RTP for Dangerous Beauty is 94.9%, which is below average for an online slot. This falls in line with the average win frequency that we experienced with Dangerous Beauty.
Dangerous Beauty Slot Machine
Developed by High 5 Games and licensed to IGT, Dangerous Beauty is a 5 reel, 40 pay line slot that’s found in both land based and online casinos. IGT is also known as International GameTechnology and is headquartered in Reno, Nevada in the United States.
Dangerous beauty is about a young woman who defends her village with a samurai sword. This slot also features an Asian angle, as evidenced by the buildings in the background and dragons found onthe reels.
We always go into Asian themed slot machines with hesitation because many of them feature the same symbols, graphics, and music. But we were surprised to find that Dangerous Beauty is fardifferent from any other Asian themed slot that we’ve played.
What are the aspects that make Dangerous Beauty stand out in the gaming world’s most crowded genre?
Find out as we cover this game’s atmosphere, music, animations, pay table, graphics, bonuses, betting options, and comparisons to similar slot machines.
Dangerous Beauty Slot Machines Overview
Atmosphere / Background
This game creates a sense of danger by featuring a dark sky, bright moon, and mist in the background.
Based on the moon, sky, and mist, Dangerous Beauty’s background could easily fill in for a vampire or werewolf themed slot.
You’ll also notice pagoda roofs at the top of the screen, giving the first indication that this is an Asian slot machine. The bottom of the screen features moss and rocks, showing that this is arural village.
Music and Sound Effects
The music that plays when you spin the reels is a generic tune that we’ve heard in other High 5 slots. It doesn’t sound totally off base when compared to the theme, but this music wasn’t createdspecifically for Dangerous Beauty.
Sound effects during winning payouts range from the generic variety to sounds that’ll remind you of Asian culture. The most unique sound effects come when any of the 3 woman symbols appear in awinning combination.
When you trigger free games, you’ll hear a fast paced Asian tune playing that does an excellent job of reflecting the game theme.
Animations
Dangerous Beauty offers several entertaining animations during winning payouts. These animations include: pink lights going around the woman, yellow sparks shooting in front of the woman, greenlights going around the Free Games icon, and yellow lights going around the wild symbol.
Also note that Dangerous Beauty offers super stacked symbols, where a symbol can take up 3 5 reels. When this happens, you’ll see a big close up of the symbol as lights shoot around its edges.
Dangerous Beauty Pay Table and Graphics
You can see Dangerous Beauty’s symbols and payouts below. When looking at these, note that the same woman appears in 3 different symbols:
- Dangerous Beauty Icon Wild
The Dangerous Beauty icon substitutes for every symbol except the green dragon to form winning combinations. It’s also the highest paying symbol in the game, offering 1,000 credits for 5symbols on a pay line, 250 credits for 4 symbols on a pay line, 50 credits for 3 on a pay line, and 10 credits for 2 on any active pay line.
- Green Dragon Bonus
Appearing only on reels 2, 3, and 4, the green dragon triggers 7 free spins when it’s stacked on all three middle reels. The dragon offers no payouts on its own.
- Woman in Black Kimono w / Black Hair
Holding her sword high while preparing for attack, this version of the woman pays 50 credits for 5 symbols, 19 for 4 symbols, 10 for 3, and 4 for 2.
- Woman in Red Kimono
Holding her sword with one hand, this symbol pays 40 credits for 5 symbols, 17 for 4 symbols, 8 for 3, and 3 for 2.
- Woman in Black Kimono w/ White Hair
This is the least aggressive pose from the woman since she’s holding an umbrella. This symbol offers 30 credits for 5 symbols, 16 for 4 symbols, 6 for 3, and 2 for 2.
- Leopard, Panther
We’re not sure if the woman has to protect her village from wild animals, but a leopard and panther are prowling the nearby forest. They both pay 20 credits for 5 symbols, 15 for 4, and 5 for3.
- A
The A pays 15 credits for 5 symbols, 10 for 4, and 5 for 3.
- K
This letter offers 14 credits for 5 symbols, 9 for 4, and 4 for 3.
- Q
The Q pays 13 credits for 5 symbols, 8 for 4, and 3 for 3.
- J
This letter pays 12 credits for 5 symbols, 7 for 4, and 2 or 3.
- 10
The 10 offers 11 credits for 5 symbols, 6 for 4, and 1 for 3.
Symbol Graphics
The 3 symbols of the woman feature excellent detail, from her different hair accessories to the tattoo on her left arm. We also like how High 5 put the girl in 3 different outfits / styles, whichreminds us of the TV series Alias.
The leopard and panther symbols aren’t as detailed as the woman, but they still look better than what’s seen in most slots.
Even the number and five letters feature embellishments to give them an Asian feel.
Dangerous Beauty Slot Bonus Features
Dangerous Beauty’s biggest weak point is that it only offers free spins as a bonus.
The main game offers stacked symbols, which adds another interesting feature to this slot. Here’s a look at what you can expect from the free spins and stacked symbols.
Free Spins
You must fill reels 2, 3, and 4 with the green dragon scatter to trigger free spins. This sounds harder than it is because the green dragons appear stacked regularly.
