Age of The Gods: God of Storms Slot Review

Since losing the rights to the hugely popular Marvel Universe games, the Age of Gods series has become ever more important for Playtech. Luckily then, that the games based loosely on ancientmyths have proved to be such a smash hit with players. God of Storms is the latest in the sequence, following on from such hits as Fate Sisters and King of Olympus.

This game features similar imagery, with heroic looking figures featuring against a backdrop of a mythical city. The high value symbols are the Spartan, the Greek goddess, archer, sea monster andurn, with playing card symbols making up the rest.

Breath of The Gods

There are two wild symbols in this game, and the second of these forms the main interest of this game. The first wild is a grey slab engraved with the word ‘Wild’, which can cover up to threereels. The second wild is altogether more interesting.

This is the ship ‘Argos’, and again can cover all three reels when it appears. If only part of either of the wilds show on the reels, then they still function as regular wild symbols. However, ifthe entire ship appears on one of the reels, then it summons the titular ‘God of Storms’ into action.

This god – Aeolus – makes an appearance to the right of the reels to trigger what is called the Wild Wind Respins. He then blows the ship towards the left-hand side of the reels, as an automaticrespin takes place at the same time.

Respins occur for each time the ship is blown further to the left, one reel at a time, until it is blown entirely off the reels. What’s more, for every time the god blows the ship, the multiplierincreases by one up to a maximum of five. Ideally, you would like the stacked wild ship to appear on the far-right reel, so that you will get the maximum amount of respins and multipliers.

Lacking in Excitement

There is no bonus round in this game other than the Wild Wind Respins outlined above, which may leave some players cold. Truth be told, God of Storms is not the most exciting of the Age of Godsseries of games, although visually it compares well with any of them. There are 25 paylines on this game, and it is a medium variance game so you can expect wins on a reasonably frequent basis. While the stacked ship does not appear all that often, one or other of the wilds regularly makes an appearance.

Summary

One thing that always makes the Age of Gods games worth playing, though, is the massive progressive jackpots on offer.
There are four jackpots to play for, and after any spin you can be entered into the jackpot game, where you see a rid of 20 squares. Match three symbols to win one of the four jackpots, withthe hard-to-locate symbols correlating to the major jackpot prize. This means that even if the game is not too gripping, the possibility of unlocking that jackpot game will keep many peoplespinning those reels.
