
  • Evolution Gaming
  • NetEnt
  • Big Time Gaming
  • SkillOnNet
  • Next Gen Gaming
  • RT Gaming
  • And more!

The result is more than 500 casino games that span all categories. You can play slot and video poker machines, table and card games, games with jackpots, and even live dealer games.

Looking at their game page is akin to window shopping at a candy store. You just want to see and touch everything. You want everything for yourself.

Though, as we performed our review, we found that there’s more of some candies than others. We hope you’re not too picky.

You’ll see what we mean as we share specific examples of games you can play in each of the following sections.

Important!
Keep in mind that the games you can or cannot play will depend on the country you’re playing from.

Table Games

These are the table games we found at PlayOJO Casino:

  • Baccarat
  • Punto Banco
  • Blackjack Turbo
  • American Blackjack
  • European Roulette Pro
  • French Roulette Pro
  • American Roulette Pro
  • European Blackjack

You’ll find these games in 3 different sections, too – Blackjack, Roulette Play, and Card Play.

We think that’s unnecessary, as most casinos display all these games under the same heading (table games or card games). You can always choose all 3 of these filters if that’s how you prefer to view them, though.

The most disappointing thing about their table games section is that there are barely any games to choose from. Not only that, but most of what’s here is blackjack and roulette. The biggest improvement they can make is adding 5-10 non-blackjack and roulette games.

They do make up for it a little in their live casino, which we’ll talk about in a second. Not everyone wants to play live games, though. Some people prefer animated games.

As for stakes, you can expect to find games with limits ranging from £1 to £1,500.

Video Poker

Here are the video poker games you can play at PlayOJO.com:

  • Joker Poker
  • Aces & Faces
  • Deuces Wild
  • Jacks or Better

And… that’s it.

Obviously, the most disappointing thing here is that they only offer 4 video poker machines. They do offer multi-hand variants of these games, which includes 1-, 3-, 10-, and 25-hand options. That doesn’t make up for the other 7-10 unique games they could have, though.

That said, if you’re okay with this short list of poker machines, then we think you’ll at least be happy with how they look and play.

The graphics on the Jacks or Better machine we tested were excellent. The graphics were fancy, as if they had a professional designer make them. What’s more is that they have lights flashing in the background, which makes the colors and gradients pop off the page.

The game worked well, too. We have no complaints there. One feature we liked was how they instantly hold winning hands for you. That way you don’t accidentally click “deal” without holding all the cards you need to make your hand.

As for limits, £0.10 per coin is a safe bet for the minimum. Bet all coins on the maximum amount and you can expect to play for £5-£25, and possibly even higher if you play the multi-hand variants.

This section is all right once you look past the lack of games. However, if they added 5-10 games, it’d make a huge difference.

Slots

The slots section is arguably the strongest section at PlayOJO.com. If anything, it’s due to the sheer volume of machines you have to choose from.

Here are some examples of the machines you can play:

  • Thunderstruck II
  • Vikings Go Berzerk
  • Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead
  • Immortal Romance
  • Asgardian Stone
  • 7 Sins
  • Golden Mane
  • Medusa
  • Tower Quest
  • Dragons Treasure
  • Orient Express
  • The Reel Deal
  • Temple of Luxor
  • Wild Play Super Bet
  • Magic Mirror
  • Valley of the Gods
  • El Torero
  • Knights Life
  • Pimped Raging Rhino
  • Great Wild Elk
  • Fishin’ Frenzy
  • The Phantom’s Curse
  • Triple Cash Wheel Quick Hit
  • The Legend of Big Foot
  • Amazon Queen
  • Bingo Billions!
  • Gem Rocks
  • Vampires
  • Gold of Persia
  • Snow Leopard
  • Rainbow Ryan
  • Gnome Wood
  • Super Heroes
  • Dragon Ship
  • Legend of the White Snake Lady
  • The Naked Gun
  • Hall of Gods
  • Mega Moolah Isis
  • Hitman
  • And more!

This is a drop in the bucket compared to the total number of slot machines you can play. To give you some perspective, the only filter we used is the “3+ reels.” You know how many machines popped up?

440.

That means this list accounts for less than 10% of the total number of slot machines you’ll find in that section, never mind all the sections combined.

Speaking of filters, they’re one of the few casinos who have in-depth filters for their casino. It’s more important for slot machines, though, because there are hundreds of titles to wade through. Here are some of the filters you can use:

  • Volatility Level
  • Slots Themes
  • Slot Features
  • Slots Symbols
  • Number of Pay Lines
  • Number of Reels
  • 3 Reels
  • 3+ Reels

These are great to use because when you click on each one, assuming they have more options, they’ll drop down so you can narrow your search further.