It didn’t take us long to trigger 7 free games, and we were able to trigger them again within a few more spins. When free spins begin, the reels turn light red, and you’ll see sunlight at the topof the screen.
One bad thing about these free games is that you can’t retrigger them. Another problem is that you don’t get any perks like extra wild symbols, sticky wilds, or multipliers.
Stacked Symbols and Super Stacked Symbols
Any symbol can appear stacked in the main game, which gives you a strong chance to form big wins on any turn.
If you get 3 or more stacked symbols adjacent from each other, you’ll form a super stacked symbol.
As long as you’re playing multiple pay lines, you’ll win multiple payouts with a super stack. It’s possible to fill all 5 reels with a single symbol, which we did once with the panther.
Whenever you get a super stacked symbol, the symbol comes off the reels while music plays and your win is added up. This increases the excitement that you’ll already have from getting a superstack.
Betting Options
You can change pay lines from 1 to 40 in increments of 1, 10, 20, 30, and 40. You can also adjust your coin denomination from $0.02 to $2.00.
This makes for a minimum bet of $0.02 and a max wager of $80.00 per spin. But to cover all of the pay lines with a minimum wager only sets you back 80 cents per spin.
Some versions of this game also allow you to use Auto play, which lets you automatically spin the reels for between 5 and 25 spins with your selected betting options. You can quit Auto play atany time by pushing the button again.
Other Options
The most interesting option in this game is the ability to re watch the previous spin by clicking Replay. This is perfect for times when you get a super stacked symbol and want to replay your bigwin.
Another option is the ability to turn sound on and off with the speaker button next to the Spin button.
Win Frequency
The win frequency in Dangerous Beauty is average for a 40 pay line slot machine. This surprised us because Dangerous Beauty has lots of stacked symbols, making it seem like they’d form numerouswins.
But the truth is that you’ll go through some cold streaks, followed by times where you get a couple super stacked symbols or bonus rounds in a short span.
Considering how super stacks are common in this game, it’s worth sticking through the cold streaks to win big.

Game Rules
Rules for Dangerous Beauty are standard for a 5 reel slot machine, which you can see below:
- Winning pay line symbols must start on the leftmost reel and appear on adjacent reels.
- If two or more wins occur in the same line, only the highest paying win counts.
- Pay line wins are multiplied by credits bet per line.
- Malfunction voids all pays and plays.
Comparison to Similar Slot Machines
We haven’t come across any slot machines that are exactly like Dangerous Beauty, which combines a sword wielding beauty with Asian culture. But we have found a couple of games that are remotelyclose with their female hero and danger elements.
Here’s a look at how Dangerous Beauty compares to Microgaming’s Agent Jane Blonde and Novomatic’s Zenia: Queen of War.
Agent Jane Blonde
This 5 reel, 9 pay line online slot revolves around a secret agent who’s basically the female James Bond. Some of the sounds effects during winning payouts are near replicas of music from a Bondmovie.
Much like Dangerous Beauty, this game’s symbols include several different pictures of Jane Blonde, including her wearing a handkerchief, standing outside an airplane, in a wetsuit, andsnowmobiling. You’ll also see weapons on the reels, like a pistol and exploding gum.
If you land 3 or more Jane Blonde icons anywhere on the reels, you’ll trigger 15 free spins. Similar to Dangerous Beauty, these free games don’t offer any extra help with regard to winning.
The graphics are presented in comic book style, which adds an interesting element to this game. The various poses of Jane Blonde especially look good.
Based on the symbols, limited bonuses, and solid graphics, you’ll find that Agent Jane Blonde and Dangerous Beauty are equal to each other – just with totally different themes.
Zenia: Queen of War
This 5 reel, 100 pay line slot machine is a cross between Greek mythology and the TV series Xena: Warrior Princess.
Riding a horse and wearing low cut armor, Zenia can appear as a stacked wild symbol. When she does so, you’ll see an excellent animation where she draws her sword and gallops across a field.
The beasts that Zenia must fight include a Minotaur and Manticore, while you’ll also see the sword and throwing stars that Zenia uses too.
Overall, we’d say that this game’s symbols offer better graphics than Dangerous Beauty. But this is only because secondary symbols like the weapons and monsters look better than what DangerousBeauty offers.
As for features, Zenia: Queen of War offers free spins, a Queen Jackpot, and a War Jackpot. The War Jackpot is bigger and can only be won during free spins.
Dangerous Beauty and Zenia: Queen of War are comparable in several ways, and we don’t see either slot having a significant advantage over the other.
Conclusion
Dangerous Beauty isn’t a game that’ll impress you with lots of bonuses and extra frills. Where this game’s biggest strengths lie are with the atmosphere, symbols, and animations.
The dark sky and moon come together to create an ominous atmosphere where danger could be lurking around any corner.
We also like the different poses of the Dangerous Beauty used as symbols, along with the exciting animations that happen when these symbols land in a winning combination.
Bonuses are the one downside to this game because you can only get free spins, which don’t offer anything special to help you win more often.
On the bright side, the stacked symbols happen frequently enough that you’ll get some big payouts from these.
If you’re somebody who loves bonuses in slots, then Dangerous Beauty won’t keep you interested for very long. But if you like quality slot machines that cover all of the other important bases, then you’ll enjoy Dangerous Beauty.
