Given the innovative titles which have come out of Yggdrasil studios over the years, Bicicleta is quite a conventional slot game. It’s a 5 reel 25 payline game with unexceptional graphics where cartoonish images of players are the big value symbols. Lower value icons are the diamond, spade, club and heart symbols with a football motif. There is a wild symbol, and that does whatwild symbols do in slot games!

As usual, the real action happens when the bonus rounds are triggered by finding 3 football Free Spin images. You get 8 spins for 3 scatters, 16 for 4 and 25 for 5. An interesting feature of thefree spin rounds is the Sticky Wild bonus. Any player which shows up on screen during free spins could turn into a sticky wild. This wild will stay in place for the remainder of the free spins,and of course more can be added.  The more you collect, and the earlier you collect them, the bigger your wins will be.

Another nice little extra is the Trophy symbol which can only show up on the 5th reel in either base or bonus games. During the base game it randomly awards between 8 – 12 spins or up to 1,000coins. So where does Bicicleta finish in the league table of football themed slot games? It is certainly not relegation threatened, but nor is it a champion either. Bicicleta is probably respectablyplaced among soccer slots but never threatening to top the table. The graphics and design of the game are a level below the best from Yggdrasil, unfortunately. However, the bonus round stickywild feature make up for a lot as they allow for major wins. The return to player is a mid-table 96.3% and this medium variance game is slightly middle of the road. It has not proved a winnerwith slot gamers, but we expect Yggdrasil to return to their world-beating best with future releases.