This applies to their themes filter, too. For example, you can choose from these slot themes:

  • Legends
  • Fantasy
  • Adult
  • Numbers
  • Automobiles
  • Oriental
  • Arcade
  • Classic
  • Comics
  • And more!

If you’re not sure what slot machine you want to play, we highly suggest you go through their advanced search filters and choose whatever sticks out to you. The slots themes are a good place to start. We also like Slots with Bonus Rounds, as bonuses make slots feel more interactive, like a video game.

Whatever slot machine you choose, though, we’re sure you’ll have a good time.

Live Dealer Games

Last up, let’s talk about PlayOJO’s live dealer games. Their live dealer casino is made up of games from NetEnt and Evolution Gaming. These are two of the best live casino developers in the industry.

Here are some of the games you’ll get to play:

  • Roulette
  • Auto Roulette
  • Platinum Live Casino
  • Blackjack
  • French Roulette
  • Low Limit Auto Roulette
  • Immersive Roulette
  • Common Draw Blackjack
  • Casino Hold’em
  • Italian Blackjack
  • High Limit Auto Roulette
  • Classic Roulette
  • Sizzling Hot Roulette
  • Club Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • Classic Roulette La Partage
  • Dolphin’s Roulette
  • Golden Ball Game Show Edition
  • Super 6
  • Reel King Roulette
  • And more!

There are more than 60 options in their live casino. Keep in mind, though, that there are going to be lots of duplicate titles, extra tables, high/low variants, and games that cater to players speaking other languages.

Still, this is a solid list of live games.

If you click on the arrow at the bottom of each game tab in the lobby, you’ll get to see what stakes you can play for, as well as other details. We wish every casino did this, as it makes finding your ideal table fast and easy.

As for table stakes, they start at £1 per hand/round. The max is as high as £5,000 to £10,000 for table games, and £75,000 for roulette. It depends on the game, variant, and software developer.

These games will also have neat features you can use, such as betting behind (useful when a table is full), controlling the camera angles, and chatting with the dealer and other players.

PlayOJO.com has done a solid job here. Their live casino is as close as you’ll get to playing a live game without having to leave your house.

Banking Options

The following covers the options you’ll have to make a deposit and cash out your winnings from PlayOJO.com. We also included the minimum/max limits, as well as any fees there may be.

Here are the options you can use:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • PayPal
  • Paysafecard
  • EcoPayz
  • Maestro
  • Direct eBanking
  • Instant Banking by Citadel
  • Fast Bank Transfer
  • Solo/Switch

You can use these options for both deposits and cash-outs.

The minimum deposit limit is £10. The minimum cash-out is £20.

Bank wires will have a £10 fee, unless you cash out £500 or more, in which case they’re free. Withdrawals made by credit/debit card or online wallets won’t have any fees, either.

They say nothing about maximum limits on their site. That goes for progressives, too. We sent them an email to ask about it, but it’s been 6+ days and we have yet to hear back from them.

Bonus Promotions

PlayOJO.com doesn’t offer traditional online casino bonuses. They do things a little different here. Here are some details about what you can claim instead:

  • Welcome Play Package – Make a deposit, and you’ll get up to 50 free spins. You’ll get one spin for every dollar you deposit. All your winnings are paid in cash. There’s no playthrough, either, which is awesome!
  • Kickers – PlayOJO.com will ship you exclusive deals that are “hand-picked” for you every day of the week. These offers only last 24 hours, so you want to get into the habit of checking your messages in the morning so that you can quickly decide if you want to use them.
  • Reel Spinoffs – PlayOJO runs live slots tournaments every day. Earn points and climb their leaderboard. If you finish in the top 3, you’ll win a free spins package.
  • OJOplus – This is the most interesting offer here. They say that, for every bet you make, they will put money directly back into your account. This is done in real time.

They have a chart showing you how much money you can get back. It depends on the game you play.

What’s cool is that even video poker players will get cash back (though it’s a paltry 0.06%). You can play with this money or cash it out. It’s up to you.

  • OJO Wheel – Whenever you play enough to move up in levels, PlayOJO.com will give you a free spin on one of three reward wheels. You can also receive free spins randomly as a gift from OJO.

As you go up, the prizes you can win get better. However, the risks increase, too.

For example, on the easy wheel, you’re guaranteed to win. As you move up, you can also lose… and it gets easier to lose by the time you get to the third wheel.

