All Aboard Slot Machine Review
All Aboard is an online slot machine from Rival Gaming based on trains and locomotives of the past. It features 5 reels and 20 pay lines.
All Aboard brings the railroad to life with symbols like railroad spikes, lanterns, water towers, live stock cars, and many more.
From Casey Jones to other familiar railroad favorites this game is perfect for all those train lovers out there.
But what makes it stand out amid the other games Rival develops?

Find out as we cover the following All Aboard features:

The reels are set into a background of a green train car. The old timey feel of the wooden planks and the colorfully numbered lanterns that represent the pay lines goes great with the theme ofthe game.
Having the background as a railroad track or even a steam engine might have been a better choice.
But the symbols contrast well with the green of the planks and the colorfully numbered lanterns and doesn’t detract from the reels so we won’t complain.
The buttons at the bottom are also shown as part of the train car by being displayed as plaques mounted on the outside.
Music and Sound Effects
The background sounds for this game are faint most of the time
But occasionally you hear the dings of crossing signals and the locomotives horn as the train approaches a crossing.
Because the sounds are faint and the crossing sounds only come up occasionally the background sounds don’t seem to become annoying like in other games.
But the sound effects used during the reel spin are another story all together.
When you hit the spin button and the reels start to spin it sounds like a train going down the tracks which would be fine by itself but there is a spinning sound that goes along with the spinningreels and it is awful.
You also hear a bell ring anytime the golden bell symbol lands on one of the reels. This doesn’t bother us as much as the continual spinning sound. When you complete winning combination dings gooff much like those that would go off at the crossing signs at railroad tracks.
Other sound effects are seen throughout the game that bring the symbol animation to life.
All the sound effects are well picked to suit the game theme except for the spinning sound during each spin.
But the sounds effects associated with the game are well picked and not so overbearing that you have to mute them.
Animations
All Aboard’s animations are found on most of the symbols. When you receive a winning combination, you see the symbols come to life.
Here’s an example:
- Blinking railroad crossings
- Train tracks being laid out on the expanding wilds
- Train horn

Symbol Graphics
All Aboard’s symbols are cartoonish graphics that go well with the theme. We especially like the exaggerated head size of the conductor.
Our favorite symbols are the conductor, Casey Jones, and the crossing sign.
But we appreciate all the symbols Rival designed for this game.

The wild in this game is an old-time steam engine. This wild is different from other wild symbols; it will expand to cover an entire reel of the game when it appears.
When the symbol expands it takes the place of any symbol to help you complete matching combinations. With this symbol covering an entire reel it can complete multiple combinations unlike thesingle wild.
Betting Options
The 20 pay lines are not fixed, so you can pick how many lines you want to play. We found you have a better chance when you play all pay lines than when you pick and choose. There is no way topredict slot outcomes so there’s no advantage to changing the number of pay lines being played.

Conclusion
All Aboard has many aspects working in its favor: a great theme oriented atmosphere, good graphics, and lucrative bonus features.
With its many railroad related symbols stacking up to make a winning combination, the train car atmosphere works well this the theme.
With some graphics having over exaggerated features this game offers a mixture of high quality and playfulness.
When playing the bonus game you can expect a fun and exciting game similar to minesweeper. Find all the box cars with coin amounts before you find an empty one.
Don’t forget the expanding wilds and the Casey Jones Free Spins that come up more often than the bonus and provide you with more chance at getting substantial wins.
Something we like about this game is the betting options; this game has a coin value range from .01 to .25 cents per coin makes it more accessible to players of all budgets.
Although this game doesn’t promote a high win frequency it’s still a great game to play. You can find it online and can play it for free or real money. We recommend trying it out on the free gamebefore going to the real money games just to get the hang of it and see if it’s a game you like