How much risk are you willing to take?

  • Club OJO – The more you play, the more progress you’ll make on the “smile bar.” You can see what that looks like here. Whenever you hit a new level, you’ll receive spins on the OJO Wheel.

What we really like about this club is that you’ll never move back down for not playing enough. The only way you can go is up.

  • OJO A-Lister – This is their exclusive VIP club. Their managers check the activity of their players regularly. If you’re a good fit, then they’ll be in touch.

One of the perks is a higher (cash-back) payout per game. It’s double compared to the same game and amount wagered for regular players on their highest VIP level.

You’ll also receive additional perks, such as:

  • Increased betting limits
  • Dedicated manager
  • Exclusive kickers
  • Higher withdrawal limits
  • Faster cash-outs
  • Luxury gifts
  • Exclusive A-lister competitions
  • Win super spins and mega spins
  • And more!

This is a neat program. Yes, it sounds pretty much the same as other exclusive programs. But what makes it unique is the (extra) cash back you’ll get from every bet you make.

And… that wraps it up for their offers.

We were skeptical when we first read that they don’t do the traditional (welcome) bonus. Then we learned about what they do offer and have since changed our minds.

The thing we like most is receiving cash back for every bet you make. It’s like receiving rake-back for poker players.

That’s only the start, though.

You’ll also get free spins, access to slot tournaments, a VIP club, and the chance to become an A-Lister. They also have neat free spin promotions where you can win prizes.

The bottom line – we’re not sure how many casinos can pull off not offering bonuses. PlayOJO.com managed to do just fine.

Mobile Friendliness

PlayOJO Casino Mobile Screenshot from iPhonePlayOJO offers an instant-play mobile casino. Just go to their website from your browser, and you can access and play their games. No download necessary.

They do offer an option for Android and Apple users to save a shortcut to your phone by clicking the “Add to Home Screen” option. It’s not mandatory, though.

We checked out their casino using an iPhone 6s. The casino was laid out identical to their desktop casino, only smaller. It was intuitive to use – we were able to find their games, offers, banking options, and more, without any issues.

It was hard to gauge game selection. Though, from first glance, it looked similar to their desktop casino.

One thing they did NOT have are the filters we talked about earlier. This is sort of a bummer, as that was one of our favorite features from their casino. It sure makes searching for slots machines much easier to do.

Customer Support

You can contact PlayOJO.com by:

Envelope
PHONE: 0203 1500 943
LIVE CHAT

It’s awesome to see a phone number you can call if you need help. They’re a brand-new casino, which makes this even more impressive. There are large brands that have been around for decades that you cannot get on the phone with.

We had a few questions for PlayOJO.com regarding limits, progressive jackpot wins, and so on. We reached out to them by email, but unfortunately, it’s been 6 days, and we have yet to hear back from them.

That sucks. It gives you a good excuse to hit them up by live chat or by phone, though.

They also a FAQ section where they answer the most common questions they get from customers. You’ll find answers to questions about their loyalty program, banking, the OJO Wheel, Kickers, and loads more.

You might start here with any issues you have to avoid dealing with their support altogether.

Conclusion – PlayOJO.com

That’s PlayOJO.com. Here’s a summary of our thoughts.

There are a few things they can do better. For example, they can add more table and video poker games. They have a robust live dealer casino and video poker variants, but those aren’t a good replacement for more unique games.

We’d also like to see more details about restricted countries, banking limits, and whether they pay progressive jackpots in full.

It’d be nice to get a reply to the emails we sent them, too. That’s probably our biggest gripe at the moment.

That all said, while we thought the lack of a traditional bonus would work against them, now we think otherwise. They’ve done a good job with their free spins promotions, VIP Club, and OJO Wheel.

The coolest thing is the cash back. It really incentivizes you to play more, between the cash back you can get now and the cash back you can get once you move up a level.

Then you have the hundreds of casino games you can play. It’s hard to find anything to complain about there.

The bottom line – PlayOJO.com is an easy recommendation for us to make. We only rated them as low as we did because they’re new and failed to reply to our emails.

Don’t let either of those things stop you from checking them out, though.

You try to make a withdrawal! It’s easier to get a mortgage, they ask for so much info it’s ridiculous! No other site I play on does this the withdrawal just goes back onto your card pretty much straight away. I really think it’s a scam as they ask for copies of bank statements, driving licence and debit/credit card and so hold all your details, this can’t be right surely?

Complete horse Sh*t of a casino, the % is ALOT lower than other big names. Almost borders on a scam site.
